We love how much you love your flowers. You really light up every time you show a new blossom and tell the story behind it.

Thank you so so much. I love sharing the joy with fellow enthusiasts. We have more flowers than ever this year! I'm so amazed watching them grow, knowing I put a speck of a seed in the soil. Just amazing ❤

My goodness Leigh. Your sweet peas. Amazing. Here in 9b mine have withered and gone to seed. Your veggies are obviously so nurtured and thriving. I wish my shishitos looked as healthy as yours. My poblanos and nadapenos are coming along. Baking lots of zucchini bread for family and neighbors, and to think last year I got ONE because the vine borers invaded. Continued gardening successes to you and Farmer John.

Hi Monica thank you so much! ❤ this is the first year I haven't seen vine borer yet. Probably because there's no zucchini. Last year they destroyed my cukes as well. The sweet pea fragrance through the yard is so incredible I wish it would last longer

OMG!!!! Wow!! I’m blown away! Stunning June tour!
You made some really good changes to the garden too. Yes, you should get a great yield! Just get your rest now - July and August are rapidly approaching.
I forget which variety, but one of my tomatoes went four ways practically overnight. And that is a nightmare because I’m trying to do single stem, lower and lean. 😡 I have some hard choices with pruning this week.
Lol, I’ve been dreaming of borage!
I’m with you on the hollyhock; so beautiful, so sickly.
Thank you for the tour. I’ve been busy with my gardens too. I ripped out three azaleas (not a fan of them) and replaced them with day lilies. Other little changes here and there too.
As for caterpillars, I haven’t seen any. I think the birds have gotten them all. I’m not starting up my serious butterfly raising until August. For now I’m content with giving them the raw materials.
Only one monarch looking butterfly came through a week ago, and a couple of black swallowtails…no one else. I did find baby lantern flies - they got squished and their mangled bodies were left out for my regular bugs to snack on. I think the grackles and other birds have begun to chase the lantern flies.

Thank you so much for watching and supporting us ❤ yes lots of changes helping to keep it tidy and easy to manage the hose monster. I had to make hard pruning decisions this weekend as well. Ugh, flowers and babies on some rogue suckeres for dr wychies. I think I have 1 small caterpillar on dill. And 1 ruby throat hummer coming through.

Beyond AMAZING!!!! I am so happy for the 2 of you! I know you both put so much time and effort into your garden. The ending was incredible - the clouds, flowers and sunset! Is the "hog panel" that you used for most of the cages? I think you did say that is what you used. How do you like the red cages? I saw those at Lowes today for $14.95 each. I have one in storage, and I'm certain that I didn't pay that much a few years ago.. I almost purchased a few today, but the price just bugged me too much. They're easy to store. Beautiful job!!!!!

Thank you Gail 😊 you're a constant support for us ❤ I'm so happy you watched to the end. This evening was magic in the sky. Yes all round cages are hog panel. You can make the any diameter you choose. The red I've had for at least 8 years. I'm certain under $10 each back then. They do store nicely, and stake in well. I prefer them over the customary ring cages. The down side of hog cages is, no stakes, you have to add ground support. I wind a stake through the squares and drive it down. Often winding 2 cages together.

@@ourbackyardgarden guess I will bite the bullet and buy the red cages. I do hace 1 cage in one of those units for rent. I hate that! But we aren't ready to bring over my husband's woodworking tools. We need to build a workshop first.
Those seet peas are to die for!!!

Nice garden... I can't figure out why so many people grow large lawns instead of large gardens... go figure...

Thank you! I agree, we are doing our best to have gardens and eliminate most of the grass!
