I know a little about roofing, my father was a roofer most of his life so he tought me a little but not enough about tiles and how to install. Thanks to you and your crew for sharing your understanding and knowledge on how to do this, I almost gave up but then I watched your video and it gave me a new look into tiling, thank you so much because of you my mom can afford to get a new roof put on. Without the cost of labor we can afford to buy material and I'm going to do the work and she can have a nice house that doesn't leak water all over us 🙂 thank you again for sharing the knowledge of all the hard work and years time you've put into your trade. Eric, Im not a roofer, but been watching how my roofers are installing the tiles, and want to make sure it OK to cut the tile while it is laying on the roof.. It looks like it is normal practice.

I worked with my dad roofing tiles since I was 14 with hammer only. I probably couldn't beat the guy using the gun but I could beat him at laying tiles 😀. Anyways much respect to you and your team. Roofing its a tough job. esas lineas del valley estan chingonas. saludos compa desde California
When I did roofing we never used a nail gun to nail the roofs the tiles have more chances of cracking in the future

Can you apply silicone roof sealant before installing the tiles (underneath)?
Great video Eric. One question, do the exposed nails on a tile roof need to be sealed/caulked.
The only reason I watched this video is because I seen these kinds of tiles on a job the other day and I was curious as to how they were layed and secured. You did a great job explaining how they go.

is the valley leaves like that relying on metal with 1cm bends?
What about penetrations,are they rely on felt paper or you add some cocking on the top of tile around them ?

Currently installing eagle S tile,, this order of tile has the nail holes filled ,, when the guys nail with gun to get through concreted nail hole it breaks tile,, when they back the pressure out the nail bounces back & messes up the row of nails in the gun,, Any suggestions other than drilling out all nail holes,, Seams on this one we may just have to hand bang it as the drilling of the nail holes will eat at the time that would've saved using the framing nailers,, Thank you for your videos!

battens is not a tile accessory , it's something required by the building code when the roof is steeper than 6/12, this roof was 4/12, does not required wood battens sir .
