I remember back in late 2010. Going to see my mom on November 12th. I was on a motorcycle and got hit by a drunk driver. After the hit I came to laying in the road face down. I rolled over on to my back and tried to stand. I saw my left arm pop up and go limp. (Shattered scapula.) I lay back and try to cross my legs and noticed my left leg was bent backwards. I laugh because I didn't know what to do and noticed I was coughing up blood and my breathing was getting shallow. I had a punctured lung. I lay back and accepted the fact that I would die. I pulled out my cell phone and called 911, after I called my mom. Told her "I love you mom." and hung up. I called my dad and told him the same. My mom called me back in time to hear the emts getting me, the officer answered the phone and I remember my mom screaming over the phone then I passed out. I can't imagine how that felt for my family. I try to make it a goal every day to tell my family I love them.
That end though... Still gives me goosebumps to this day.
i used to fool around with this one girl from my town. we fooled around for about three years but never got serious. one day she said she will move away. this was the last song we listened together before she left. that was 8 years ago and still think of her. she now has kids and is married but i never forgot our time together.
Katyan BS what about you though?
I always viewed this as the saddest song I have ever heard. There is loss, there is heartbreak, but I think what killed me most with this song was how the person was facing his fate with the limited time that he had; an inevitable outcome, but one that he faced without fear. He was only sad that he wouldn't see his family and friends one last time. If we should take anything from this, it should be that when our time comes, we should go with love in our hearts and not hatred in our minds.
Nulla dolenda.
"Fear accompanies the possibility of death. Calm shepherds its certainty." - Farscape (not a great sci-fi but that one quote stuck with me)
The calm tone and that ending is what makes this a masterpiece
This song is so sad! I cried listening to it! My aunt died during 9/11 so this song gets to me!
the USA and the capitalism got what they deserved.
Too bad you haven't yet.
My heart breaks for your loss. As a child, those times hit me so hard. I cannot begin to imagine how you felt. I'm sorry your aunt was in that event, I just hope you and your family are doing okay, and may god bless you.
@@philippb7028 Correct, but the innocent onboard planes did not.
A sadness so deep that one can only calmly leave a message to their loved ones, and not actually being able to talk to them. it gets me every time.
This song is so sad.... in the news they speak of missing airplanes and so this song always comes to mind. Those poor souls. Tom why must you strike such a delicate chord :(
Though this song technically has nothing to do with 9/11, I still listen to it every year on this day if at no other point in the year. RIP to the random stranger that loved his kids and just wanted to say goodbye.
This is such a sad song. Back in the day, I'd binge Assemblage 23 playlists like crazy while gaming but when this song came on, I was like holy shit. I'd listen again, paying attention and man, it made me cry. Beautiful, abrupt.
Part of interview with Artist:
"But the main inspiration for the song came from a documentary about plane crashes in which they played answering machine messages that passengers in a plane going down had left for their loved ones. It was really chilling and kind of stuck with me, so I decided to write a song about it."
Great song from a great band.
Is it wrong that the next song on RUclips auto-play is "Ground"?
+Builder Dex For me it's Let The Wind Erase Me.
+Builder Dex It's very ironic, as Ground is a particularly optimistic song.
It's like Passing Through the Gate everytime.
Such an incredible experience & song.
_SUBLIME!_
I own this one. Most of the music he's put out just gets into my 'generic' electronic music folder, but this one is beautiful. It's in the top 100 on my list.
I know it's an old song but it gets me every time. Haunting is the word.
This song is SO powerful. It makes me proud to say that this band comes from Washington, my home state. :)
I'd give it more "likes" if I could.
I love the way this Song is. But Wow it Definitely Hits The Heart
I dont know why the strings in this song reminds me of Metal Gear Solid Soundtrack: The Best Is Yet To Come. But both this song and the one I just mentioned both can stand hairs up on my arm. Just very emotional songs.
I'm surprised the ending to Donnie Darko didn't make it in here somewhere.
Play this at my funeral.
I'm glad to know I'm not alone in this
Exactly
Man this song used to depress the shit out of me whenever I listened to it. Good song, but GOD.
Spencer Spence same tho
Weirdly, it calms me when flying.
This comes up on my playlist from time to time. Always, ow.
This is an excellent song, very touching.
i know the meaning of this song, this video i make it only for pleasure and i think is much entertaining that only to see a image :D
Te rifaste muy cabron. Geni0
love this.it is musical genius.
it is unbelievable!!!! So eerie
He would've maybe said that last thing if he wasn't making such long brakes.
Your video is great very good.. I Love Pando.
Love this song..
This song makes me cry sometimes.
wtf im a sinic but damn it almost sparks the pain inside to remind me that im alive
When he talks about his family and friends it sounded like he was about to say "surely we will meet again and I'll see them all in Hell" 😅
Feel The Darkness, It Hurts It comes and goes. Empty Soul. 😞
gives me chills
We shift change or not, still this song means alot.
Such a sad song reminds me of the 9/11 victims in the planes
:'(
That's what came ti mind when I first heard this song. Currently ugly crying as i type this comment. Gets me every time, cause we just never know when our number is up
This song reminds me on another song at the violin part
I hate it yet it's sooo good.......yeah I know mixed emotions
Along with the ending getting cut off because they actually hit whatever it is.
War thunder... "it was an honor to serve with you"
The plight of a pilot.
That ending hurt my heart.
Right in the feelings... ouch
I'm here because of Patrick Musilek.
This song reminds me of 9/11 😔
Hello, if you're there pick up the phone
I'm calling from 30,000 feet above you
The captain's just informed us that our plane is going down
So I'm calling for one last time to say I love you
I'm not certain how much time I may have left, so I'll be brief
I'm sorry if this message only amplifies your grief
But I couldn't bear the burden of never having said goodbye
And the pain you feel, I promise you, will go away with time
I'm sorry I wont be there to see our children grow
Please tell them that I loved them more than they will ever know
Tell my family and friends how much I loved them all as well
I"m sure that we will meet again, but only time will tell
I'm sorry most of all I wont be there when you grow old
To be there by your side and keep you warm when you are cold
Forgive me, but I think my time is drawing to a close
So I've one last thing to tell you now before I have to go
That could be a metaphor.

For the sake of the length and musical attributes of the song. If the message wasn't accompanied by music, it would have been shorter and ended abruptly the same. Also, you better learn the difference between brakes and breaks.
Red I the pthenomonen cyclops Raiden mallrat sent
then why would he/she still have a crush? I honestly don't think Necrophilia is that common.
how on earth does this.. what? ...
wtf.anyway yeah great song.
Blyar
Why is that a "fuck yeah?" like seriously, what do you get out of that?
Why this so depressing tho?

I don't think this song has anything at all to do with 9/11. Some people may just automatically make the link. In all honesty, I don't really even think this song is about a plane crash. I'm still trying to figure out, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was really about a divorce or something.
RammsteinGunner 30,000 ft above you, isn't about a plane crash? "our Captain's just informed us that our plane is going down"... Some ends with a plane's screeching decent... Yep, no plane crash here.... O.o
No

Lol
Song is great, shame on lyrics like from a soap box opera, too melodramatic.
