Taiwan has got SO much good vegetarian food (and a beautiful city to look at too!) I really enjoyed my time exploring in Taipei, Jioufen and Houtong Cat Village :) So I hope you enjoy this very long, very intense edit of my time in Taipei with Kraig.

Recommend "fruitful food" next time you in Taiwan, it’s all full vegetarian all you can eat buffet.
Ahhh, Taiwan. World's best kept secret. Soooo underrated. Been there 3 times now, but can never stay more than a couple of weeks due to the food coma I end up in lol! I still remember the funny convo I had on my 1st visit in 2008 right before the Beijing Olympics with a guy running a hole in the wall breakfast place next to the Taoyuan train station where I was staying. Neither of us spoke much of each others language but he asked me where I was from & I said 'Audalia' (Chinese for Australia). He suddenly lights up & says "Ohhhh.....Australia= swimming, China= diving, Taiwan= eating!!" Beautiful memories
china shits on taiwan's food lmao, taiwan is just a portion of chinese cuisine
@@rodolfo7077 if you call everything spicy, greasy and heavy good food, that would be Chinese food. Taiwanese food has some influences from Japanese food, therefore it's a lot lighter. I would say Taiwanese food is sort of in between Japanese and Chinese food.
@@hitokiri92 Not really re: Chinese food, since there are so many varieties. For example, I don't think Cantonese cuisine is that spicy, greasy or heavy.
Chinese say audalia, Taiwanese generally say auzhou
Agree with Taiwan being the world's best kept secret. Can never get enough. I suggest intermittent fasting to avoid the food coma (sticking to 2 meals a day)
Taiwan is definitely a hidden gem of Asia. The most underrated county in Asia. It’s very safe. People are kind and friendly as well. The east coast and KenTing are must-visit. Never get tired of visiting Taiwan.
Thank you for loving my country 🥺
題外話你們真的拍攝很強,喜歡你們的拍攝手法,讓我想到這個 ruclips.net/video/AhAJ6J01R7w/видео.html
Taiwan is so underrated. Can’t wait to see your videos!
Went to Taiwan in 2020 for about 2 weeks during my study year abroad in Japan. Had a fantastic time there not only in Taipei but also out in Taiwan's wild mountain ranges. Taiwan is wonderful. It was very nostalgic to revisit the place through your travel vlog.
Wow! I grew up in Taiwan. I'm getting goosebumps seeing it again through your lens. Really cool to see you collab with Kraig too!
Your vlog really hit me. Missing Taiwan. ❤️🇹🇼 Great job with the video btw. Just want to watch it again and again. Cant imagine reminiscing Taiwan over and over again. 🤣 Thank you
Oh amazing I’m going to Taipei and Kaohsiung in a few weeks! Looking forward to seeing Taiwan again! thanks Hannah!
I absolutely love your work Hannah. It’s incredible to see you in action plus seeing you travel the world makes me want to travel more too. Thanks for another great video ❤
Taipei is facinating too! Damn!
I said it before and I will say it again. If travel was free, i'd never return home. I'd love to see the world.
Never watch travel videos just for fun typically. But you get some of the most gorgeous shots. Not only stunning views of the land and nature, but also incredibly cinematic shots of people living their lives. It's very impressive
Im so happy finally you came to the paradise of vegetarian, hiker, RUclipsr... the country of friendliest people in the world. Im sure you have studied almost everything about us before you came. you will be amazed how Taiwan so incredibly enjoyable. so many foreigners like you just a visit at first then their love for Taiwan was sealed for eternity.😁
A Taiwanese currently live in NZ, your fan for years, love your videos😊
Been following you for a long time, thanks for showing the beauty of Taiwan.
As a Taiwanese, really appreciate what you've done. Hope you have a wonderful trip in Taiwan.
Welcome back whenever you would like to!
I need to visit Taipei! Ooh the cat village and the mountain views! Amazing footage as always Hannah, and excellent foodie tour!
