I’ve always felt like an old soul and crone, even at my age now of 33. I was diagnosed with preimenopause at 21 and have been going through menopause ever since then. It’s hard and depressing at times when I hear that women I went to school with are expecting a baby but I tell myself that if the universe wanted me to be a mother there would be signs to let me know. My sister is expecting and I’m thrilled to be an auntie. I’m also excepting myself as I am.
Wonderful video once again and gave me so much to think about. I have also felt myself becoming or rather returning to the person I was as a child. I drive my partner crazy when we go for our regular walks in the woods or by the beach and he looks back to find me touching a tree, or picking up stones, shells or feathers. The world has started to become magickal again. I've been in menopause for about 4 years now and I have to admit to finding it very hard at first. I never thought I'd miss bleeding but I suddenly felt apart from and not part of something shared by women. I'm starting to come out the other side now and into an unexpectedly wonderful place.

What makes me feel like I'm a crone is my age and that I have gone through menopause. For me It's a right of passage. I'm going into the winter years of my life and I have wisdom that maybe women in their maiden and mother years have not experienced yet? I feel this is a very sacred time in my life and it's a time to honor myself and my life as well as others. Love you ladies it's always nice having coffee with you all.
Love this it is very important to honor the crone in each of us. I yours to be afraid of getting older. But I am very much loving this phase of my life.
I'm 63, and I've always resonated with the Crone, but I didn't feel I'd achieved it until I went 13 moons without bleeding. I want to push back a bit against the idea that the physicality isn't important. Women's bodies have been discounted and disregarded so much and for so long that I think it's important to own the processes that are unique to women's bodies. Menarche, the menstrual cycle, the fertility cycle (ovulating woman, pregnant woman, lactating woman), and menopause are all physical processes that write deeply in our lives and our souls. We deserve to celebrate ourselves for weathering these transitions.

Funny how life works. This past weekend, I journeyed literally into the womb of our Great Mother (it was my first time caving). It was absolutely beautiful exploring underground. Afterwards I had a fire ceremony, giving myself permission to let go of past roles I held in this life so that I can step into the sacredness of the crone archetype. And then this video pops up in my recommended without having to search for it. It feels like confirmation that I am magical ❤

I love these long chat sessions where conversation just flows so naturally and you all share your experiences advice and wisdom I feel like I'm a part of it all 🙏 very healing and insightful! One thought that especially connected with me is what Cindy said so beautifully at 1:04:36 about the simplicity of life, that we are all doing exactly what we're supposed to do in this lifetime and to not worry about things so much. I believe this wholeheartedly and it gave me immense comfort hearing it said out loud in such beautiful but simple words. I think it's so easy to get caught up comparing yourself with other people and feeling behind, that you're not doing enough, not accomplished enough - especially in this fast paced society with the social media and overload of information it can be difficult to find time to be with yourself and reflect on where your thoughts are running to if you're not careful - when in reality every single person has their own path to walk on and learn at their own pace. We are not lagging behind or running forward but exactly where we are supposed to be, learning what we are to learn at the right time for us. 💜

I love being in the crone stage, i am through menopause now thank goodness as it was a very rocky 14yrs. Age brings wisdom because of lifes experiences but my big awakening was when i lost my father 16yrs ago so 2 yrs before i started menopause and i felt very much in the crone stage then, there is a sense of freedom and peace within ourself i feel once we reach this point in life. So many are afraid of death but i believe is is such a sacred time, i recently lost my mother and never left her till i had to, the beings i saw around mum just before she passed were absolutely incredible, i have never seen anything so incredibly beautiful and i will never forget those moments, her pillow lit up and lights of purple and green almost like the northern lights surrounded her plus gold sparkly beings and bright white beams coming from the ceiling it was incredible the way she was being held and the love that was surrounding her until she was ready. To hold her and be there with her was such a privilage and honour, she rained down coins as i left to show she was ok and i will treasure those forever, i have never feared death but this made me see just how beautiful it can be when you finally surrender and i hope this gives a little reassurance to others. I love to semi hibernate in winter, i love the slow pace, the tree skeletons against a frosty sky, chunky jumpers and the crunch of frozen earth beneath my feet. Your grandmother sounds wonderful, i never got to know mine and love to hear stories from others about theirs. So much more i could write here but i will stop otherwise you will have an essay haha, loved this session, thank you ladies ❤

I have been Maiden and Mother in my cycle of life, and after menopause, I also received a calling that has grown stronger inside me. I share spells, rituals, herbs and crystals and advice to help them get through every day struggles. I can really relate to Cali regarding the postive aspects of being a crone. I am in my 60s and although I struggle with health issues I have never felt more comfortable in myself. Also, I embrace the word 'crone'. We need to reclaim it as a positive word.😊

