- A day out with Thomas the Tank Engine at the Medina Railrad museam in Medina,NY.I was a volunteer conductor on the train so it was alot more fun than just sitting there.I also got coryrusch a cab ride in the ALCo RS-32 and he enjoyed it.This video is dedicated to the millions of Thomas fans that have helped keep him going for more than 60 years.Thomas was the first train I ever loved and watching his shows every weekend inspired me to love trains,I still love him to this day and im glad to see he's still going stronger than ever.Thomas Fan For Life.

I work with that railroad on these Thomas events, if there is a good crew that day they would gladly give a ride to a friend of mind, Obviously it's not guaranteed, but chances are high.

The Thomas At The Zig Zag Railway Can Move Under It's Own Power But Needs Just One 0-6-0 Diesel Locomotive Coz The Train Has 7 Carriges Including Heavy Cargo One

Well I don't think you can volunteer on the train cars, but you should talk to Marty, he's the founder of the Medina Railroad Museum, I'll bet he may be looking for volunteers, lord knows there's alot to do on a "Day out with Thomas" event. But what I meant was,if you could meet me there on one of the train runs, on a good day, and get lucky enough to have a good engine crew that day, then you've got a chance at a cab ride in the RS-32

@trainman122 once i went to a day out with thomas but they said its the wrong day so we went on a train bought a few Thomas merchandise and I saw the rear of toby
@crazyracer12 there's also the smoke controller and the thing that moves his eyes but that's it.
@nyc3001 He uses some kinda digital device that is hooked into Thomas.

Their are real working Thomas steamers in various places around the US. Just not here.
were tylon single chime horns used on the GG-1's
no...I think GG-1's used Leslie A type horns, sound the same but I think Leslies were deeper toned.

that horn sounds like it from a GG-1
it's a tyfon single chime. the crew called it a tub boat horn

What did you do as a conductor?
General safety, help people onto the train, count them all, then pull the ticket stubs from all their tickets, count those stubs, cand out jr. engineer certificates and then help them off the train. all in 45 minutes. 12 times a day, two weekends.

Very few are actual....Strasburg RR's and one out west somewhere the rest are Batterie powered dummys that need pushed.....UK's are better cause they are the same class of engine...lol

This Thomas is a dummy engine, but there are other versions of him around the US that have power and what not.
