The Series X consumes 160w max and the PS5 is somewhere around 200w maximum. You aren't even close to that figure. If the Series S consumed 250w that would make it extremely power inefficient and I'd wonder how they keep it so slim in that small box. In fact that would make it more inefficient than the Xbox One X from 2017
Thanks, it helps me. For those expériencing crash, disable "render mode" (fixed, etc...), it reduce stuttering and crash, better smooth. I think it's because we are at lowest résolution (800p), so it try to render it with a lower res, and its not necessary and conflictual.
They didn't optimize it for handhelds no. When I play it on my rtx 4080, it's amazing and well optimized lmao but that's expected for a pc like mine but when I run it on my legion go it's blah😢
Lol lossless is great but doesn’t help this game. Actually in some cases makes it worse due to the resources used. The ingame framegen is very good here. Better than what im getting with lossless. Its a limit in what the hardware can do combined with how the game is made. The handhelds are literally lowest end pc hardware. They aren’t always going to be able to properly play difficult to run / demanding games. We are fortunate we have what we we have 😂
One of the main reasons why I stuck to my Android handhelds is that we have moonlight, and I don't need to worry about my battery life or tweaking settings, I just use my desktop pc to stream to my Odin, it's like I'm playing it right there, no noticeable latency for for me. Great vid, but there's too many compromises with these handhelds, when I got an RP4 and an Odin, extremely portable and pocketable, I see little justification to use x86 handhelds. Unless we could upgrade em how we do with desktops. I can't justify paying $700cad+ for these. Gotta love AMD for bringing EVERYONE, Frame Generation.

I never did get it to work on steamos. Not rly anyway. Might have loaded in a time or two. Windows i had the most luck. I will re check after actually launch of the game and updates. Make sure your 4gb vram in bios also. 1gb will crash more
Allocation more vram is worse performance. 800p uses 6Gb or less vram to run the game. Its system ram we are short and thats the issue. Sometimes auto vram works but thats a rare case. Not a fan of auto it usually the worse option and a lot of games dont like it. It also performed much worse.

Capping 30 will be tough when you cant reach that without frame gen. But can try. As far as fsr i showed that and talked about it. Picture quality was f course keeps getting hit as u go from balanced to performance to ultra performance. With thos you can gain 1-2 fos more thats about it. We hitting out limits here hardware wise.
if they made this not to be played for handhelds well state it. Don't put it out like this it feels like they didn't even hesitate to try it out on a handheld, yet optimise it. Basically a tech demo alpha stage ''something'' performance wise

Some stuff like this and dragons dogma will barely run, but then you have horizon forbidden West, baldurs gate 3, etc that run great some even if it's not officially supported.

The difference between 1280x800 and 1280x720 is barely even there. Plus most people will only play in handheld mode so you'll stick to 1280x800. No point in testing as he already showed that performance between the Ally and Go are pretty much identical with all the stutters and average frame rates

Unless it’s asking for more RAM & it might be/c it’s a Ubisoft game & there’s no doubt that Avatar is asking for more RAM & not running well of you can’t provide it, no matter the chip, then lossless scaling should make this game run, I would imagine. Even on windows steam deck out will probably run. If it’s demanding more RAW it do happens that I own a device that has more, but it’s not the ROC Alley X. The X does have more RAM & would probably work. If it’s capable however of running w/ 16 gigs of RAM, lossless scaling will I suspect allow this to run on almost any windows device & generate 30 fps.
Did you try it with Auto Vram? It could be one of those games that runs better on auto like Hogwarts Legacy or red dead redemption 2. Thanks for the video 👍

It runs smack in the middle of 720 and 1080 mostly and framegen still works well. Still not as good as 720 in many areas as we are squeezing everything out e can out of this. But yea its a much mpre doable option than 1080 which id stay away from for now.

But i will say as a Huge Star Wars fan im about 16 hours into the game and story and I am truly enjoying it. They rly nailed the atmosphere for that time period in Star Wars. Some of the stealth gameplay sucks as does some of the basic combat but it gets the job done. The game more shines when it comes to the worlds and the star wars feel. Not gonna be for everyone but I am enjoying my time. Probably a 7-7.5 out of 10 type score for me.
Bazzite isn't even worse than using windows. That sounds like you've never used the OS. I dual boot between the two and Bazzite tends to be far more seemless. I only use windows for Windows only games. Other than that, most games work fine whether they're from Steam or not

The Snowdrop engine used in Avatar as well is very taxing even on high end pc rigs, impressive that it even runs playable on the Ally X.