The drone shots of the Joufeng mountains are absolutely stunning! I’ve been there countless times all my life and never know they look that pretty from above. Also glad to see you enjoyed Taiwan!
I personally loved Taiwan when I visited in 2019. It really surprised me in many ways but exploring the different (food) markets was one of my favorite things. The language was a barrier but people were always willing to help.
Beautiful video, beautiful shots. Taiwan is an amazing an often underrated country, I have been there in 2019 and can't wait to be back soon ❤
TAIWAN I MISS YOU SO MUCH!!! AHH WAX APPLES 🥺🥺🥺 i want those taiwan beer decorations so much aaaa and also that little kitty in the basket's meow OMG! the footage you got in the mountains BRO
"i don't know what this is but it's going in" yasss
taipei 101 looks so good when you're just walking around and see it lurking/peeking behind other buildings - and oh man looks so good from song shan, i really need to do that hike one day, have no idea why i haven't done it yet
don't mind me just live-reacting to everything in this video but i really loved this one so much (it is my parents' home country so my bias comes out hehe) thank you so much hannah! would love to see you explore more of the taiwanese countryside bc what you showed here from your road trip looks INSANE!
I loved Taipei and I loved eating in Taipei, so this will be painful to watch :D
By the way, that ice cream is awesome!
The Taiwan videos are starting !!!!!!!! 👏🏻 🇹🇼
They are! The other two won’t be out till January though.
@@CurrentlyHannah why? I have been looking forward for them.
When one door closes, another will open. Good job👍👍👍👍
Been to Taiwan twice but didn't see all that. Thanks for letting me see it thru your lens!!! Thanks!!!!
I miss Taiwan so much, great video and hope to be there sometime soon.
Watch out everyone for scammers, like the fake Hannah sending me a message
man i want to go to taiwan so bad its so beautiful and the food looks absolutely amazing
Lots of good vegetarian restaurants in Taipei because of Buddhism. I followed the monks to where they go from a local temple at dinner time. It was a small place on Be’an Road between Martyr’s Shrine and Carrefour/Miramar Ferris Wheel, but very close to the MRT station in Dahzi.
Its always so refreshing to see your favorite creators collab and seemingly so random! Really really wholesome!
Haha it felt very wholesome!
@@CurrentlyHannah I watch Kraigs channel to relax before sleeping and yours because Im obsessed with Japan and you showcase it so beautifully! I was pleasantly surprised to see you two together ❤
Thank you for using your perspective to lead me to re-recognize the street scenes in Taiwan that I have long been accustomed to. Through your lens, even people walking on the street, small animals, cars, and a ray of autumn sunshine shining from the sky are all So warm and beautiful!💘🥰😘
Thanks for the exquisite visuals throughout the video! They are healing for the sore eyes
Thanks Hannah for showing my city so well. Taipei is a real hidden gem!
legeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeend
Love this ❤
Thanks for the donation! ❤ You’re very welcome!
The “jujube” is actually wax apple or 蓮霧! jujube are red dates otherwise known as 紅棗 im glad u enjoyed the food in Taiwan!!! ^ - ^
You've captured Taiwan beautifully. Welcome to Taiwan!
Yesss Taiwan ❤️, still am craving all the vegan food I ate when I lived there
Literally the moment you filmed yourself while eating the mango ice and you both started talking about having to document what you do with so many different mediums and angles I couldn't stop nodding. I feel you so much hahaha. Your shots are so dang beautiful Hannah! 🥲💫
Fantastic film that truly captures the essence of incredible Taiwan. Thanks!
yummm Taiwan is now on the list!!
Oh you’ve never been?? You’d love it!
You guys have the most underrated content on RUclips. You should have millions of subscribers
Thank you for making these videos, as a person who can't travel much and could not safely try new foods, I can live out my inner explorer vicariously through these
Been fully waiting on this! Can't wait to see more Taiwan videos!