Having been raised by and large by my grandmother I was introduced to wise women early. I’m now a grandmother to a granddaughter and share my knowledge of nature and art with her. I went through menopause at around 51 and am so much more relaxed now 12 years on. There’s a freedom that comes from no longer being at child bearing age. I’m more like my teenage self in attitude now and also craving learning as I used to before life got in the way. Love your chat ladies! I’d like to add another stage of a woman’s life - Maga. Years ago I read a book titled ‘The Women’s Wheel of Life’ by Elizabeth Davis and Carol Leonard. In it, they point out that we live a lot longer than our forebears who were often mothers at 15 and dead by 45. We now have longer life expectancy - leaving us with many years between mother and Cronehood. Years that are often our most creative and prolific! I’m 61, post menopausal and while I’ve tried on the Crone crown, it just doesn’t feel right. It could be because my own mother is 95 and still with us - and she is the Crone in my life. Or maybe because I had 7 children and spent 33 years mothering and now feel it’s my time to create and grow and shine! I love my grandchildren dearly but am not ready to be a wise old grandma yet - instead I’m travelling, creating, learning and still growing! Whatever the case, Crone, for me, feels a while off yet and I shall continue to embrace Maga/Queen/Creatrix! PS the book is worth reading if its still available xx
Today I really felt my old croneness when one of the young witches in my coven said her five year old was dying to ask me questions that he never knew a grandmother witch before! Lol. So cute and such an honor to be the oldest.
Ohhhhh I love this so much. I’m not quite into my crone era if we go by what Ruby is saying which I believe too as I’ve just had my second baby at 40, 22 years after my first. So I’m still mothering. I just love the power in the stage of menopause and just the rising of incredible feminine archetypes. Well done ladies! I'm well past my maiden stage of life, and my baby 18 just moved out, so just at the end of my mother, on the cusp of crone. I feel like a maiden again in some ways and like a crone in others. I've gone back to school and stuided something i wanted to and now love. I am rediscovering myself or reinventing parts of me. It's an interesting time in my life as i go through mentally, physically, and spiritually changing. I have just discoved you all and have watched all the videos. i really loved this one, though. So, healing in ways so educational and relatable in others. Thank you

I do feel like a crone…for me it has to do with age, life experience and the wisdom I have gained. My learning is on going and always will be. I did not consider myself being a witch until a few years ago when I started to wake up to truth. At that point knowledge exploded! I love my life and I’ve never been happier. I never knew a human being could stand out in the snow ❄️ and melt it with just slippers and a nightshirt lol. I never grew up with my Grandmothers they lived in Europe many miles away. I feel we are all maiden, mother, and crone at the same time- it’s our whole self - my cancer moon in my 12th house made me in many ways mother to my own mother in much of my own childhood, even today she isn’t grandmother to my children (which is her loss :( ) so I rely on examples from mostly crones that my maiden needed to look to and in effect in some ways I fill the grandmother role for my children alongside the mother role, and still I am maiden learning . Our bodies may denote phases and our hearts wear their hard earned wisdoms, but our soul and spirit can embody each stage 💗 btw I feel like a lot of women who haven’t actually birthed children serve as mothers in ways so often to their sisters - thank you ladies 🙏🏽 you share a beautiful space ☺️

I have held the hands of many women as they passed and I have never experienced anything more honorable than sharing that. It is called death doula. Such a wonderful video. I became a crone in 2019. My youngest two children (twins) left for college and my father passed away. It really had nothing to do with menopause. I just very much entered a new era in my life. As with everything there is always a positive side and a negative side. How well you do is directly related to how well you process change. I wish I could attend Cali's event! It sounds amazing! Really enjoyed this, especially since coming into pre menopause. It's just not talked about like it's a big no no or something to be ashamed of. We need to talk of it more and share the symptoms of it as it can be very different for each of us. There's hardly any research done it by either so they not really helpful. ❤

Absolutely! It has felt like something to be feared and avoided in this anti ageing culture, however in recent years I feel its started to change. Perhaps I'm noticing it more as I've entered the peri menopause phase of my life. It is so important to share and talk about it. It's also so great to hear of women celebrating each other with croning ceremonies and sharing experiences. It is so important to connect with each other and respect that everyone has an individual experience. I hope you do find some helpful information. There are quite a few books on Crone and Hag phase by authors such as Sharon Blackie, Clarissa Pinkola Estes which may help and may lead you on to other books in this subject that may resonate. It definately is time for more understanding! 💚 Ayesha

