Lyrics:
Nobody feels any pain
Tonight as I stand inside the rain
Ev’rybody knows
That Baby’s got new clothes
But lately I see her ribbons and her bows
Have fallen from her curls
She takes just like a woman, yes, she does
She makes love just like a woman, yes, she does
And she aches just like a woman
But she breaks just like a little girl
Queen Mary
She’s my friend
Yes, I believe I’ll go see her again
Nobody has to guess
That Baby can’t be blessed
Till she sees finally that she’s like all the rest
With her fog, her amphetamine and her pearls
She takes just like a woman, yes
She makes love just like a woman, yes, she does
And she aches just like a woman
But she breaks just like a little girl
It was raining from the first
And I was dying there of thirst
So I came in here
And your long-time curse hurts
But what’s worse
Is this pain in here
I can’t stay in here
Ain’t it clear that
I just can’t fit
Yes, I believe it’s time for us to quit
But when we meet again
Introduced as friends
Please don’t let on that you knew me when
I was hungry and it was your world
Ah, you fake just like a woman, yes, you do
You make love just like a woman, yes, you do
Then you ache just like a woman
But you break just like a little girl

This guy’s ability to phrase each word, the way he pauses and stretches and slurs, is spectacular. They say he has a terrible voice, but when he sings his stuff he’s on fire in ways only he can be. And then he shares all this with anyone who wants to listen. No pretensions. Just him.
His words perfect for his voice he is a one off we were fortunate to have him in our lifetime. stay strong Mr Zimmerman. Peace Dublin Ireland 😜😜😜😜
Yes, try singing this song karaoke-style to one of the youtube instrumental tracks and see how difficult it is to match his performance.
Well said
And the amount of incredible songs like this one he wrote is just ....unbelievable.
😊
One of the greatest song writers of our time.
THE greatest song writer of our time!!!
To both Wolfgang and Abdul:
We agree. 👍
🇬🇧without doubt, one of the most beautiful songs ever written & sung.
Hello dear, it’s nice meeting you on here
Jeff Buckley really took this song and fucking nailed it.

Ah, the deficient harmonica work. That tears your soul to shreds.

BOB DYLAN - - ! !
That´s exactly how it is ,
no one is the same ,
not even close to HIM -----------------
Bob Dylan isn't just one of the best American singers and songwriters of all time, but also one the great American poets ever
Not even close to the greatest american singer...Elvis..Johnny Cash..Kenny Rogers to name a few are a million miles In front vocally..but as a song writer he's peerless..
@@barbaragray5883, Really good to great singers happen all the time. But a historically great songwriters/poets comes along very infrequently.
so that's why he won the Nobel prize
These guys say johnny cash is better than bob dylan, johnny cash took all his songs from bob dylan so i dont know
Ok
My grandfather loved Bob Dylan, as a black man born in 1944 the messages of change ment a lot to him, and so did the sadness. He gave me everything even my name. He died a few months ago and I feel so lost, he always guided me but these songs help. As a kid they just sounded nice but now they connect me to him, I love you duck
Know that he is watching over you. Glad these songs bring you solace. Best Wishes!

Nobel prize winning poet.
This tune holds for me special meaning. First heard it in a war.
As perfect a track as he ever recorded.
This song is beautiful, the harmonica at the end chills me to the bone
Timeless just timeless. Dylan is just as relevant today as he was so long ago when this masterpiece came out.
Harmonica solo at the end does spiritual things to my soul.
Yes.
It's always been my favorite part! Loved Bobby for decades.
Same here. Don't know why but it brings tears to my eyes
anyone know what harp key is used on this tune ??
@@perfectfan2006 It's in the key of E, so a blues harp in that key fits well.
One of his absolute best songs and one of the greatest songs of all time.
Agree 100%. He has such a vast body of work but this one is right up there amongst the best.
DON'T THINK TWICE,IT'S ALL RIGHT
That statement can and probably has been said of most of his songs
yep.