Thank you for sharing this experience with us, Hannah. I really enjoyed it 🐱
This is so cool, the part where you suddenly see 101, that's like minutes from where I've lived for 15 years before I left Taiwan(before 101 was built too, I've been back since a few times, I think I missed there more since the pandemics started). Really cool to see the sceneries captured by a RUclipsr I followed...
Japan wont let her in.
Hannah: "Fine, I'll ask the lovely neighbors then."
I love this. I hope you get to see more of Asia and that you love every second of it.
Taiwan’s beautiful Buddhist culture makes vegetarian food a priority and it’s fabulous!
Taiwan has beautiful coasts and majestic mountains, as well as a wealth of night market snacks and delicacies from all over the world. Taiwanese are warm and hospitable. Worth your visit.
It finally happened! What a great collab, hopefully you guys can meet up again sometime in the future, but can't wait for the hiking videos! And I honestly wouldn't mind more food tours haha, I can't even comprehend having Din Tai Fung *in* Taiwan... thanks for bringing us along! Glad you made it back to Japan as well, take care.
first time watching your video. Subscribed. Love Taiwan. Amazing place. Underrated.
Taiwanese fan here, of both Hannah and Kraig! Been following both of you guys for a long time. Glad that you enjoyed your stay. Thumbs up for your willingness to try stinky tofu. There are deep fried and grilled versions of it which might be a bit more acceptable to a western taste just so you know ;) Looking forward to the hiking videos!
Yay! So nice to see you so happy again, Hannah!
Great video Hannah! Would love to see you tour other Asian countries like Vietnam and Thailand. Your videos are like a beautiful travelog montage. Awesome editing and vibe. I’m sure you’ll be back to Japan one day but maybe life is telling you that you shouldn’t limit yourself to just Japan. There is so much for you to see and do throughout Asia. And we love the experience through your eyes. Long time subscriber who missed your Japan videos. Simply brilliant don’t you stop!
Welcome to Taiwan! Enjoy your stay for the food and nature!
The team up I've been waiting for! Great video as always Hannah! :)
Thanks for visiting and promoting Taiwan ❤
I’m always so happy to see a new video from you appear 😊 beautiful, informative and very human. Your hard work makes my day haha
Thank you for the wonderful video!😆 I saw your vlog for the first time. I also took a Taiwanese vlog on my channel, and your way of shooting was very helpful. I will be watching all your other videos!
Bell fruit is my favorite fruit. I missed it the most out of everything in Taiwan.
Still the sensei of drone shooting... That section of crepuscular atmospheric footage from Elephant Mountain was so good, really looking forward to the hiking part of the trip 🙏
We had perfect conditions!
I love your editing style!!!! ❤
I don’t see a lot of content from Taiwan these days so this is really cool to see! Looking forward to the vids 😁👊
Well done. I do love your video in a different direction to shoot a building or mountain even looks up from the ground or look down from the drone. So Gorgeous.
Loved this video so much, was nice to see you again. Sending warmth and love to you Hannah ❤️
Welcome to Taiwan. Am very glad Taiwan offers you a little bit of safe harbor. Please visit anytime you want, whenever you need.
Such a wonderful vibe from you, thanks for spreading!

Your videos are CHEF KISS! While watchng your videos I feel like I'm next to you traveling all these amazing places 😍 Much love from Italy!
You went to Taiwan! There seems to be a lot of delicious food, so please have a good time. Taiwanese people are very kind. Please visit Japan again.
So Good to see you back Hannah!!!
Lovely video!! Nice use of music once again. I also loved that cheeky transition to the third time at the scooters!
Taipei is so generous with the boba in fruit juice teas or milk teas compared to the U.S. milk teas! Wow….I want to get boba milk tea in Taipei now! Haha!
I’m missing Taiwan soooooo much!
Loved your video/just discovered your channel. Thanks for sharing Taiwan with your viewers.
"Many smells many many smells...."lol😂 such a polite way to describe the old old traditional steet ie market! Thank you for making my home town so beautiful!! You certainly done your homework by visiting many places only locals would visit in Taipei. Oh yeah tasting Papaya Flavor Snow Flake Shaved Ice and Ding Tai Fung😊 Love your video!
