Thank you. Sometimes people don't make certain videos because they think that it's too easy or too obvious. But this was very useful since I never owned one before. Thanks again
I was already thinking of this when she said "now you can use your torch for jewelry, etc." but in the back of my mind I was thinking "or taking fat dabs" lol 😂
You have to burp the torch first by pressing down on the filler tip with the end of an ink pen or something pointy. Then wait till the hissing sound stops when all the air is emptied out of the tank. You will get more butane in the tank this way. You should wait about 5-10 minutes before using the torch so you don't blow the seals in the torch. Thanks for reading ...Brenda M-COQUILLE, OREGON
How do you know if you’ve blown the seals in the torch? I filled mine for the first time and i ignited the flame. I saw a small one and it went away. Now i keep trying to turn it on and it won’t. I also tried removing the butane as you suggested and nothing happens
@jessicacanales9808 yeah there made in China, garbage now ..send it back if it's new ..I'm trying to remember where I ordered mine , master appliance comes to memory ? Irritates me to no end when I buy something and it's junk , right from the beginning ? Its becoming common also ?
“Whether you’re using the torch for melting the end of metal wire, or taking fat dabz with your boys, this is by far the best way to fill a butane torch. One love fam.”
@trekranger They generally get up into the 2000°F range. Some torches get slightly hotter than others, but the bigger ones put out a more powerful flame, and they hold more fuel. Each manufacturer lists the specs for their particular product.
@trekranger It depends on the type of solder you're using. The manufacturer should be able to tell you the temperature at which the solder melts when you buy the product.
Thanks Art Jewelru - I was wondering how to tell when it was full! Your description of sputtering was perfect. Also, I noticed that as you fill it, the tone changes - and the cylinder gets icy cold! Thanks again!
what about the MT-51 itself, does it have to be closed? other brands like master ultratane butane fuel comes with the regular white cap, but there is also a little red tip type cap.......good tip though about liquifying telling you the torch tank is full.
could you comment on whether the butane one uses must be pressurized using the nozzle delivery as you demonstrated, or if the nonpressurized, liquid lighter fluid works as well? thanks
So, what kind of mileage can you get out of a butane torch refill canister (e.g. roughly how many hours of overall use before the canister is used up)....?
Butane evaporates almost immediately, virtually no cleanup is involved. It varies on the size of the torch, but it takes me about 5 seconds to fill mine. Butane is pretty safe because of how quickly it evaporates, just keep the can out of the sun and away from sources of heat, especially when refilling.
Everybody listen up because you might’ve missed it at the beginning. Make sure you take the cap off of your butane!!! secondly if you really need someone to explain this slowly and ridiculously how to put a flammable liquid into a lighter because you couldn’t figure that out yourself then don’t use the torch at all unless you wanna just be on fire enjoy bon appétit
Personally... I'd like more information that you CAN'T get from the can. How long does it take for a tank on one of those little torches to fill completely from empty? Is the video representative of this time, or is it shorter because it's a demonstration? Can you tell the difference between a full tank and letting your fill tank lean a little by accident? Does the butane disperse quickly, or is there cleanup involved? What safety and/or cleanup tips do you have in case butane spray?
Pissed that she doesn't show the label of the butane fuel. I've been driving around everywhere looking for butane for my torch but now I have Coleman butane fuel that won't even fill my torches
Yeah this bitch cappin I’m just tryna do some dabs n she’s tryna get some views 🤦♂️ me n her we not the same she can’t fill a torch or put a belt on right🤣💀 I can’t fill my torch or smoke my dabs I’m saudy asf
Thank you - I was just ripped off by Rio Grande for a torch like this one. I had not finalized the sale when I canceled and they sent it anyway and charged $110 for it. I am so furious.., They sent tit without any instructions and said it cannot be returned because it is hazardous material. I have purchased numerous jewelry supplies from this company for many years now but lately their service has been appalling and where I used to just click on a button because I am a member - It is a nightmare to even get onto the site to find out how to fill the torch.
Only real piece of information here was how to determine when the torch is full... What I'm looking is to find a refill nozzle or seal that won't let gasses escape. Frankly, I'm amazed how something this bad is still being used as an industry standard. Some refill cans have nozzles that let only modest amounts escape, some have horrible (yes, I know all about the adapters...) that let dangerous amounts of it out. All I find is instructions like this, teaching the obvious, but neglecting the stuff that is not so obvious (assuming that there are tricks to avoid excessive leakage). Why on earth isn't there a small rubber ring on the bottom of the receptacle, at least? But frankly, something much better should be adopted by now... Well, thank's for the tip on how to tell when the torch is full again.
Do not, I repeat, do not buy regular butane from the store for this. You need refined butane or your torch will gunk up and be rendered useless in no time.
