no. at my shop we have a tempering line once temper 10mm and it's off but by like an 1/8 because ministry standard is 1/16 so anyways the customer is here and we send it on the polisher it was high risk the polsieher was wearing some good ppe but I've seen prices explode I've seen peices give leanious
So i think what hes trying to say is you can shave off a little on the edges of tempered glass where it has the least tension. Technically you can untemper glass but good luck getting your manufacturer to bother.
