My copy arrived just in time to play at a game night this past weekend, and I was so pleased! Lots of fun, plays lots of people without down time. We laughed a lot and had a great time pulling for our horses. 👍
One of the few complaints I have with the game is minor, but I wish the 8 sided color die was a bit bigger...sometimes its not easy to see the number and color across the table.
Looking forward to playing this. We have a large game group always good to have another game to play with the whole group. Games that work well at 7 or 8 are rare.
Target is stocking it now, both online and in stores. Saw it in store today, otherwise would not have known about it for a good while. Looks very intriguing. $30 price tag.
Absolutely not. They are different enough for me to warrant owning both. Camel Up works best at 6-7 players, Long Shot is best at 3. Also, my 7-11 year old neices and nephews have really enjoyed Camel Up and Long Shot doesn't have the table presence, humour and easability as Camel Up.
Played my first (solo) game of this today and it is terrific. I’m almost 100% solo in my board gaming but I might just try to scrape together a few friends because I can see this being an amazing party game for medium-level gamers.
Thanks for the review, Zee. This game has been hard to find but I just picked up an exclusive Barnes and Noble bookstore edition. Don’t know what the difference is between this and the regular edition. Looks like a super fun game! Can’t wait to try it out.
Played it solo, have won a lot more than I have lost but super fun time. I'm now giving 2 starting cards to the bot. If that doesn't help, maybe 1 and then roll for a horse and it's theirs.
Now to work out how to get this game in the UK without paying huge shipping costs by ordering it from America… Hopefully some local shops will get some copies.
Can’t be far off arriving here. I grew up across the road from Flemington Racecourse, home of the Melbourne Cup, super excited to have a horse racing game in the collection.
My friend and I have been playing this game recently. I do like the game, however I can't help but compare it to Camel Up (2nd edition). I enjoy the betting in this game more. However, I enjoy the rolling of Camel Up better.
Looks pretty good. However I dont like dry erase marker games. As my markers dry out within a year.... better they supply us with like 100+ printed paper sheets
@@viktorkm I think part of the reason is that you also mark who gets those secondary movements (so you'd need duplicates of the horse cards), and your cash and bets are often changing, so you'd need to either keep crossing them out, or erasing them.
@@meathir4921 - Well, I use my Roxley Iron Clays for Monopoly, Ticket to Ride, Dinogenics, etc. I guess that I'm not allowed to do that either. My bad.

This just came in the mail for me, glad to hear Zee really likes it! Can't wait to get it to the table.
Wow. Would not have expected that glowing of a review. Nice.

Got my copy today and knocked out two plays. It’s very good. The hype is warranted.

This is a Camel Up killer for me….. both have a high player count and this has a lot more things to think about on your turn.
Even more so if they were camel racing ;)

I would always rather play long shot as well. We're keeping our Camel Up because my kids prefer that one currently. 😁

Should be getting this very soon from my Kickstarter pledge, excited!
We played this 3 times yesterday. It's great and deserves the hype. 😁
Mine comes in tomorrow and now cant wait to give it a try even more! Thanks Zee!
Thanks for the review. Blindly backed on KS and so I’m relieved Zee likes it so well. Can’t wait to play.
Merci, it made me learn a new word, "uproarious". Funny enough coming from a game with skinny dudes on horses! :)
Thanks, Zee. 🇺🇸

Buy from Zatu Games! They’re the best board game shop in the UK. They have it in stock, I just got my copy.
if i can find this on amazon when it comes out i'll grab a copy.
This seems to do to the original Long Shot what The Cure did to Pandemic. It captures all the best parts in a shorter faster pace.
Great review!
looks like my biggest problem with this one is fed ex. slowest shipping ever🐢
I get my copy within the week. I knew this would be a hit the day I backed it.
Great review. I hope I get a chance to try it. However, Zee's beard is the star of this review.

Does the winner just come down to who bought the winning horse?
This feels like DownForce scratches the same itch. How much do you feel it stands out from it?
Is this the first game that Zee has reviewed with all +'s?
No
It's a great game
Whoa. Did you guys change the camera frame rates. What's happening here?
Where's the best place to get this now?
I am scared of the middle ape :(

Funny, I usually see people saying the opposite… you can buy new pens, you know.
@@JorWat25 Yeah I guess. Going to get the game non the less

Where and when will you be able to buy this game? Thanks.
It was on Kickstarter, you can pre-order it online at Miniature Market for $20 (Plus shipping.) but you won't get Kickstarter exclusive stuff.
There are still copies in the late pledge on the game’s KS page. Just ordered mine!
@@betterthanflapjacks Miniature Market says pre-order but it doesn't give an estimate for delivery. How long do you think it will be?

Barnes & Noble
This game feels like it needs some poker chips or something.
I totally added poker chips to my original Longshot game.
Why? What’s the point of having poker chips for a game where you only lose or gain money, and don’t move it between players or locations at all?
@@meathir4921 - Have you heard about Las Vegas?
@@EfrainRiveraJunior People don’t bet on horses with poker chips, so no, it’s not thematic either, if that’s what you’re saying.

Noooooooo! I didn't back it. Why is it good? WHY!?!