Each person having a different experience too makes it hard to be ready. But your right there has been a shift and this whole aging thing is changing. Even some celebrity ladies are openly embracing the change. I'd rather embrace aging and body changes then trying to fight against it. Woman supporting woman like they used to before the burning times, that's what we need to teach other and prepare each other for what changes are coming ✨️
I'm an old soul myself and even though I'm in the mother stage (which I absolutely love and cherish, especially since I lost my first baby to miscarriage.) But lately really been feeling like a crone, even though I'm only 38 ❤

And while i really want to be able to say 'I am a crone' ive only been a practicing witch for just under 4 years, so i don't feel like ive had the experience yet to earn that title. You can absolutely claim that title! Number of years as a practicing witch doesn’t matter. I’m the same age as you and even though I’ve been a witch for decades doesn’t make me entitled to crone-hood any more than you. If you feel the crone energy…. You are already there. Blessed be sister 💚

I've been learning about the stages of menopause ( I'm early peri-menopause i think) recently and how the medical industry know very little and dismiss women. I too have always felt like an old soul and weirdly feel like the menopause is like coming home, ( if that makes sense?)

Wow! This video was amazing you lovely ladies. I have always been a bit behind in my life and like you Cindy, I always felt older than the kids around me when I was young. I couldn’t have children. I suffered from endometriosis for most of my adult life which took that choice away from me, although I could never see myself as a “Mum”, so I had already decided that I wouldn’t have children and then I found out I couldn’t so I guess I was being looked after in a way. But as you discussed in the video, there was a period where I grieved for this milestone and also the thought that I would never be a grandmother. However, I have 10 nieces and nephews and I absolutely love being their Aunty. Medically, I am classed as being perimenopausal but I haven’t had any symptoms for a long time so I feel in my body that I am through it and now officially a crone, 😊 although I feel like I have held this title for most of my life. I am finally at a stage in my life where I don’t feel I have to conform to what society expects of me and as a result, I am flying high and being authentically me. I am loving being in my 50s so much more than any other decade so far. The Witches Revival sounds amazing! I would love to have something similar here in Perth Australia. Maybe one day the Revival will be a global event… Thank you for all your words of wisdom. I was laughing and nodding along like I was sitting in the room with you all. I've been in menopause for about 4 years now and I have to admit to finding it very hard at first. I never thought I'd miss bleeding but I suddenly felt apart from and not part of something shared by women. I'm starting to come out the other side now and into an unexpectedly wonderful place.

What makes me feel like I'm a crone is my age and that I have gone through menopause. For me It's a right of passage. I'm going into the winter years of my life and I have wisdom that maybe women in their maiden and mother years have not experienced yet? I feel this is a very sacred time in my life and it's a time to honor myself and my life as well as others. Love you ladies it's always nice having coffee with you all.

I'm 63, and I've always resonated with the Crone, but I didn't feel I'd achieved it until I went 13 moons without bleeding.
I want to push back a bit against the idea that the physicality isn't important. Women's bodies have been discounted and disregarded so much and for so long that I think it's important to own the processes that are unique to women's bodies. Menarche, the menstrual cycle, the fertility cycle (ovulating woman, pregnant woman, lactating woman), and menopause are all physical processes that write deeply in our lives and our souls. We deserve to celebrate ourselves for weathering these transitions.

Funny how life works. This past weekend, I journeyed literally into the womb of our Great Mother (it was my first time caving). It was absolutely beautiful exploring underground. Afterwards I had a fire ceremony, giving myself permission to let go of past roles I held in this life so that I can step into the sacredness of the crone archetype. And then this video pops up in my recommended without having to search for it. It feels like confirmation that I am magical ❤

I love these long chat sessions where conversation just flows so naturally and you all share your experiences advice and wisdom I feel like I'm a part of it all 🙏 very healing and insightful! One thought that especially connected with me is what Cindy said so beautifully at 1:04:36 about the simplicity of life, that we are all doing exactly what we're supposed to do in this lifetime and to not worry about things so much. I believe this wholeheartedly and it gave me immense comfort hearing it said out loud in such beautiful but simple words.
I think it's so easy to get caught up comparing yourself with other people and feeling behind, that you're not doing enough, not accomplished enough - especially in this fast paced society with the social media and overload of information it can be difficult to find time to be with yourself and reflect on where your thoughts are running to if you're not careful - when in reality every single person has their own path to walk on and learn at their own pace. We are not lagging behind or running forward but exactly where we are supposed to be, learning what we are to learn at the right time for us. 💜

