    Love the Seneca. I was on the fence following disappointment from the Seminole and purchased it mostly based on your review. It did not disappoint. Thanks!

      You’re welcome! Yep, I really enjoy the Seneca, she’s a good ship.

    I hope that the updates in SU10 will be brought to the Seneca so that maybe we can lose an engine and still fly properly...I have a DIY home cockpit with an Aspen 1000 PFD for the ADI/HSI and the ASI/Alt/VSI/TC will all be physical gauges when it's done...nothing like doing a DME arc and hitting your turn point to join the arc and quickly dialing in the cross radial and heading, then as you hit that radial, being able to "turn 10 twist 10" was magical the first time I did it in the sim

      Yeah I’m hoping Carenado bring the new prop physics to all their planes - like you say, it might actually fix the single engine performance on the Seneca.
      That setup sounds great! Glad you’re enjoying it.

    Hey there! Great video. I noticed in your last Seneca video, and this one as well, that you were questioning the logic of Piper’s fuel selectors in their vertical selection, with off in the middle. In the real world, both the Seminole and Seneca’s valves don’t close instantaneously, and the fuel is still flowing to the engine for just a bit (not to mention there is fuel still present in the line), so if the engines are running and you select the fuel shutoff detent they don’t cut off immediately; takes a few seconds. So if you are afraid of cutting off the engine when moving to the crossfeed detent it’s generally not an issue at all. Even on one of the Seminoles I fly the selectors don’t move too easily and you really have to move them back a bit hard in order to get to crossfeed, and even then it’s not a problem. HOWEVER, in Microsoft’s versions, when you select fuel cut-off it will cut off immediately, so what I do is spin the mouse wheel fast to shift the selectors, and it flies back to the crossfeed detent without the risk of stopping at off. Of course, for muscle memory I don’t even use them when taxiing, I just place my hand in the approximate location and “move” the selectors as I do in the real aircraft instead of bothering with switching views to do it in the sim. But I like this version a lot better than the FSX version, which can be more difficult to fly. But you’re right, that single engine performance is wrong.

      Thanks for the comment, glad you enjoyed the video! Fingers crossed they fix the SE performance because I do enjoy flying this thing around.

    Great video! (And great review of the aircraft in the other video).
    Question: what's that garmim glass cockpit like? Where can I download or buy?
    Thanks. Keep up with this fantastic videos

    Love your vids! Just had a suggestion of going to headphone simulation audio or decreasing the engine noise as its a bit distracting while your talking...by no means absolutely necessary, but I think it would be an improvement.

      @FlyFromHome  2 года назад

      Thanks for the feedback 😊 I’m always worried that the headphone mode is a bit quiet - I did turn down the sim audio a bit but perhaps it needs to be done a bit more! In answer to your other question I’ve not had any problems with the trim, but it could be a sim bug 🤔

    Congrats on the new qualifications, are you allowed to play with real twins (with more than 2 levers) now ? :-)

      It’s the PMS50 Garmin 750 mod. If you install that, then there’s an option on the tablet to switch them over.

    I do like the Seneca but it's so hard to see anything out of it on the ground, no good for spotting airfields :-/

    • @FlyFromHome
      @FlyFromHome  2 года назад

      Yeah it’s not on its own there, most twins don’t have great visibility. Doesn’t matter when you’re IFR, but still.

    Also, a question: On mine, it resets the trim to zero when autopilot is engaged. Do you have that problem?

    • @lancepeltier1081
      @lancepeltier1081 2 года назад

      It's been a minute since your comment but I wanted to jump in on this: I've noticed with the Seneca and the Skymaster both that after I disengage the autopilot, the moment I touch the trim wheel it "snaps back" to dead neutral. Depending on where the autopilot left it, it noses me up or down, sometimes quite violently. Since I never heard anyone else talk about it I assumed it was maybe a bug specific to the Xbox Series X or something.
