well if we assume the show lasted 2 years according to passage of time in the show, and we know that that stoplight appears only in the last episode of the cartoon, well he hid like that for 2+ story years

Epic design, unique powers (switching logo ability, cyberkey in each mode has different functions : stealth in aircraft mode and physical weapon in robot mode), and tragic backstory. If I remember correctly, Sideswipe backstory is that he came from a planet destroyed in the old war (Primus vs Unicron, which now is a blackhole), he lived in the remain of his planet all alone, and the reason he helped Decepticon the most is that so he can take revenge to Unicron, by stealing the power crown. He's a transformer but from different planet, not Cybertron.
If that was his backstory in Galaxy Force, then sure. In Transformers Cybertron, however, he wasn’t the only survivor. There were also the Cybertron versions of Soundwave and Laserbeak. And according to the former (if _I_ recall correctly), Sideways and Soundwave’s home planet was in the superweapon business. One day they made a weapon too powerful and, as Soundwave succinctly put it, ‘they pulled their own trigger’.
I like how relevant Starscream was in this series from autobot in Armada to a sacrifice to Engergon being resurrected to a whole third party villain in par with Megatron in Cybertron
I nearly shit my pants when the traffic light in the middle of the desert AKA signal lancer transformed I am delighted that they actually spent the extra budget to give him a robot mode
@@theone9132 It's honestly a mixed bag regarding character accuracy to the toys, but I do think the toy model files were used for the characters in the show, as well, but only as a base. Some characters are a perfect one-to-one to their toy counterparts, but then you have outliers like Override, for example. Her transformation is almost exactly the same, but her robot mode is completely different from the toy (in that it actually looks good). Ransack is another example where he transforms exactly like the toy, but his parts are all modeled differently to make him look more dynamic. In short, yeah, the original models for the toys were definitely used, but I also think they were heavily edited in many cases, as well to the point the show models for some are actually superior to the toys themselves.
