I caught a big 22” rainbow at Lake Merwin, I was super excited to open up the stomach cause it looked like it had a giant crawdad in there. I opened it up and it was about a 3” pinecone 😂…I thought I was the only one who caught a trout with a whole pinecone in the stomach. Glad to hear the term “earthy” coming back in your episodes but would really love to hear “earthy undertones” that’s my favorite saying followed by….FISH ON BABY!

I want to thank you so much for these videos. My father is completely blind, but has really good hearing. I’m not sure how he found your channel, but he listens to them almost everyday. My dad said the sounds you capture and how descriptive you are is amazing. The best thing about you is how you enjoy every bit of nature, from nature gifting you sweet berries to you enjoy that fish at the end. You appreciate every thing you witness while camping and that right there is true passion. Great man! Keep up the good work.

Dude. I’ve been deathly sick and finally recovering from hyperemesis and your videos have honestly really saved me. I’m 20 year old living in a suburban neighborhood and watching your videos makes me want to move and do this stuff everyday. This is really a dream of mine to do what your doing and I just wanted to say thanks for sharing your amazing experiences of life and nature. There’s only stocked trout ponds/farms around me but I’m gonna start there and eventually get to where your at! Caught my first trout today! Gonna make your famous trout tacos tonight man. Those suckers are pretty hard to hook but I got two good size keepers for tonight. Took a lot of your tips and really let them eat that worm to get it set right. Both sets I got them near the top of there head which I didn’t really like. Should I set the hook in a certain direction like left or right? My natural reaction is to pull up when I set and it just made me feel bad for the fish that I basically stabbed him through the head (more near the nose area). Even though their stocked fish it definitely helps with me learning for sure. Those rivers and streams are slowly calling my name!

yes, I would like to see more epic mountain trout fishing at this or other mountain lakes. I love this stuff. that giant trout attacking the bobber was amazing!
Always pack a 1 gallon zip-loc bag.; light weight, no space. Use it to pack yer fish ;) ..... or hold huckleberries (or other foraged goodies) and/or pack out trash. Or keep yer smokes dry in the rain! Cheers!

I accidentally stumbled upon this video, but I'm really glad that I did. Very inspirational, and educational as well. I love to hike, but always wondered what it would be like to hike a mountain, rather than my small lake trails. And now I wanna go fishing. I'm actually gonna go grab my equipment from my storage unit now lol.
I watch a lot of fishing channels but this one is by far the best. No big huge fancy boats or electric fishing rods. This is what an adventure should me. Great video like always. 🤙🤘👊

Man this literally my dream. Been getting into creek exploring lately and hopefully trout fishing. Hard for me to try and go out and hike and camp in remote places because I am a type one diabetic but I will get the courage to do it eventually. To be able to see how beautiful these places are is amazing. Thank you!
