- Carolina trip Part 5
Stopped and fished a new creek on a greenway i found on Alltrails app. Started off very slow but started getting interesting after i passed a water treatment plant, the water coming into the creek was actually clean and oxygenated giving it that foamy look. The Day turned into a great fishing trip with some really nice catches.

When I was in the USMC at Camp Lejeune went to a country church with some guys that lived locally. Man, service lasted all day and we had such a great meal afterward.
John the fishermen knows how to read the water .
Tight lines and safe travels .
You got creek fishing figured out always seem to find a good bass in every creek I like exploring creeks to have learned things from you about fishing creeks
Love John's commentary- "I could catch bigger fish or I could catch smaller fish", I could catch more fish or I could catch less fish". I always enjoy John's homespun way of talking.
Nice..I enjoy the random fishing..never know what your gonna catch...nice creek bass...some nice bluegills..good day..great video..had fun..thanks..
Its always fun to see what's in these small creeks. Pretty nice bass.
THERES ONE GUY WHO MADE A VIDEO OF CREEK FISHING FOR 2 INCH FISH. GOOD SHOWING ON THAT BASS !!!! THERES ALSO LARGE PERCH, SUNFISH, CATFISH, SHINERS, CHUBS , CRAWFISH, AND WATER MOCCASINS. AT LEAST IN MY GEORGIA CREEK OFF DALLAS MILL RD , TROUP COUNTY.
Can't wait to see the one from south Carolina my home state very small rural town maybe 16thousad!!! I truly enjoy your videos thank you!!!
All those people just walking on the trail and not fishing were really missing out.😂 Nice Video
Guess you never know what’s in a crick until you try it. Nice job finding the fish and another great video !
Good to see John....your where close to me ....enjoyed the creek lots of bass nice.......
I watch all your videos to hold me over until it warms up and I can finally start fishing! So keep all the great creek fishing videos coming bro love them all! They are the best on RUclips!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
In my part of the country, all there is in the nearest creek is a few lizards, maybe a roadrunner...and lots of very dry sand. So, I appreciate very much your fishing expeditions. Please keep it up. SoSoCal
You got fish on the brain ,having fun traveling the country😎👍god bless
Really slaying those panfish. There's a creek by where I grew up that has that detergent smell. Full of creek chubs, some sunfish, the odd trout and carp that washes out of the main lake.
So happy when I see the rod bending 🤗 therapy.
I know this spot! Just moved here a little under a year ago and this is my favorite Creek to fish! 🍻
Chase I just moved to Gastonia from Kansas City. Any chance you could show me some places like this?
Hey John , Love the videos and the scriptures. I found and fished a little creek the other day near Scottsboro, Al. and caught 1 small(3/4 lb.) bass. What surprised me was when I caught 3 7” shiners! Never even knew they got that big. The creek ran under a highway bridge, had to walk to get back to it. Lot of fun, caught everything on a cut down hellgramite. Keep ya line wet n tight.
Jon, lt's always good to see you using the Crick Hopper. It might not always produce.but it's a good lure.Keep on fishing.
thanks for another awesome fishing trip Sir 👍👍✌
be well & stay safe
A new video form my favorite RUclipsr!
He's the best
I agree
Enjoying this journey you are on!
These fish look really healthy. Must be fairly clean water 👍👍. Good video
Another great video. Thanks John. Hope all is well down by you.
There are a lot of smaller channels that I subscribe to just to support them, but I don't really enjoy the vids, but these videos are always REALLY enjoyable! Never stop fishin'.
thanks brother
AMEN! Luv those creek bass! They were prolly washing the water with with laundry detergent to clean it, since it was a treatment plant!
i found some info on the way out how the water they are putting back into the creek is rich and oxygenated and better for the animals in it
Cool Sunday vibe
That was a really nice fishing creek. Good fishing trip. 😊
Nice mix of good fish brother never get tried of fishin with you 😃 thanks for sharing your adventures and God bless.
I was fishing a pond in Texas, had a hard hit. Had a water snake, didnt like it. But I had help and released him safely. First time for me. You all good safe fishing.
i love it when you catch those bass
I really want to try more creeks around my area. Looks amazing. Thanks!
Great video, thanks for sharing.
You were in Lexington my hometown 😩. It was a creek right down the road you could’ve tried. Hope you come back one day.
Lexington 10 min from me.. I'm still trying to figure out what creek it is.. Is it abbott's creek running out of ol'city lake
I like your underwater camera releases!
Great video man!! can't wait to get back on the rivers and creeks here in minnesota!! Watching good videos helps to pass the time!
Great find! Keep the vids coming. Love that you found a church to go to, too cool
Hey John, I live nearby and I'm really surprised that you caught anything buddy. Some of the locals keep these streams around here fished out!!! I mean they keep everything!!! They don't throw anything back. But I'm glad to see you catch'm, one after another, gives me some hope now🙂. Brother, I hope you had good luck in SC. you are........
"Livin the Life"
God Bless my friend.
