I'm a vfx artist...and I 100% stand with the writers. I also hope one day, my industry can rise above the abuse we receive and get protection as well, since I believe now more than ever we are also artists who are essential to the creative process. 😢

U wanna compare ur work load to that of a writer? Isn't ur job scope way more complex than just cmg up with words? Why wud u support them? The way I see it, being a writer is not a full-time job. Every writer expecting to be like J.K. Rowling being set for life reeks of entitlement. There are so many other more taxing jobs (like urs) that are gig-by-gig basis. Ppl in those occupations simply find a day-job or another part-time job to support themselves.

Margot Robie doesn't look like The Girl Next Door, she looks like a Supermodel. This is why I think she could be a detriment to being Sue Storm. If she wasn't already in the MCU, I would have cast Florence Pugh because while gorgeous, she has more of an adorable wholesome-ness. That I could see being more of the thing Reed Richards falling in love with rather than simply she's got perfect jawline and teeth.

As far as I remember it, it was less that people were upset that Halle Berry was cast as Storm, but more that they were upset that Angela Bassett wasn't cast as Storm. I think we were all hopeful for Halle in spite of that, but then Storm was given barely anything to do and when she did get lines they were clunkers. Halle was wasted in the role, and the sequels tried to fix it but missed the mark. It was too little too late.

New production companies will rise that will only produce human content. They will rise outside of the US, taking more of the cake than Hollywood is willing to share. The quality of the work produced will put companies that are now on top out of business. AI as a brand can not compete with human. Humans are the consumers, and humans are not interested in consuming AI created content to the extent these companies want to produce it. The Hollywood machine will just gum its gears again like it did when it tried to switch to streaming.
