@@francisnorthwood7862 I purchased this bike as a canvas for customisation during the various lockdowns. Miles wise, about 1700, zero problems. Hoping to put some serious miles on it ASAP.
@@WildlifeMoto Agree. The blank canvas aspect of the RE Interceptor is a big reason I'm attracted to the bike. Bikes are very personal choices based on a number of considerations. Regarding the "Grip Puppies." I bought some for my BMW R1150R a few years ago and they weren't tight enough and when I turned the throttle the grip would just spin on the grip so you might need to apply some kind of spray adhesive to the inside of the grip to solve this problem.

Strange how the OEM ‘touring seat’ comes as standard on the Continental GT, but on the Interceptor it doesn’t. Surely the Interceptor is the bike most people would opt for, for touring?
I Like the Royal Enfield Interceptor and the Classic 500, but the Interceptor has upswept exhausts, plastic silver mudguards, and silver wheels that let it down. I believe it would look much better with straight exhausts and chrome/stainless mudguards and wheels. I'd buy an older British bike but the Enfields would be more reliable and less problematic. The Classic 500 is a beautiful-looking machine but the Vibrations put me off. I wonder if rubber mounting the engine would cut down vibrations enough?
Good video. Hope to be getting an Enfield in 2022. Great bike. I especially like the oil guard. Looks nice. Love the handlebars too. It would be the first thing I would change from stock. Like the bags. But full camping setup? Don’t know about that… I doubt you could fit a tent in there with poles… The seat… I’m a fan of a completely flat seat for a bike like this as you can sit further back just to change body positioning for a little while..

Also the luggage.. I can think of plenty of quality options at a fraction of the price tbh. Still, some will disagree and that's fine.
Hello and thank you for your videos ! I have a few questions about touring mods which seem important for me : how to attach a Tomtom SatNav to the handlebar, how to connect nicely some electrical devices (you mention a free plug in the headlight), and panier choices (SLC support are looking good but the paniers are not secured at SW-Motech)

Packing something to stay away one night and visit some places, this bike looks ideal, the katana is way too powerful and uncomfortable

Great video👍 I’m looking at the Continental touring seat as I think the lines suit the bike better (I have the same Ravishing Red Interceptor as you). I will also be using the bike for touring and will be using a 40l dry bag and lomo throw overs. I can get camping kit, clothes etc in with room to spare as I’ll be one up. My last bike was a BM R1200RS with hard panniers on it - a supreme high speed tourer.......but I’ve recently toured on an MZ250 and a 955i Daytona. Bike touring is a state of mind......you can tour on anythin🏍👍
I would recommend an interceptor and switching out the tank. That’s what they do in India. Also love the look more of the GT, but the Interceptor is the more comfy bike.
Great video I have similar issues with my Moto Guzzi V7iii I never knew about the clutch cable. For the USB I got a dual one that goes into my swingarm bag I can't change the seat out because of the special model the luggage I'm trying 50 l Joe Rocket duffle bag hope it work
Ive also got the GT touring seat. For me the flat seat is better for the first 15 minutes or so, but after that the GT seat is much better. Im not sure it will work well with the handlebar risers though?
Thank you for the video very good suggestions. The USB plug however concerns me because it is open to rain. There’s got to be a better solution that is weatherproof.
Have you managed to get out for a decent ride on the GT touring seat yet? Or is it all still shite over in the UK? If you have, how's the new seat holding up?
Hi Damien. I’ve been out of a couple of “essential errands”. When you first get on it, it actually feels lest comfortable, but after a while the extra support starts to become beneficial. So far so good, but needs more testing on a longer ride!
@@WildlifeMoto I'm ordering my bike this week. Will go the GT touring seat because I really like the way it looks on your bike. I've got an old sheepskin seat cover I'll put on and see if that also helps in any way. Thanks for getting back to me. Stay safe!
luggage setup idea awkward & also to carry even enough for a weekend you're making the bike top heavy. C bow system by Hepco Becker. If you're going to upgrade the grips in your climate & indeed mine then you put oxford heated grips on-far more practical solution for touring especially in winter time or those cooler day's where the weather has changed while you're on your ride. You've changed your muffler's which you don't mention in your video as it would be a worth while change for touring as if it's a good system the bike will breath better-run cooler-improve performance and certainly improve fuel efficiency. Love the seat idea though & I know a friend who did a similar upgrade on his bike. I would also go along with protecting the oil cooler.
Very good, well thought out presentation. Nice pieces to add. If I buy the RE Interceptor, I'd definitely have them all. (Touring is such a major aspect of having a bike in the first place.) Panniers and windscreen coming up by any chance? Those items strike me as a no brainer for a longer tour.

