Holla at me,and madd props to the annointed young lions and Raymond the current superstar

This is an awesome series! I wish there was more! Does Raymond own the school they were training at?

+Jalyn Croft Hi Jalyn, no the dojo is owned by Colin & Tara Van Deusen. I believe Raymond has opened a dojo with Steve Horst in Orange, CA now

@1JHorowitz Ross can fight man, give him his respect. I feel you about the head gear...I'm old skool and prefer zero head gear. But at the same time? I can see how it makes sense to ensure that you take as little damage as possible that will build up on you as you get older. Why have missing teeth if you don't need to? With that said...I think Raymond has the experience edge on Ross and will take it to him in a good hard fight. Props to both men.

If I ever have to fight the kid in the blue I'll do it on a hill. Shit my legs still hurt thinking about it

@1JHorowitz With that being said,I heard that Ross won his match against Raymond (even though I heard there was some controversy) and I think that Raymond should and will get a rematch vs Ross. If Ross doesn't choose to compete in other aspects of sport combat, that's his choice. If Raymond does? More props to him.I think we should give Raymond MORE PROPS for competing in riskier combat sports rather than subtract props from Ross for staying in pointfighting.Just my opinion on that.

@1JHorowitz Two last things: despite our disagreement in areas of pointfighting,we appear to overall agree more than disagree about martial arts, sports combat, quality training, and Raymond Daniels.Lastly regarding the MMA and the backfist? You realize that the SPINNING BACKFIST is in fact a backfist,so...yes the backfist is a very much utilized part of MMA since the heyday of Shonie Carter.

@1JHorowitz I'm going to have to disagree with that, man. Have you seen Daido Juku? They rock head gear but they include head butts and many techs from MMA and kyokushin.Plus I've seen plenty KO's in point fighting,so while I agree that the rule set is restrictive in areas,it's inclusive of K.O. force and creativity. There ARE trenches in pontfighting, they're just not the same as the trenches of say Judo or Daido Juku. Good pointifghters are good at what they do,so I respect that in them.

@1JHorowitz Idk which "Nasty" you're referring to,but the REAL "Nasty"--Steve Nasty Anderson who used to roll with Chicken Gabrielle and fought guys like Billy Blanks back in the 80's--never said that to me in any of the numerous convos we used to have back in the day.In fact? He used the backfist to devastating effect.I've used The California Blitz on the street,TKO'ing and/or dropping 90% of the people I hit.Sir,MMA is excellent sports combat, not the litmus test for real skill.

@1JHorowitz Point fighting has some drawbacks and some very good points.Check youtube, there's tons of TKOs in pointfighting,so you're factually wrong about that.Furthermore, pointfighting is what 95% of the martial public does when they actually "fight",so their perception of it isn't too bad.And you're way wrong about the backfist. I've dropped people with it.There's a video of a cop TKO'ing a pimp with it on this YT.