No-one today comes close to the poetic and musical genius that is Bob Dylan. I still have in my collection, my late dad's original Freewheelin album which I listened to from the age of 6. Have been truly blessed to have been born in the 50s and lived through unsurpassable periods and genres of music.
That cover of him and his girlfriend was phenomenal.
Van Morrison is up there with him. They also admired each other’s work.
Freewheelin'....yep, nothin' better!
I love Bob, he’s an absolute legend no question , but when you say no one comes close , I am also a huge Van Morrison fan, Bob & Van have a lot of respect for each other and I think both legends and both at the top of there game 🌟
Respect to all Bob & Van fans out there.

I've just finished a Zoom meeting with my fellow all grain beer brewing mates and this sounds even better than the thousands of times I've heard it before in my 40 plus years of Bob devotion. It might be the beer I've consumed but it could just be his GENIUS.
What can I possibly say about this beautiful music poem?.... I feel lucky to share the same planet with this man.
Thank you, Michael Lynch, for turning me on to Bob Dylan in 1963 when we were in Korea. I've spent many, many hours listening to his music since. There is no one like him.
The mist of a winter fog in late January blankets the sun as the pruner laborer makes his cuts to the vines that sprawl miles and miles around, while Dylan plays in the back ground and his child is swept by this magical sound. My youth in 1965 Central Valley California working in the fields and dreaming.
Helloo!! I covered this song in my channel and I really hope you like it!! See you! 😊
Best comment in this entire video. I can just imagine it.
I still go about my days humming his songs after 45years my back pages will play at my funeral
I was lucky enough to see him in the 70's and still enjoy his music. Anyone who wasn't lucky enough to grow up in the 70's I'm SORRY. Great time best memories!!

1974 chicago i had tickets my sister borrowed i went and got in robbie garth and the romeo clown were outta sight
I love how he can sing with condescension and bitterness and irony. Most singers only sound earnest
Of his many voices over the decades, this might be the best one. Perfect.
Juin 2024 ….quel bonheur d’écouter Bob Dylan 🥰
Literally, one of the greatest musical & literary geniuses of all time.
Bob Dylan sang my life. Thank you, Bob...
Except for the nonsensical use of the word "literally", I do agree.

One of his best undoubtedly.....and the harmonica simply nailed it !
Yes, the harmonica solo at the end is his best ever.
Yes, Stravinsky would be proud, lol
Truly his best harmonica work, along with Tangled Up In Blue
Oh and I Want You as well
The harmonica always nails it
Easily my favorite song by him. There's just something about this song that gives me 'that' feeling and puts me somewhere else. Nice to see they're finally allowing his songs out here.

Same Dylan’s music is very therapeutic to me for some reason
I know. A lyric for every problem In my life, or just the sound of his voice. I always go to him.
It's because he's real. That's my opinion....you cannot get even close to being as authentic as he was here without it being genuine and from the heart ♥.
It is truly an intricate masterpiece. I keep hearing new things each time I hear it.
When he sings "she breaks just like a little girl", I always took that as she's very mature, but she broke up with me in an immature way.
My friend was saying she breaks down/falls apart like a little girl. Anyone else with an opinion on this?

We overuse and throw the word "genius" around a lot, especially in the music biz and in Hollywood. But in Dylan's case, you cannot use the word enough.
Damn it ain't that the truth. Underrated is used too much as well.
@oyinbo peppe I've noticed that people who aren't too bright don't recognize genius. I've noticed that most dullards don't get Woody Allen. Dylan and Woody are two of our Jewish geniuses like Einstein.

Another diamond song from Sir Bob Dylan !!!!
My parents introduced me to Bob Dylan in the early 1960s with protest songs like blowing in the wind. When I met my first true love in 1972 she had a compilation album of Dylan's greatest hits (on LP of course) and I put the needle down on Blowing in the Wind, but she told me to expand my horizons a bit, flip the album over and listen to this track - I still love you Moira 50 years later for broadening my young and naïve horizons - even though we are a million miles apart now

This my favorite Bob Dylan song 😍 I’m a Beatles fan but Bob Dylan is one of the best songwriters of all time alongside Lennon and McCartney, nobody came close to them
My thoughts also
In my opinion Dylan and Van Morrison are both in a league of their own. No one can compare with them. Maybe Lennon from 64 to 66.
If you take everyone by themselves and try to separate them from the others in their bands, id have to say:
1. Dylan
2. Van Morrison
3. Lennon
4. Tom Waits
5. McCartney
