As a Pistons fan who watches them religiously and as a hardcore NBA fan, I can confidently say that this is 100% false. Nobody was hyping him up as “the next great pg”. Our own fan base was even lobbying for the organization to take Haliburton that year. Nobody really knew anything about the kid except for scouts that went overseas. So what I’m going to need you to do is stop speaking on topics you know absolutely nothing about.

You don't need franchise players to be competitive and give the opposing team a run for their money.

Honestly I disagree. We have talent, like good enough talent that we should look like a team who’s actually competing. Tbh, I blame the coaching staff, because none of the players look like they enjoy sharing the court with each other, there’s clearly no chemistry at all, and the team chemistry honestly looks to have gotten worse as time has gone on. We hardly run sets, our young guys make the same mistakes as if they don’t spend any time in the film room, and there’s clearly no drive to win. Usually when there’s chemistry issues and effort issues across the board as a team, the coach is the problem. It reminds me of when we had Moe Cheeks and the players literally ran him out of Detroit. I mean Garza played really well when guys were out, and once the team came back he’s been delegated to riding the bench again, and when he does touch the floor he isn’t integrated into the offense at all. Cade clearly doesn’t like sharing the court with Hayes anymore and Hayes clearly doesn’t want to be on the team. Bey looks like he’s completely playing by himself ignoring the fact that there are 4 other guys on the court, and it’s the same for Diallo when he touches the floor. Stewart is just there and is honestly kind of invisible every time he’s on the floor. Like Casey has to go, because everything about him as a coach is terrible, and he’s single handedly killing our rebuild.
