- Minnesota Twins prospect Emmanuel Rodriguez is showing out in Double-A, but he's still only 21-years-old. Here's some discussion around timeframes on when I'd consider moving him up to Triple-A and even some talk around when he might be promoted to the big leagues.

Keirsey is currently with a .400 OBP about .446 SLG and an .846 OPS vs L, not bad. Speaking of a guy that Texas broke all the rules with is Wyatt Langford who came straight from college to the majors.
I figure Erod gets called up to AAA before the end of the season. Probably some time in July. And if he kills it there, he gets a serious chance at the roster next year.

Great insight on Erod... in a similar vein the Cardinals brought Jordan Walker up too early. He did ok for a bit but has been back in AAA figuring it out. Masyn Winn is only 6 months older and is having a great season. Depends on the player for sure.

Hey Tom, what about Festa. He seems like the real thing and as shaky as Lopez has been, I think The Twins need some starter help. How long do you guess until he's called up?
He needs an opportunity to open up. Who are you taking out of the rotation to put Festa in? SWR is pitching well enough to keep his spot. The other four guys aren’t going anywhere as long as they’re healthy.
I’d also like to see Festa going 5+ on a more regular basis before creating a spot for him.

If you want him starting. Going to a 6-man rotation, you’re taking a spot out of your bullpen, since there’s a limit on how many pitchers you can have on a roster.
I would be surprised if the Twins called him up and put him in the bullpen, but I wouldn’t hate it. He could be really good in a multi-inning middle relief role now.
Has it been determined if he is Emmanuel "Don't Call Me Manny" Rodriguez? 🤔
I guess the guys on the team call him Emma. Never heard him referred to as Manny. Not sure his feelings on that, but it’s clearly not his preference.

AA is more of a pitchers league too. AAA is where you normally see the hitters shine
I think Kiersey is a little different because correct me if im wrong, but hes not on the 40 man. So need to cut a dude to make a spot for him. Cut Margot. Even if he picks it up a little, hes not more valuable then seeing what a great playing younger guy can do.
I’m just happy we have some younger players that have promise moving up. Factoring in the Twins management self imposed payroll limits we may “need” inexpensive younger position players. It feels like we are getting off pretty cheaply on pitching now with Ober, Ryan, SWR and Paddock. I don’t know their contract details or arbitration status but it just feels like we WILL have to devote a lot more money to pitching in the future so they will need those cheaper quality position players to balance things out.

No they are healthy now both currently on rehab assignments
