Hell yes - I’ve been hoping you’d get one of these in to try. Looking forward to the follow up vids! I’d love to see you play through the burnsides as well someday. Keep rockin’ in good health!
Hey James… I own the 6L6 version of the Vintage Deluxe with 3x10 cab and absolutely love it. It would be great if you could get your hands on a 6L6 version and do a head to head comparison. Absolutely love your channel and look forward to hearing more about your thoughts on this amazing new amp from Two-Rock. PS… I also own a 100w CLRS thanks in part to your channel. Thanks again for sharing your Amp Tone journey with all of us. 👍
Thank you for the video! It seems as though you were using the fuzz for all of the demo, beginning and end ? Is there a demo using just the amp? Thank you!
Pleased coda have realised how much potential your channel has bud. Top drawer content, I’ve put a down payment on a 57 black beauty partly through your shopping vid
would it be possible for you to have access at the same time to both versions of this amp and make a video and talk about how they differ???????????? i guess my question on this amp would be "how much of a fender sound "is this compared to a Traditional Clean? for example
I mean to me the Trad Clean is my least favourite tr that i’ve played because it misses the sparkle and the feel of a fender. It is much more modern feeling and sounding. So this one definitely gives more of that old feel and sound
@@JamesOnGuitar cool What also would be really interesting-at least to me-would be a recording with just a room mic - cause I’m really curious if Two Rock managed to get the Amp it self quiet ( transitor noise , hum,…) all those unpleasant things that sadly for example Fender doesn’t seem to manage very well in last few years on all their reissue Models!?
This first impression did nothing for me. I guess my draw to the other TwoRocks is their insane levels of dynamics and open tone. The challenge of getting musicality out of the beasts that can be brutal to play. ☺ When I compare this to your Dale Wilson through CRS video there's just no comparison for me. Even with RUclips compression there is a raw larger than life character with the higher powered amps that I haven't felt from this first impression today. The Vintage deluxe is sounding thicker and far less dynamic like my vintage '53 Pro Amp which you may remember from TPS videos earlier this year. So I'd say this new TR is living up to an early vintage offering. 🙂 I'm interested to see if I still feel the same or start to change my mind when you really get into this one in the coming days. I always felt early on in your journey with TR's that I was glad for getting the 100/50 versions of their amps that I bought. The Friedman BE50 Deluxe was the gateway amp for me into 100W TR's. That was my first experience of next level dynamics and doubling the power to 100w TR's does not disappoint. It's never about volume, it's all about what it feels like and how it makes you feel to play with such depth and dynamics... I completely missed you moving on from the TS1, which I may have taken off your hands. Mind you I cannot complain using my BloomField and CRS stereo delay/reverb + other wet effects ABY'd with BE50 as a dry centre channel. Sometimes I go for the full madness of a modern 360 cinema experience by adding in another mix of JL Sig, Royalist, Matchless. Sneaking in a dose of Imperial MKii 2nd channel with tremolo to the side of my playing position has a great effect in my room too. Of course it can turn into a wash if you're not careful, but holly molly if you haven't done it yet (just 'cos you can) then I encourage you to try a load of wireless receivers and just see how bonkers or amazing it can get trying a wall of amps across the 4 walls around you and having your hairs stand on end. What do I like best about todays video? You're playing man. Cheers👍👍
Shockingly underwhelmed by the tone here. Just sounds muffled as hell to my ears. That said, I didn't love my Studio Signature, either. The Traditional Clean, though... *chef's kiss*
Ha Ha, you have obviously never played through one. I have a 50 Watt Crystal Head and 2x12 Cab with Celestion G12 Gold Alnicos. Let me tell you I'll give any other Head and 2x12 cab a race they probably will not win unless you are running a Dumble or a Trainwreck. Yes, I know that is a bold statement, but I'll take on any challengers. Just Saying 😎
Sounds like an amp. But unaffordable. You should start all reviews with the RRP. Reviews need to take into account the price. Nit just the sound and features. Cause this amp sounds very very close to a Mexican made deluxe reverb. Which is probably 30% of the price.
Having played the deluxe reverb you are talking about - I can definitely say it doesn’t sound the same, and it also has a different feature set… so that’s not an apple to apples comparison. Can a deluxe reverb sound great - of course! But in the same room this would sound quite a lot more interesting, have a master volume and various other ways to tweak it too. Plus, it isn’t a 100% sunk cost - if you decide to sell you’ll lose about 1/3 on the two rock, which depending on how long you use it for could be negligible if it is used for work, or for years of pleasure!
Let me know if you have specific questions you want answered in the next video 👍🏼
That amp is amazing. It's like a Dumble at lower volumes
Two Rocks sound so good. Also, thanks for using the dB meter. Those are so helpful for amp videos.

Cheers! Yeah i do wanna try the burnside too
That amp reeeeeeally suits your fingers. Lovely!
Thanks!
A comparison with the classic reverb would be interesting. I was always curious how my CRS would compare to a vintage fender style amp
Yeah that i’ll definitely do

I wish i could, that’d be great! Maybe one day! Hope you are enjoying the crs 🤟🏼
Omg....that thing sounds incredible
Works like to hear how the gain effects the treble response
I’ve noticed the gain really effects the treble response on most two rocks
Perhaps a comparison between single coils and humbuckers such as a 335? Great video!
Good idea!

Oh awesome! Congrats… and thank you 😃
Rock on brother..two rock made in cali

nice! i need to hear a Les Paul into that sucker
A head version of this would be cool
what's that Victoria amp you have there?
Very cool!
Been waiting on this….
I‘m on the verge of buying one !
I would really like to know how quiet you can get it with still sounding good !?
Video on that coming asap!

What a fantastic video have a wonderful day James also I have subscribe to the channel have a wonderful weekend 😊❤
It’s definitely got the thing ❤
That it has 🖤
What happened with the TS-1? Did you trade it for the newer 100-watt Classic Reverb?
No i traded it a while back for the 2 MB Guitars strats
Thought you’d got a traditional clean at first 😅
Not for me! 😂
killer amp
It is 🤟🏼
Loved the demo! Just curious to what type of guitar cable you are using?
Made by a small company called Mojo Cables - this pink one was hand made for my pink guitar charity project

I know it’s not yours, but the opening strat sound is one of your best on the channel!
Thanks!
The, now discontinued, Akoya had bias vary tremolo.
Ah! Didn’t know that. It was the harmonic trem in the joey landreth amp that was a first, i misspoke. Thanks for the i fo

110+dB! Yikes. Sounds good, but watch your ears!
Two Rock should change their name to TOO Expensive.

Nothing special.
Not worth the money 💰
Right… but that’s both subjective and relative to each person’s own circumstances
