Thanks to the Osaka Pass, we got free coins for the Gacha machines. We went outside and went on a boat ride around the castle. A kind man gave us tickets for the boat ride for free. Coincidentally, we ended up meeting that same man at the Tsutenkaku Tower later on. Tsutenkaku Tower was next. We walked towards the town square looking for places to eat. We decided to eat at Rokusen Sushi Tsutenkaku Honten. The best sushi I've ever had in my entire life. Authentic sushi eaten in Japan. The portion sizes for the sushi were larger than the sushi pieces that you find in Paris or in America. Just tasted more fresh and deeper flavors. The Japanese really put a lot of love and care into their food.
Thanks to the Osaka Pass, we were allowed free entry into the Tsutenkaku Tower. We enjoyed a thrilling slide ride from the center of the tower. We spent 200 yen to go up to the top of the tower and got a nice view of the city.
For our evening activities, we checked out the teamLab Botanical Garden Osaka. It was just an absolutely stunning visual experience and a perfect date spot with your lover. Fresh air and warm vibes. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed it. This was not included in the Amazing Pass, but so worth it. This concluded our first day in Osaka.
The next day, we ate a nice Japanese-style breakfast and went to our Airbnb. The apartment was cozy and a perfect accommodation for couples. The owner met us at the front door and helped us gain access to the space.
For the evening, I wanted to take Kyunghee on a nice date. We explored the city, thinking about where we should eat. We decided to try Kobe Beef WANOMIYA. It was a nice experience... I really wanted to treat my girl to a nice restaurant while we were in Japan. In hindsight though, it was kind of a rip-off. The portion sizes were tiny, and we left the place still hungry. My girlfriend commented afterwards that we could have just bought the Kobe beef from the local supermarket and cooked it ourselves at the apartment, which would have saved us money. You can buy a decent-sized kobe beef steak for like $15 to $20 at the supermarket. The fried rice at the end was so good though. Simple, but delicious. After watching the video, you could probably make it yourself.
For our fun activity for the evening, we went to the Chiang Mai Thai Massage. They actually have Thai women who know how to give a proper Thai massage. For context, we took a 14-hour flight to Korea, chilled there for a couple of days, then flew to Japan. We had just literally walked for 24 hours straight the day before to really maximize that Amazing Pass. My back was aching, and my feet felt like they were bleeding. The Thai massage was perfect. I love how they do all these sophisticated techniques to essentially realign your spine. It was only 45 minutes but cost only $40 per person.
It was a lot more affordable than what we got in Korea, which was like $60 per person, and they didn't even have any Thai women on staff because of restrictions by the Korean government with Thai citizens getting work visas in Korea. In Korea, they had some Korean women give the most basic, boring, and at times painful massage that was not worth the money. The place in Korea we went to was 타이24 Thai 24 Massage. Funny enough, a year ago when they had Thai staff, the massage there was the best I ever had... it was the most sensual and incredible experience.
After the massage, feeling refreshed and reinvigorated, we checked out Osaka city center. Japan is a super clean and tidy country. Compared to a city like Paris, that is grungy, filled with litter, rude people smoking everywhere, and the occasional human or dog shit found on the ground. Have I mentioned the number of homeless people?
I would actually consider living in Japan if the opportunity presented itself. Osaka would be the perfect central hub. Close to the airport and not as expensive as Tokyo. Just a cool city overall. The grocery stores were awesome too. Everything is super affordable and high quality. If I could eat Japanese food from the Japanese supermarket all the time, honestly, I could probably live for hundreds of years more.
On our final day in Osaka, we made our way to the airport. I was just blown away by how you can get some really good Udon noodles, pork katsu sandwich, and green tea at the airport! We got on the plane and flew back to South Korea.

Chakaiseki Akiyoshi or Alleudium. Both are very expensive but the experience was incredible.
