- Well, another week has past and it's about time I did another tool review as that's what you seem to want to see. This week it is the turn of the Vacmaster VQ1220PFC.

Thanks for the video! It really drew people in, I can see. I guess we're just weird and like shop vacs 😊
I bought an even smaller (12 l) wet/dry 1000 W for next to nothing. It's surprisingly aggressive, but at first it couldn't suck up anything. It turned out the top was just attached plastic to plastic to the bottom and all the air was sucked in that way! So I glued up some old bicycle tube and used it as a gasket. It works perfectly now! I also made a diffuser for the exit hole so it doesn't blow me or itself over (it's like a jet engine!). It works (kinda) and also reduces the noise a bit. It wasn't bad (about 75 dB like yours), but now it's better. The diffuser is a pipe with holes in and some foam inside (like the foam that came in the bottom of yours) and a lid to close the end off. Really funny project to mock about with 😃
(The lamp! The lamp! The lamp I'm not allowed to mention, so I won't ... Sorry ... Glad that it's all better in the new video!)
Sssh the lamp has gone! 🤫
Thank you for the video.
Here is what I want to ask you about.
Can I just use it without the dust bag??
Hi. I have never used it with a dust bag. I have an update video coming soon about the vac so don’t forget to check that out.
How did you put the clip on bottom 12:30 in the vid
My old Hoover wet and dry just packed up , need a replacement as powerful , the hoover would pick up nails screws and reasonable size debris , plaster etc. Do you reckon this is powerful enough to do same job ?
I’ve not had any complaints about it, to be honest. My best advise would be to check the power rating vs your older machine.
Good product breakdown!
Cheers. I've used this for a while now and it's amazing. So please with it for the price.
Quick question , do you recommend it please.
If you remember it’s a vacuum cleaner and not a dust extraction system. Then yes. I’ve been very happy with mine. It’s been abused and come out fighting each time. The attachments could be better but the main unit has worked well for me. I did do a follow up review video in case you haven’t seen it yet.
@@LittleShedBigIdeas yes ive just seen that video thanks. I only want to use it in conjunction with my plunge saw really so would ask if you feel it would be worth buying for that reason.
Yeah I would say it would work with that. I used it with a sander and worked well.
@@LittleShedBigIdeas Brilliant, and thanks for taking the time to reply 👍
Hi, what's the purpose of that black foam sleeve? Can I use the vacuum without that foam sleeve for dry vacuum?
Hi. Yep 100%. I’ve used mine for wet and dry and never added it on.
is it possible to fit smaller filter ? I have seen this vacum and its greate but the filter is way too big for that size of vaccum and it takes too much space inside the tube
To be honest I don’t know. I have just replaced my filter but I went like for like.
Can clean sofa wet with this vacuum
Sadly not. The wrong type of wet vac.
I have found the instructions to be usless... and 0 explaination on setting it to suck water... any help would be appreciated lol
I can’t say I’ve used it for water yet. All I know is you need to mess around with the filter etc.
