to be fair, thsts on US.
WE the parents HAVE to include ourselves into the schools and tell them to do this. MAKE them.
But too many parents quickly bow their heads or don't ecen bother. they use schools as daycare.
check this, I moved to a little town about4yrs ago...the middle school had NO outside time. ZERO. NONE. crazy. I, myself, have. NEVER heard of a thing.
the classes were all about getting kids caught up and all that. no kids ever left behind. kid makes a bad grade? try again. 3, 4,5, 10x before reports come out? fine. reports came out and they're still behind? give them a chance to make it up....focus on tests, don't worry about actually learning the stuff...crazy.
Yet they wanted to put kids in ISS por OSS or some list because the kids act out.
Rambunctious in class and all that.
I sent a VERY detailed and concerned email to the principal, asset principal, and teachers and just from MY email, the school thst apparently had no recess for 4yrs before my kid got there, they now have that. They have a couple more extra curriculums that I suggested and many kids are doing better.
that's ONE email.
imagine if ALL parents wanted to change something in a place that needed more change?

When the lady in pink was announced ALL FOUR supporters gave her a roaring standing smattering of claps.
The superintendent was the scapegoat unfortunately but I feel like they should have came down on the board as well because they voted not to fix these schools. This is wrong on many levels.
Your inability to educate the children of your county is not a problem to be solved by an administrative change. The education of your children begins in YOUR HOME. If you think you have "challenges" in your school district I cannot imagine the "challenges" you fail to overcome in your home.