I love being in the crone stage, i am through menopause now thank goodness as it was a very rocky 14yrs. Age brings wisdom because of lifes experiences but my big awakening was when i lost my father 16yrs ago so 2 yrs before i started menopause and i felt very much in the crone stage then, there is a sense of freedom and peace within ourself i feel once we reach this point in life. So many are afraid of death but i believe is is such a sacred time, i recently lost my mother and never left her till i had to, the beings i saw around mum just before she passed were absolutely incredible, i have never seen anything so incredibly beautiful and i will never forget those moments, her pillow lit up and lights of purple and green almost like the northern lights surrounded her plus gold sparkly beings and bright white beams coming from the ceiling it was incredible the way she was being held and the love that was surrounding her until she was ready. To hold her and be there with her was such a privilage and honour, she rained down coins as i left to show she was ok and i will treasure those forever, i have never feared death but this made me see just how beautiful it can be when you finally surrender and i hope this gives a little reassurance to others. I love to semi hibernate in winter, i love the slow pace, the tree skeletons against a frosty sky, chunky jumpers and the crunch of frozen earth beneath my feet. Your grandmother sounds wonderful, i never got to know mine and love to hear stories from others about theirs. So much more i could write here but i will stop otherwise you will have an essay haha, loved this session, thank you ladies ❤

i just started menopause so i’m happy y’all are talking about this. i definitely feel like a crone. i’ve never had a baby either or even been pregnant, it’s sort of depressing but i have been a mother in my life also.

I have been Maiden and Mother in my cycle of life, and after menopause, I also received a calling that has grown stronger inside me. Now as Crone, I am thrilled and excited to have the time & energy to study & learn the wise woman ways to share & help the younger generation any way I can in this life. I share spells, rituals, herbs and crystals and advice to help them get through every day struggles. Magical practice is allowing me to celebrate this life as well as prepare in the most beautiful way for the inevitable passing of my loved ones, beloved pets, and myself. I can really relate to Cali regarding the postive aspects of being a crone. I am in my 60s and although I struggle with health issues I have never felt more comfortable in myself. Also, I embrace the word 'crone'. We need to reclaim it as a positive word.😊

Having been raised by and large by my grandmother I was introduced to wise women early. I’m now a grandmother to a granddaughter and share my knowledge of nature and art with her. I went through menopause at around 51 and am so much more relaxed now 12 years on. There’s a freedom that comes from no longer being at child bearing age. I’m more like my teenage self in attitude now and also craving learning as I used to before life got in the way. It’s definitely a subject that needs more sharing with others as all women go through it.” Connection with the sacredness of life”… such a beautiful quote

Love your chat ladies! I’d like to add another stage of a woman’s life - Maga. Years ago I read a book titled ‘The Women’s Wheel of Life’ by Elizabeth Davis and Carol Leonard. In it, they point out that we live a lot longer than our forebears who were often mothers at 15 and dead by 45. We now have longer life expectancy - leaving us with many years between mother and Cronehood. Years that are often our most creative and prolific!
I’m 61, post menopausal and while I’ve tried on the Crone crown, it just doesn’t feel right. It could be because my own mother is 95 and still with us - and she is the Crone in my life. Or maybe because I had 7 children and spent 33 years mothering and now feel it’s my time to create and grow and shine! I love my grandchildren dearly but am not ready to be a wise old grandma yet - instead I’m travelling, creating, learning and still growing! Whatever the case, Crone, for me, feels a while off yet and I shall continue to embrace Maga/Queen/Creatrix!
PS the book is worth reading if its still available xx

Ohhhhh I love this so much. I’m not quite into my crone era if we go by what Ruby is saying which I believe too as I’ve just had my second baby at 40, 22 years after my first. So I’m still mothering. I just love the power in the stage of menopause and just the rising of incredible feminine archetypes. Well done ladies! I'm well past my maiden stage of life, and my baby 18 just moved out, so just at the end of my mother, on the cusp of crone. I feel like a maiden again in some ways and like a crone in others. I've gone back to school and stuided something i wanted to and now love. I am rediscovering myself or reinventing parts of me. It's an interesting time in my life as i go through mentally, physically, and spiritually changing. I have just discoved you all and have watched all the videos. i really loved this one, though. So, healing in ways so educational and relatable in others. Thank you