Lovely to see you again Hannah. A great video which I really enjoyed. I have been hanging out for a new post from you. Thanks for the efforts and creativity you share with us.
your videos are relaxing. I miss Taiwan from Jpn.
Yay! Thank you for sharing the beauty of our country
Such a impressive and different point of view the video you shot. Looking forward the next video of your journey in Taiwan.
wow. I started watch your video about Japan. Can’t believe you are visiting my home country. Have a good time in Taiwan.
Amazing video! And btw you were doing the wrap perfectly!
Love your videos hannah. The videos are great! I feel your videos capture the mundane, everyday things so well, making me feel like things are better enjoyed and observed at a slower pace. Sorry to hear at the end of your video that things have been rough. Wish you a better new year!
Great video , I miss Taiwan too !
Hi Hannah! Been watching all of your Japan videos and got inspired it! Amazing videos always! 👍👍👍Hope everything is good and hope you can come back Japan soon! Cheers!
Good to see you back
Great video, cool seeing Kraig collaboration 😎
Hey! I like you both. Kraig Adam is one who inspired me to hike. So many foods, absolutely making me starving to watch this video.
Love the way you edit your travel videos, especially this one (my home country)! 💯❣
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but there is actually a vegetarian restaurant in one the shops that line the street that the Ningxia Night market is held in. The name of it is called "寧夏素食小館". I haven't actually eaten there but it seems to have some customers every time I was in the area. Anyways, the menu and food at Yang Shin looked amazing and was a good showcase of how good the vegetarian food in Taiwan can be. There are a lot of vegetarians in Taiwan so it's a big market that many business do well to cater for. As always, Thanks for the great video.
I love everything about your experience in my home country. Makes me miss it so much. I appreciate that you tried the stinky tofu. It's not for me either, hah.
Nice to see u back on a better note!!!
Thanks for the memories of Taiwan. You have to go back in Spring and go to Alishan.
Japan transplanted including narrow gauge railway. Oolong Cha is fantastic… thanks again, Johno
Oh yeah Alishan was on my list too!
@@CurrentlyHannah … good to see you rebounding well. Enjoy life…
miss the time you were in Taiwan!! ❤
Thank you so much for all of your help! It felt impossible without you haha
You should have 柯柯take you on one of her crazy overnight camping trips!
Welcome to Taiwan ^^
and totally agree with your thoughts in this vid, that I do have some feelings that I can do many stuffs, seeing every views, and working late before 30, but now prefer chilling in the travel, looking one or two spots in a day, walking slowly and looking deeply, haha, anyway, I'm so grateful that you share your travel recording and thoughts with us in Taiwan, and welcome again ^^
just discovered this channel. Two videos in and I'm happy I did. Keep up the good work. 😁
Fantastic video! I would never have expected to see Kraig in a video of yours haha
As always, lovely video. Thank you!
Welcome to Taiwan, Hannah. Enjoy your trip.
It's really nice film you took that so refreshing even i was Taiwanese. The view of stree, mountain...all the, thanks for sharing.
很喜歡妳的拍攝手法長短鏡的運用👍
不論場景、音樂⋯⋯都很棒😊
歡迎來到台灣🇹🇼
期待妳下一個旅程❤
Love the whole video but the drone shots @10:00 were so so good! 🤯
We had perfect drone conditions!
非常感謝,把台灣山區拍的如此美麗🙏
The blackout transition RIGHT ON THE MFKIN BEAT at 12:10 is so satisfying dude the TIMING-
😂 THANK YOU! I was so happy with how well that worked lol
@@CurrentlyHannah hahaha you should be incredibly proud because that shit was crispy
I think you nailed the fake peking duck wrapping btw - no worries there! Everyone just basically smushes all that stuff inside anyway. Really awesome that they gave you that fried crunchy thing (tofu skin perhaps?) to mimic the crunchiness of the duck skin. My wife is a vegetarian who misses out on a bunch of food like that and that place looks awesome.