Hi Jack. I have since added the Dart fly screen. It offers a bit of protection. I didn’t want to put a huge touring screen on a bike like this.
Great video and nice motobike.
Loving your handlebars and set-backs! Whose are they, and do they do chrome?? 🙏
Thanks. The bars are LSL Superbike and you can get them in chrome. Risers are Motone Customs up and over for 22mm bars. Cheers.
Hey, Buddy! The handlebar looks dashing. Where can I get it?
LSL superbike bars - German Brand.
@@WildlifeMoto which model handle bar is it?
Great video👍 I’m looking at the Continental touring seat as I think the lines suit the bike better (I have the same Ravishing Red Interceptor as you). I will also be using the bike for touring and will be using a 40l dry bag and lomo throw overs. I can get camping kit, clothes etc in with room to spare as I’ll be one up. My last bike was a BM R1200RS with hard panniers on it - a supreme high speed tourer.......but I’ve recently toured on an MZ250 and a 955i Daytona. Bike touring is a state of mind......you can tour on anythin🏍👍
Absolutely, i've toured on a 250 before. It was so much fun.
I would recommend an interceptor and switching out the tank. That’s what they do in India. Also love the look more of the GT, but the Interceptor is the more comfy bike.
Thats cool man.. I own a Gt conti in India and have done similar modes
osam few of these mods even i did on my Interceptor
Classic! Love it so much.
I have used "Grip Puppies" on every bike I have owned. Can't recommend them highly enough.
VERY GOOD 2 WHEELER TRACTOR
Interesting movie, thanks! Just subscribed.
Cheers John, welcome!
@@WildlifeMoto we are going to place your video on www.ikzoekeenmotor.nl
Love that mods for your RE will. Those in the future, take care
Nice mods, can you tell about handlebar make?
this is a useful video, I have Some Questions, How can i reach out to you?
True. You won’t be able to use this in the rain. Maybe I could make a cable with a rubber cap glued to the end. 🧐
New subscriber mate keep it up. I just bought CB 350 HONDA as my first bike in India.
Thanks mate. Your first bike is always the best bike! Enjoy.
@@WildlifeMoto sure sir 🙏
We want the CB350 in UK!!!! Lovely looking bike.
Stay safe!
Great suggestions, practical and ethically pleasing. I see from the vid you have upgraded the rear of the interceptor is that on this channel?
Thanks. I’ve featured it in other videos but not in a massive amount of detail. I’ll do a full vid on it soon. Cheers 👍
Great mods, but do the grip puppies hold water? Love the mirrors too, Hitchcocks by any chance?
Hi Colin, yes I expect they will take longer to dry out than rubber grips. Mirrors are Street Fighter mirrors from Oberon Performance.
Had my Grip Puppies on my 650GT since July 2019 and no wet spongy issues so far. Even when you wash the bike, they're dry in a few moments 👍
India is doing great job on royal enfield bikes.. Proud to be an Indian. Love from india.
luggage setup idea awkward & also to carry even enough for a weekend you're making the bike top heavy.
Good informative video, love the handle bar, it's really looking great....pls share the product name
These are LSL Superbike bars :)
Beautiful motorcycle
Very good, well thought out presentation. Nice pieces to add. If I buy the RE Interceptor, I'd definitely have them all. (Touring is such a major aspect of having a bike in the first place.)
Panniers and windscreen coming up by any chance? Those items strike me as a no brainer for a longer tour.
Cheers Rick. Checked out the pinned comment for my video on the windscreen. Ride safe!
