Hi Chris - I wonder if something has changed in Azure Log Analytics that would cause the PBIT file to no longer work. I just downloaded it, ran it, entered the necessary information and I am getting an Error 400 - Bad Request error during the initial load. Thanks very much.
Thank you Chris for this detailed setup tutorial. I may be somewhat old school, but I am looking for a similar report for Azure Analysis Service, would you know of one? Or whether it's possible to adjust a few things to get this report running for Azure Analysis Service as well?
Is there any possibility to create such a report for all workspaces in our tenant? or still we need to do this by scripts, loading this data to some storage and so on? regards Chris!
Impressive insights. Is it also possible to monitor/ analyze usage per visual instead of only per report(page). This would give insights in which visuals are or aren't effective.
FANTASTIC question. This is not super easy, but it can be done. A big piece of this revolves around if you are, or are not, naming the visuals on your reports and if they are unique enough to identify from within the logs. Its a bit of a challenge, but it can be done, at least to some extent.

does log analytics begin the moment you connect to a workspace or can it look at usage data months before? In other words, does log analytics begin tracking all monitoring data the moment it is connected to a power bi premium workspace? Thanks !!
Great question. The way that the backend of the solution is designed, there should not be any issues with performance. With that said... I have not been able to create a stress test around this as of yet.
To save on costs can I limit what I want to bring into log analytics? On a profiler trace can’t you pick what you want to trace? Can you do the same with the log analytics connection. Or is it all or nothing from a workspace? For example, I only want to log operations where the operation name is "queryEnd"

It's a pity this is only for Premium workspaces - also is there a way to I.D. users that have downloaded a semantic model from the service?

Technically, yes, each of these steps has an API that you can use (I believe) to set these up en-mass.