+samual stein Buy some refined butane and run it through the torch after it's empty. I bought some 5x refined and before the fill was half empty my torch was running a lot better. Now I don't notice any difference in the way it works than when it was new.
samual stein I had to get a replacement. I physically unclogged it and ran higher refined butane through the malfunctioning torch I had, with no success. New torch, refined butane (min x5) and avoid over filling (I was told this can cause the same malfunction)
Regular butane is fine for your average butane cigarette/cigar lighter but for torches like this _always_ used _refined_ butane because it prevents gunk buildup which you are definitely NOT going to like. I speak from experience.
ut000bs Mine won't work at all, its flame is like a giant lighter's (no blue sharp flame) I am hoping it is the fuel... I am using regular lighter butane
damok9999 Find some refined butane (5x or higher) and empty your torch and run that refined through it. You should see gradual improvement over a little bit of time...maybe 2 fillings or so. The refined will actually clean the deposits since no new is occurring. This is exactly what happened to me and how I fixed it. You may have to go to a hardware store or similar. I've never found refined butane at places like Walmart, etc.
ut000bs nice to know it may clean the deposits, though i got a cheap torch specifically to familiarize myself with them, i'll have to step up eventually anyway, thanks for the tip
Thanks I thought I was refueling my torch wrong since it was pouring out, now I know its cause it was full lol it's funny how most of the comments are about dabs lol dab time ! Cheers !
EEEEWWWWW, not Ronsonol... Doesn't that stuff smell like rotten urine, anyway? Refined isn't much more expensive and doesn't have a smell ;) Really, though, what was the point of covering up the name, but not the most ubiquitous butane logo on the planet??
420squeeg Refined butane also doesn't gunk up your torch and cause sputtering or a weak flame. All torch manufacturers suggest using refined butane for those reasons and, believe me I speak from experience, you should use refined.
Thank you. Sometimes people don't make certain videos because they think that it's too easy or too obvious.
But this was very useful since I never owned one before.
Thanks again
Thanks! Now it's time for some dabs lol👍

Thanks for a good video. You are the only one who mentioned how to tell when the filling is done.
“Whether you’re using the torch for melting the end of metal wire, or taking fat dabz with your boys, this is by far the best way to fill a butane torch. One love fam.”
of you you fucking around with the shenanigans and you finna fire up and hit the dabs
I like how her belt isn't on; Great style
who has time for belt loops after all ha
so I wasn't the only one who noticed that damn belt out of the rings...
Thank you, I was not holding it upside down. Very good instructional video.
I worried I used too much pressure when I tried to fill it, because it was leaking out the nozzle and dribbling gas all over the torch.
u missed every belt loop
Lmfao. Damn sure did
Was coming here hoping I wasn't the only one who noticed
Wow.
Roflmfao I thought I was just high 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Can you use a butane gas cartridge to refill? Not sure if there's any difference
Thanks, I just bought for kitchen purpose especially for creme brûlée. I will buy butane now. Thanks again for demo.
could you comment on whether the butane one uses must be pressurized using the nozzle delivery as you demonstrated, or if the nonpressurized, liquid lighter fluid works as well? thanks
everytime i refill the butane can leaks as im filling it i can never seem to fill up my torch correctly what im i doing wrong? i have a newport torch
thanks for the help jill erikson
So, what kind of mileage can you get out of a butane torch refill canister (e.g. roughly how many hours of overall use before the canister is used up)....?
Thank you Jill. - I also wanted to let you know that you skipped a few belt loops. Thanks again!
When I do this the canister's nozzle leaks at its base. I don't get it.
That means it’s full big dawg
@@YimmyYames513 nope. Torch gives small flame, and dies after 10 seconds. The butane is barely getting in there. I think my canister is defective.
do all butane torches heat the same way (heat wise) do some get hotter than others?
OMG...My new torch wasn't filling or working because I wasn't holding it upside down! lol...Some days, right? Thanks for the vid.
I feel better knowing I wasn't alone
Does anyone know where I can get new tips/points for my RONSON Tech Torch... Thanks for your time.
This came in handy when I needed to know how to refill my creme brule kitchen torch. I had thrown away the box with directions on how to refill it.
I love how everyone who watched this came for the same reason I did 😀
God bless you because our salesman told us not to turn it upside down and it wasn't filling up.
Anti belt-loop?
😂😂😂😂
+Shane How can you tell? The bottom of the belt loop is not visible.
When I try to fill mine, the gas sputters everywhere and leaks. Idk what the issue is. It's not happening bc I'm overfilling it :(
Thank you so much!!! Just the video I was looking for!
I'm getting a butane torch for cooking. Thank you!
yo do i need butane fluid or any zippo lighter fluid?
@artjewelrymag so at what temp does hard solder start to melt?
You can get more in easier if you take a pen and push the valve for a few seconds to release some air pressure in the empty torch.
Butane evaporates almost immediately, virtually no cleanup is involved. It varies on the size of the torch, but it takes me about 5 seconds to fill mine. Jill your belt is not in your belt loops, any reason
thank you!! simple and effective
When was this filmed lol
you've heard that belts go in belt loops, right? 80's bongo
many thanks it was very use full and i did it.
I couldnt understand why it kept spraying back i guess it was full lol these things really dont hold much fuel gotta refill it constantly
I have done all of that crap and it stills does NOT refill.
Did it work yet?