I never knew a human being could stand out in the snow ❄️ and melt it with just slippers and a nightshirt lol. I never grew up with my Grandmothers they lived in Europe many miles away. I feel we are all maiden, mother, and crone at the same time- it’s our whole self - my cancer moon in my 12th house made me in many ways mother to my own mother in much of my own childhood, even today she isn’t grandmother to my children (which is her loss :( ) so I rely on examples from mostly crones that my maiden needed to look to and in effect in some ways I fill the grandmother role for my children alongside the mother role, and still I am maiden learning . Our bodies may denote phases and our hearts wear their hard earned wisdoms, but our soul and spirit can embody each stage 💗 btw I feel like a lot of women who haven’t actually birthed children serve as mothers in ways so often to their sisters - thank you ladies 🙏🏽 you share a beautiful space ☺️

I have held the hands of many women as they passed and I have never experienced anything more honorable than sharing that. It is called death doula. Such a wonderful video. I became a crone in 2019. My youngest two children (twins) left for college and my father passed away. It really had nothing to do with menopause. I just very much entered a new era in my life. As with everything there is always a positive side and a negative side. How well you do is directly related to how well you process change. I wish I could attend Cali's event! It sounds amazing! Really enjoyed this, especially since coming into pre menopause. It's just not talked about like it's a big no no or something to be ashamed of. We need to talk of it more and share the symptoms of it as it can be very different for each of us. There's hardly any research done it by either so they not really helpful. ❤

Absolutely! It has felt like something to be feared and avoided in this anti ageing culture, however in recent years I feel its started to change. Perhaps I'm noticing it more as I've entered the peri menopause phase of my life.
It is so important to share and talk about it. It's also so great to hear of women celebrating each other with croning ceremonies and sharing experiences. It is so important to connect with each other and respect that everyone has an individual experience. I hope you do find some helpful information. There are quite a few books on Crone and Hag phase by authors such as Sharon Blackie, Clarissa Pinkola Estes which may help and may lead you on to other books in this subject that may resonate. It definately is time for more understanding! 💚 Ayesha

@darkrainbowmoonstone9998 ooh thanks for the book recommendations I'll definitely seek those out. Iv had bits of info here and there but not enough to get you ready for it. Each person having a different experience too makes it hard to be ready. But your right there has been a shift and this whole aging thing is changing. Even some celebrity ladies are openly embracing the change. I'd rather embrace aging and body changes then trying to fight against it. Woman supporting woman like they used to before the burning times, that's what we need to teach other and prepare each other for what changes are coming ✨️
I'm an old soul myself and even though I'm in the mother stage (which I absolutely love and cherish, especially since I lost my first baby to miscarriage.) But lately really been feeling like a crone, even though I'm only 38 ❤
I truly enjoyed this talk, just lovely. I'm 49, you touched on topics that I have been pondering lately.

Love this discussion so much! So many great points raised. I have a question though. Im 52, mother and grandmother, going through menopause. And while i really want to be able to say 'I am a crone' ive only been a practicing witch for just under 4 years, so i don't feel like ive had the experience yet to earn that title. I would love to know your thoughts on this ❤
You can absolutely claim that title! Number of years as a practicing witch doesn’t matter. I’m the same age as you and even though I’ve been a witch for decades doesn’t make me entitled to crone-hood any more than you. If you feel the crone energy…. You are already there. Blessed be sister 💚

I've been learning about the stages of menopause ( I'm early peri-menopause i think) recently and how the medical industry know very little and dismiss women. I too have always felt like an old soul and weirdly feel like the menopause is like coming home, ( if that makes sense?)

Wow! This video was amazing you lovely ladies. I have always been a bit behind in my life and like you Cindy, I always felt older than the kids around me when I was young. I couldn’t have children. I suffered from endometriosis for most of my adult life which took that choice away from me, although I could never see myself as a “Mum”, so I had already decided that I wouldn’t have children and then I found out I couldn’t so I guess I was being looked after in a way. But as you discussed in the video, there was a period where I grieved for this milestone and also the thought that I would never be a grandmother. However, I have 10 nieces and nephews and I absolutely love being their Aunty. Medically, I am classed as being perimenopausal but I haven’t had any symptoms for a long time so I feel in my body that I am through it and now officially a crone, 😊 although I feel like I have held this title for most of my life. I am finally at a stage in my life where I don’t feel I have to conform to what society expects of me and as a result, I am flying high and being authentically me. I am loving being in my 50s so much more than any other decade so far. The Witches Revival sounds amazing! I would love to have something similar here in Perth Australia. Maybe one day the Revival will be a global event… Thank you for all your words of wisdom. I was laughing and nodding along like I was sitting in the room with you all. It was such a lovely way to start my Sunday. Bountiful blessings to you all. ❤
