【生命のダンス】アカテガニの放仔（小網代の森）／Red-clawed crab releasing zoea (Koajiro forest, Japan)

三浦市にある源流から湾までの生態系が丸ごと残る、奇跡の森と呼ばれる「小網代の森」。絶滅危惧種も含めて2,000種以上が生息しています。そこに生きるカニたちと、アカテガニの放仔の様子を、公益財団法人かながわトラストみどり財団さまにご依頼をいただいて撮影しました。卵を産んだアカテガニは、卵を抱えてしばらく陸上で過ごし、孵化直前になると、大潮の夜に河口で子どもを放ちます。カニたちの生命のダンスをお楽しみください。
The Koajiro Forest is a miraculous forest in Miura City, Japan that preserves the entire ecosystem from the headwaters to the bay. More than 2,000 species live here, including endangered species. I was asked by the Kanagawa Trust Green Foundation to film the crabs living there and the red-clawed crab releasing zoea observation event. The red-clawed crabs that lay eggs stay on land for a while with their eggs, and just before hatching, they release their zoea at the mouth of the river on the night of high tide. Please enjoy the dance of life of the crabs.