I know what you mean on ppl fishing out creeks they do it here in south alabama seen a guy just a few days ago caught 13 bass from a pound to 3 pounds and bucket every one also finger sized brim that's why we can go catch fish and just enjoy it because they fish it out no catch and release
i know exactly what youre talking about, there is actually a little creek i like to go to but i have seen a guy take a huge stringer out a couple times and heard other people say he takes fish out, i used to catch fish easy now i have to really search for them and dont ever cacth the big ones anymore. maybe they really need it but mostly i think it is ignorance
I can see catching a mess to eat but the small brim and just loading up on big bass is uncalled for. 5 bass is a mess for a family of 4 plus the size he had he had plenty. It's easy to catch a bass with live minnows drop it in let it swim and something is gonna eat it. It takes work and skill to pull em out with a lure but like you said ignorance.
@@CreekFishingAdventures bream not brim lol phone correction
Another nice video. Keep em coming! Be safe!
On point with the old school Gerber. I’ve had mine 20 years and still use it for unhooking fish.
Found 2 new creeks to fish here in Tulsa..... but I'm 99% sure that the fish are quarantining themselves from the beer virus..... haven't caught anything but a small bass in the last 5 fishing trips!!
maybe give it a couple weeks and it might be better
Wher at in tulsa are the creeks
@@stevenburris376 They're all over the place. I use google maps to locate them. What part of tulsa? I can give you some good suggestions. I've got some pretty good spots
Nice job 🔥 Looked like a great day of fishing right there
Lots of catches!!! Love finding decent bass in skinny creeks!!
Laundry detergent smells increase the algee growth
In Raleigh l used to catch fish in creek and the fish smelled like gas.Fish in city creeks can tolerate high levels of pollution.l do avoid eating them though.
Always look forward to your videos man..relaxes me lol..that dang huggarmite does it again...its a tie between huggarmite vs Crickhopper..be well and safe brotha ✌💙
McAlpine Creek Park is a place you should fish. Their is a lake, and behind it their is a marshy pond with a lot of stumps. Then, of course, the creek itself....very good place to fish this time of year.
It is in the Charlotte area. You can access it of Monroe Rd.
sounds interesting
Thanks for fishing and faith
Thank you for the scriptures at the end of videos may God watch over and keep blessing you
Man, it's just so much different from when you get into the Piedmont and foothills like that then it is over here on the coastal plain.
yah totally different
SC?.....my home state...will be looking forward to your video...hope you have good luck....I’ve certainly have enjoyed watching your creek fishing videos
Hello, you fish mostly on small creeks, I like that, one time my nephew and I went to a small creek, I was not catching anything, and I was wanting to go but he kept saying something is biting his worm on his hook, I did not much believe him, then all at once he pulled out a huge catfish, I could not believe that but it's true, ever since then I like to fish on smaller creeks like you, I have been to Carolina a few years ago nice place. Be bless.
nice video...I live in N. Car close to where you fished in off of the Neuse, but I miss S. Tenn and N. Ala. Good luck the rest of the trip
Awesome video 👍 I love going to church too I am baptized and saved now and hopefully I am able to get out fishing soon they're talking about canceling the fishing season in Ohio because of the Coronavirus
how can you cancel fishing? thats a great way to get away from people
@@CreekFishingAdventures heck I don't know governor Mike dewine and the Ohio department of natural resources talking about canceling or postponing the fishing season until the coronavirus settles downit would really suck to see it close because I want to go fishing on my birthday and fishing is one of my favorite things to do
I love the videos keep up the good work
One of my favorite verses there at the end.
Dang those are some solid creek bass
The dogwoods are in bloom and that means the bass are on their beds.
Try the gold joe’s fly spinner. I live it nc. Everything bites the joe’s fly. Also remember trout stocked waters are closed to fishing in March
Another great video thanks for sharing with us
I grew up in SC PA and caught alot of those red breast sunfish. They were so pretty we never kept any. None of those around here in Wisconsin where I live now. Only pumpkinseed sunfish.
You fished at Little Sugar Creek. I've been fishing there the past several weeks and have pulled some nice bass out of there. You are right at the Water Treatment facility. Looks like you worked further downstream and found my little honey hole at the next bridge down. haha
i wonder what it looks like further downstream
@@CreekFishingAdventures I haven't fished it further south yet, but it seems to dump into Sugar Creek and then to the Catawba River. Back in 2009, Charlotte did a major greenway restoration uptown and uncovered Little Sugar Creek. It used to be covered with concrete and buildings. The restoration looks awesome and there are some nice looking spots that look like they could hold fish. Thanks!
Love the vids
My suggestion if you go back there is to try a small Kastmaster.Everything likes a little gold or silver spoon.
This is my kind of fishing
Still ain't done a make shift lure but you sure look busy. When you run outta bait but still wanna fish, gotta do something. I KNOW your the man for the job.
