I have one…. The only note of caution is that mine failed after 3 weeks and you have to pay yourself to send laptop to Hong Kong for warranty repairs…. For the 3 weeks it worked it was quite good
I got this one. My reason for picking it is not one 99% of people would use. I had previously purchased a narrow and small biker's backpack - which would also be perfect for jogging - and I wanted computing power with me when I needed it on the fly. The zipper opening on this backpack is exactly 6.5" wide and this mini-laptop just happens to also be exactly 6.5" high. This was the only laptop I could find at that height. Beside that, I went into this with the agenda to replace the NVMe stick inside with a blank one and install a version of Linux on it. If you're also one of those who want to do that - you're in for a nasty surprise - when you finish your install, everything will be rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise. You're whole experience from pressing the power button until you log onto your desktop will be side ways!!! You'll have to spend quite a few days researching online what more advanced Linux users did to fix that - by editing system files. I finally got everything flowing right-side up.
One other very odd thing about this device - it has a BIOS program (that you can switch into at start up) with the least amount of options to choose from that I've ever seen to allow you to tweak the system. On CHUWI's website another person asked a rep if they would be releasing an update for it with more choices to tweak things and rep gave two odd answers 1. No and 2. We don't actually make this device. - and he wouldn't reveal who really does.
In Linux, you'll have to do some system file editing on an app called "xrandr" to achieve the same results as that Custom Resolution Utility for Windows users.
Regardless, If you're sticking with Windows, it's a decent performer (for the type of CPU it has) and has a very solid body build quality - when closed, both top and bottom are metal while the middle is made of simulated metal hard plastic. One extra item - a personal quirk - I purchased an official "intel Inside" sticker. The one with the multi-colored holographic sparkling edge trim to replace the one on this. This one looks so lame and low budget - it's embarrassing.
This seems like a reasonable choice for those of us who work from home or from a beach cafe while sipping cocktails... LOL
Joking aside, a really capable little laptop and I see how you managed to run some games like Portal without any problems, it reminds me of some good times, all in all thanks for the review, I enjoyed it.
Got me one and apart from the limited endurance under battery, it’s a nifty little portable machine. I can even play Fallout 4 on it.
Be careful to shop this Minibook X. Its battery runs only 3 hours and I found that there is no way to return it if you get one form Chuwi's US store online.
I have to buy one of these for my wife, I see they also have a pink option, cool. 😍
Pozdrav Ivančici!
I would like to have one after watching your review. Is this laptop supports stylus such as surface pen?

Have you tested bluetooth headphones, is there audio delay watching video? Are the speakers ok?
Got one, it worked for 1 month the it wouldn’t turn on anymore.
Had to send back to china at my expense, it was battery failure and they have replaced the whole laptop
Hopefully it won’t happen again
I like the form factor, but I don't trust the company/brand. I wish other brand would manufacture this.
So far so good, my wife has continued to use it. Yes, it's completely clear to me that maybe you don't trust the new brand, but for that money you can't find anything like it, on the other hand, although it may not be visible in the video, the quality of production is top notch, at the level of far more expensive competition. I recently bought a kid a gaming laptop of a well-known brand for 1500 euros and it turned out to be ordinary plastic garbage... What I wanted to say is that the price does not always determine the quality...
Chuwi never disappointed me
why would you get this instead of a second hand Macbook air 11.6 e.g. from 2015 or a Macbook (12 inch )?
There is no comparison between the old Mac Book 9 years old and this new 2024 laptop, after all I am used to Windows and this laptop seems to me to be a better choice...
Macbook doesn't have 360 hinge and no touchscreen.
Какой он малюсенький. Очень удобно наверно с собой брать.
Да, он безусловно очень практичен и имеет хорошие характеристики, моя рекомендация к покупке.
Looks really cool, but why is it so cheap, what's the catch?
the catch is not cheap, I watch and want it but bigger laptop with better cpu/gpu are priced the same. so I am still confused what to buy lol
@@chibonchibon3967 Well, I have a large 17-inch laptop and I'm really tired of lugging it around, this little Chuwi seems like a good solution, and I could even carry it in my jacket pocket.
@@chibonchibon3967You're supposed to compare it to laptops with similar form factors (360 folding) like Lenovo Yogas and also have a screen that supports stylus input.
Intel Celeron.
@@chibonchibon3967 I have a big 17 inch laptop and I'm tired of carrying it around... This one could even fit in a jacket pocket-
4hrs of battery if you use it with the charger cinnecred
Should bee infinite hours with charger connected. Unless the charger is so lame that it can't keep up with power draw
@@alexanderwhite8320 i hope you get what i meant. But yeah you are right
Lol
