That's funny, I saw you at that gas station, just didn't want to interrupt you XD I miss my gazelle tent, which looks just like that. I switched to a Rooftop and do enjoy that, but I definitely miss having a nice little space to hang out in at ground level. If only the gazelle packed up tighter (shorter, really) Glad you got home well!
We’ll dig into full details in a future video, short answer is, “Baby.” As for fuel economy. I typically got 18mph and on this trip I got 19.5mpg. So yeah, better, but not like write home about.
Curious what the difference is between the Roam and the Gazelle T-4. I've been running the T-4 for about 4 years now and it's been phenomenal, but the teardown time can be annoying. My Tazer JL is hit-and-miss at stopping both 3-Honk and auto-park. It only seems to work when it wants to. Hope yours is better in that regard.
I think they are basically the same. Almost all of these style of tents are, much like any of the rooftop tents, It'll all a borrowed design from the Ice Fishing Industry.
@@JustinBMcBride I prefer the T-4 over the Shift Pod by leaps and bounds, but that Roam looks like an exact clone of the Gazelle. RTTs are super appealing, but I love the space of the T-4, and that going up and down the ladder 3x a night would get old fast.
Overland(ish) makes a great version as well and I like their footprint better than the Roam's just because of it's larger size so you have a "porch" style area. But for the price of the Roam I'd choose it.
I have the Gazelle and am a fan.... BUT. it looks like the Roam fixes one problem I have with the Gazelle. It looks like the ceiling can be zipped up for better insulation. The Gazelle is mesh top only, and you have to put the rain top to get some sort of insulation--not great. I was wondering why Justin was bothering with the heater without the rain top, and I saw it was closed up top.

The Logandale trails are so awesome! Is that your first time out there? Love the Vlog. 👊🏼💯
I usually make it out there every year around SEMA, but the last few years I’ve flown to SEMA.
Hi Justin. Hey, why did you take off the camper? Getting better gas mileage now?

Wheres the camper!?
Super cool, nice vid dude! Ngl, you gave me some ideas for my setup >_
Did someone get a baby bronco? Future content?
Someone did… but that someone won’t let me do overland things to it. 😢
@ well congrats to them! They’re good looking vehicles and plenty capable right out of the box.