That looked like a juicy little creek! I wish it would warm up up here in ny I'm going nuts with cabin fever I need to get out start fishing..I left for work at 5am this morning and it was like a white out it was snowing hard I even had to scrape my windows!! GGGRRR!
oh man, it will change soon, hang on
Nice work dude!
Use them perch to catch huge bass
I like to fish outlets early in the year because it warms up the water and fish congregate to the warm water. Paul
I enjoy your videos so much. They relax me. How do you rig the hellgramite? Can you use a damiki mausrin swinging jig?
Great video thanks for sharing stay safe
Charlotte North Carolina? Hmmm. The one time home of Ric Flair. Wooo!
Nice video creek !
Awesome video sir!
Hello John, may the Lord be your point man!
I went and fished the green way in Winston-Salem caught two bass and a red breast went late in the afternoon gonna try early in the morning tomorrow
My Home city... Believe your not that greenway is loaded with nice large mouth and spots.. up in behind the golf course... Nice fishing over there try a 4 inch black senko on a ned rig or just free line.. I guarantee you it won't last long ,and it will get hammered...
Joshua Hart I’ve been thinking about going behind the golf course I’m in kernersville near li vile rd so the golf course is literally right up the road from me. Thanks for the info
Bro ur videos are awesome
The mighty helgermight does it again
Ya never give up ! There's good water with fish somewhere on those creeks. On what tackle etc. ya take , theres one thing I always have " LYSOL " / or some type of antibacterial hand wipes ! There good for cleaning yer hands after fishing / bating hooks or even a small cut /scratch on yer hands. Been using em for two years now. After getting hit by a stingray's barb ! Also good for catfish barbs . Yer hands are clean when ya get back in yer truck. NO fish smell ! Tom Daytona Beach, FL. With the " CV-19 " even better ta use em.
yes i need to add that
Hey man I just discovered you lol those "redbreast" are green sunfish ... They hit like a rock for such a small fish
Was waiting on that intro 🥺
Where can I find hougermint in Griffin GA louwers
I hope to do some trout fishing this weekend might be tricky with all this rain
Right before I looked at this video I was tying my crickhopper on for some creek fishing
thats what im talking about
Lol 😂 I can’t wait to catch some creek bass
Hey man have you ever been fishing in Greensboro nc i live here and would like to fish with you some time buddy.
As always, the bass' favorite lure is the ol' reliable
Next time u come to Charlotte hit me up this creek has good size bass but a couple miles down
Hey man the next time u come to the Charlotte area it's your put out a video letting me know I'll take you to some places around here I live right above Charlotte in Huntersville North Carolina
Hey I just moved to Gastonia from Kansas City. I would be grateful if you could show me a couple spots!
The Mighty Nikko Hellgrammite!!!
You've been catching fish man!
yes sir
@@CreekFishingAdventures fishing is fun that's what I do during spring. Is it ok if I join you on a fishing trip sometime?
If you're ever in south MS I got a few honey holes I think you would like to fish.. Tight Lines!
Look at all the beaver sticks
I live in Charlotte. Do you remember what greenway trail and creek this was? I’d love to check it out
Thursday , Friday and Saturday are gonna be nice ..
Charge those batteries up..
oh i know it!!
Hey there, new to your channel and very thankful that I found you. I was just wondering, do you get a fishing license in every different state that you are fishing in every time?
yeah i have to buy one for each different state i go
The hellgramite is candy everywhere
kills them everywhere in clear water
Try the creeks in downtown Smyrna
Now I know why you were so psyched to head down to Charlotte to this creek. All up and down through Central NC, from Winston-Salem to Charlotte, there are some great places to go fishing. I'm glad you discovered some of them. I am happy for you in seeing you had a wonderful stop in Winston, then East Carolina and then back down to Charlotte on the way home. You covered a lot of territory. There are some places west of Winston out toward Yadkin County and further that would be closer to Cleveland, TN if you wanted to make those trips. Check out alltrails and Google and you will see them. Would be good stuff for a day trip if you decide to hit them up. Good kayaking in that part of NC. One place in particular...Yadkin River, Clemmons, NC....check this out....
www.google.com/maps/@36.0144115,-80.4174059,3a,75y,328.07h,64.4t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sF3VWb68xNHQlFZ-v3Jd8Ww!2e0!7i13312!8i6656
Yeap exactly right .. fish in Clemens at least twice a week.. Nice new greenway beside the school and then beside tanglewood the yadkin river holds some really good fishing. Flatheads, Blue catfish, channel cats, large mouth,Small mouth, spotted bass, trout, all of the bream family.. White bass , strippers, hybrids, crappie, Gizzard shad, Thin fin shad, creek shinners, horny heads, some one side tiger muskiee, but I don't know about that one..
What have you been doing , looks like some fun fishing
Fun !
God's Blessings !!
I caught one of those Hornyheads the other day. I had never heard of it. Those were some thick bass, even the little ones! Great video! 👍👍
yes i saw that, great stuff
@@CreekFishingAdventures awesome man thank you!
