Dima, I just watched Alex Wild stop at your dugout cabin. He did some nice favors for you while he stayed there. This video was so pleasant and calming for the soul. And of course I really enjoy watching you cook a great hearty meal. Thank you my friend for the rest you offer all of your viewers.
Aspetto sempre un nuovo video , e sono sempre belli , e ben fatti , alcuni dei video vecchi li riguardo spesso , mi piace vedere come costruisci case 👍👍👍👍🇮🇹
A little bit of info on something I always carry with me,is three nylon straps used in the steel industry for lifting. They are lightweight, roll tightly and are very useful for hauling logs in the bush. Use one to cinch several logs together, second as a towline, third is crossed and put over your shoulders to make a harness. Much less work than carrying logs, less strain and keeps your hands free if you are in hilly terrain,so you can use handholds.
Love watching all of your videos. Being in the outdoors is wonderful and you seem to enjoy it. Waiting for the next one!!! Libby Thomasson South Carolina USA
Absolutely beautiful scenery...outstanding! You looked as though you were enjoying this, as you should. The music is perfect, so calming and peaceful. You certainly know your stuff, that's for sure. I commend you on a job well done! 🪓🪵🌲🪚🔥🗡🔦🪚👏👍
Dima MY FRIEND USE THE CARRYING THING THAT YOU PULL TO KEEP THINGS IN IT FOR YOU ALSO AND THE SNOWSHOES SO YOU DON'T LAY ON THE GROUND AND GET COLDER!!!
You can make a guard for your bowsaw from a scrap of plywood. Cut an inner middle ply away on a table saw deep enough to cover the blade. Trim the guard to fit the saw blade. Hold the guard in place with some spring steel paper clips of appropriate size. Protects both your blade and equipment. I have also made a guard out of vinyl siding. I like your video but how often will you have that much snow (I live in the snow capital of the NE and some years we get a lot of snow but it doesn't build up) and you won't often have enough dead wood for a framework. In NYS Adirondacks, the wood has to be dead and down before cutting. Other places may have restrictions. A hot tent would be quicker and just as protective providing you have a packable stove.
One of the things I really enjoyed today was the SNOW! We are 98 Fahrenheit here in Tucson, Arizona, USA today! So thank you for the refreshingly cool video!
A compost windrow never freezes inside. Internal compost steams when exposed in freezing conditions. Just grass clippings and leaf litter mixed and heaped up.
Never get too cold in that shelter, even without the stove, which was masterfully handled, but never get super-warm, even with the stove. In your dugouts, with the stove going, it's shirtsleeve temperature.
I remember having to do something very similar to this in girl scouts, 2 of the other girls that I shared the tent with after it was finished had to build our own tent out of a similar idea, in the cold like this for a badge, it was very fun, but it sure was cold.🥶
This is all great and all just 2 questions: 1: why do you use the sharp side of your knife on a fero rod? Wouldn't that dull the crap out of it? And question 2: doesn't it worry you when you stick your entire glove into a flame? I surmise There are reasons most people build/maintain fires without gloves on. even if they have to take them off and put them back on. I understand its cold, but you could bring a welding glove oven mit ext. If its so cold 5 minutes gives you frost bite.
It is 105 right now where I live. Watching this actually brought the temperature down. Well, at least in my mind.😄 Thanks for the COOL snowy alpine video! 🤗
nice video 👍 i like it

好冷的地方…!但…很美…!白雪皚皚…!
Hola Dima, me da mucho gusto verte. Saludos desde México.
Nice work but I'd rather just hear nature sounds rather than music.
Hear someone narrating this and talking about what they're doing / feeling. Sucks
It’s because he has to edit
I really want to try these adventures. But my mattress at home is very sweet and my thermostat works great.
😄😁
🥰 estoy impresionada con sus videos ,un abrazo fuerte desde mi país chile 🇨🇱 bendiciones

I like to watch this video in my safe and warm house😂
I like the way you're practical, rather than Puritanical.
Giusto un paio d'ore!!!😂😂
Do you sharpen the blade of the axe frequently?
It looks pretty tedious, lugging all the wood through the deep snow, the only thing that helps is a hot fire and something delicious to eat 👌🌲🔥🌲👌
It is 105 right now where I live. Watching this actually brought the temperature down. Well, at least in my mind.😄 Thanks for the COOL snowy alpine video! 🤗
wow! after all of that work, will it stand for you to use again?
No
Mir ist es kalt nur vom zuschauen
