I like what S Man said that the devs are very inexperienced with gameplay in terms of enemies, level design and combat however this is a very strong start for a studio and the artstyle is beautiful, this will age like Bioshock. I hope they don't stagnate.
I freakin love this game. So unique, great creative and art direction. The only thing I really didn't like - how many times the protagonist says "crispy critters"... and I can handle that.
While playing it I was feeling a hit of nostalgia that was hard to place, it took a a few hours, but eventually I realized that it very much reminded me of the early Xbox 360/PS3 days when we were getting stuff like Timeshift, Resistance: Fall of man and other weird shooters, when thatt would be standard was really just starting to be solidified by stuff like CoD but they were still throwing weirder stuff out on occasion.
We need these weirder games and deviation from this AAA system that churns out all these titles that are so similar. I know it’s not that simple but a man can dream.
Another fantastic video my friend. I appreciate your nuanced and unique perspective. Please, please, please keep these up. Your voice in the space is needed!
oh my god, I hate critic reviews. You can't trust them. Games people absolutly despise somehow get perfect scores. critics don't know what the people like.
@@AfterLiveAnalysis life has been going alright. Very busy with college and some other things have occupied at the moment. I'm very close to 300 subs. When I can get my homework under control I will start making content again. Really liked the political videos I was making. felt like I was doing the lords work and I just felt more alive. I even started posting them to rumble to try and gain an audience there. I also finished breaking bad, el camino, and better call saul. Such great works of art! I loved every second of them. JESSE!!!!!
@@AfterLiveAnalysis Could be a nice change of pace. There's something I need to do in a couple of months before I can even consider a debate stream. But it does sound nice. One day in the future I will take you up on that.
I think the reason these people hated the game is because you have to try to play it. People love their interactive movies and brainless games where you can truck through without trying and those games in itself is bad for the current state of gaming. It's why a lot of zombies "fans" love maps like Kino or Buried where things are gifted to you or the map is just a mindless pick-up and play while they hate maps like Dead of the Night or Blood of the Dead where you have to put some effort into the map to enjoy it. Overall, amazing review as power usual, nice work putting in the actual effort to understand the game rather than making a negative review for the sake of it.
It really makes me sad that people don't want to put in more effort bc it makes hard-core fans not as pleased. However, I do understand sometimes bc there are games I just wanna play quickly and not worry about getting invested. I'm sure there are zombies players out there who feel that way too, the issue is one group has to be left behind. That's how it works. You can't have mind numbing simplicity and giga Chad brain high iq content existing in the same sphere.
@Skeptix yeah true, but people don't need to be pros or hard-core fans, just throw enough time into it to get a grasp of some things instead of making assumptions based off of a tad bit of game play Also, I understand that too, I like my Kinos and what not as well, I just don't think it's something that should only take place, it's archaic and honestly boring in the long run, a balance is what's needed, the problem is they don't want that for whatever reason. Black ops 2s system to me was perfect if you don't account for chronicles.
I play shooters, the cgi and game play is fun and interesting BUT some of the BOSSES are impossible even with all the weapons. I doubt YOU beat the CUSCH
I'm not sure what you're responding to in the video. And i looked up the boss online, and I don't see anything called a Cusch. But maybe I'm not sure. I didn't play the DLC either.
the blood beast! (What that in the , be careful its a CUSCH very dangerous.) I have one thing I have't tried, take all the drugs I can (polymers) and see if that works, I also owned PREY and its the same, an impossible monster, I am sure there are probably weapons but I don't have it and I have done a BUNCH of exploring! rebuilding the robot levels. If you really played the game? YOU WOULD KNOW THIS MONSTER , FAST streching arms, you can cut, hack, shoot it a hundred times and no damage!
I really kinda hoped they opted for a silent Protagonist. This seems like the type of game that tells it's Story by showing us the World, not through Dialogue

I haven’t watched his review. I’m ab to rn. I try to hold off until after my amazing 10/10 perfect reviews are done.
