    The red silicone strands I think are for the edges around the pie oan rim...so when you bake the edges don't burn.

    I only caught the end of the premiere so I'm watching the replay. I don't know if anyone explained that the blue thing that came with the measuring cups is a collapsible funnel but I'll let you know anyway, just in case. It's normally used for filling a bottle with a smaller opening from a bigger bottle or with a ladle/spoon. Very useful and the collapsible ones take up less room in your kitchen. 😊👍
    Edit: Technically, the rolling pin is French, or at least French style, lol.
    Edit 2: The red things made of silicone look like edge covers. They go around the edge of a baking dish or pie pan to keep the edges of what you're making from burning before the middle finishes cooking. You can put it on your pan/dish from the beginning then remove near the end of baking time or if you check your baking and notice the edges are getting too dark but the middle isn't done yet then you cover the edges with that to protect them while the inside keeps baking. They're kind of weird looking because they're made to fit over most sizes and shapes of baking dishes. Round, square or rectangular, big (you can use both) or small. Most commonly used when making pies, which is probably why you got the measuring cups, rolling pin, pie tin/dish and the pie cookbook! I think Sue is giving you a TINY HINT at what your next "Not A Cooking Show" should be about, lol. Though I'm not sure mini pies goes with a 9 inch pie tin. Maybe the mini pies cookbook was for Recky and the baking dish and everything else for Carol. 😂
    Edit 3: The set of mats is awesome. The biggest one is for pie crusts to go with the theme! If you need a 9 inch pie base or 9 inch pice crust, the measurements on that should help you out. The smaller ones probably have measurements for the mini pies, cookies, biscuits and other things. Plus you can place them on top of a sheet pan and bake right on them. Very nice gift! 😍👍
    Well, that was fun! I hope you enjoy your gift! 😁👍

    • @ChibiChula
      @ChibiChula 11 месяцев назад

      @@reckyNcarol Just glad I could help! 🤗 Those edge covers are going to come in handy with the type of pie tin you were sent. You'll notice that the sides slope so it's deeper in the middle. If you don't use the covers with those type of dishes your pie edges will burn to a crisp by the time the inside fully cooks so they're definitely needed. There are different kinds of pie pans but that kind is very popular because it lets you pack the pie with filling and, as you've noticed, America likes things packed with flavor! 😂👍

    Definitely keep the US Amazon wishlist. Amazon might not be able to ship things to you directly but there's nothing stopping us from shipping you what you'd love to have. Those baking mats are awesome. You can use the one with the 8 rounds for cookies, biscuits or even as a measure for making the dough for those mini pies from that great cookbook for sure. The one with the smaller circles is a guide for making the right size macarons but again you can use that for drop cookies so that they're the same size.

    I think the odd looking red things are to put around your pie crust so it doesn't burn when you make a pie. I haven't seen one like that, usually they are thin metal rings u just set over the top of ur pie dish after u make ur pie. This one looks like it will be able to go in different shapes. I think the air freshener might have melted a little during shipping. Hilarious though😆

    Amazing gifts/package Sue!! That said, boo to Alabama lol. Wait, AUBURN TOO??? Arch rivals in one package (both are universities in Alabama and are huge competitors)! I have no idea what those red things are. I was thinking a cat toy or something. Sue that is such a cool package! You guys are awesome! Thank you for the video!

      Well it's a good thing Sue didn't send Recky an Alabama t-shirt for EACH national championship, huh! He could go WEEKS and not wear the same shirt twice!
      ROLL TIDE ROLL 🐘!
      And I only liked your comment because like you, I love to watch their reactions to the gifts. And watching them cook is fun too!

    💙🇺🇲 Yep, the red silicon is used when baking pies to help keep the dough edges of the pie crust from burning before the pie has finished cooking. Put it on maybe halfway through the cooking process before the pie is totally cooked. Just fit the silicon on top of the edges of the pie crust and if there is too much silicon you could use the scissors to shorten them. 🙏☮🙏

      @reckyNcarol A lady who came from Romania had one. She brought it when she moved to the US. That was the first I had seen one like that. Now, they are more common here.
      I just looked on the internet. The style is favored by French baking chefs.

    The restrictions on shipping is not do to expense, you're country will not allow the item. That's why Amazon Sweden doesn't have anything is because that's what they'll allow to come in to the country. It's like that in a lot of countries because they only want you to buy native made/produced items. Or because they don't want you to eat that ingredient, which is why American food products won't taste the same as the exact same item in another country. Here we call it a nanny state.

    I missed my cat, had to put it down when it got the coronavirus19, he was having seizures, they wanted $3,000. to try to save it with no guarantees. Went to the hospital last night for a near heart attack or stroke, shhh I'm supposed to be in the hospital. Well I wish everyone out there the very best and full of happiness. God Bless and take care. P.S. love your videos. Recky better be careful smelling things, I heard people getting a package from someone or some company that says Smell my Thong. Yeah nasty but I thought it would be a laugh, again take care.❤
