      Mate, your a much better driver then me! (Plus this was a fair bit cooler) Just happy if people pick up a thing or two that can help them keep it off the walls!

    What year is this Car and do you let out your setup guide? Thank you.

    Trivia: I remember (I think) Dick Johnson talking about the track in the late 70s/ early 80s. I remember him saying that as you came through Skyline to head into the Dippers, you would aim for the top of a particular large tree because it would set you up to head into those bends on the correct line. I've hunted high and low for the interview but haven't rediscovered it as yet.

    Bloody tricky track but I love it 👍🏻

    • @gibilator

      Might be biased, but I think it's the most rewarding track to navigate! 100% ended up being about 5s quicker then most in the race and 2s quicker then the front runners. Unfortunately, we had technical issues. Then I had a moment at the elbow, which ruined our chances, but there's always this years race!

    Awesome to see another left foot braker

    • @gibilator
      @gibilator  2 года назад

      Don't have the skill nor the patience to learn it in time for this week's enduro! I will push myself later to learn heel toe but still early on my sim racing journey. It's on the list:D

    • @Bartman954

      @@gibilator honestly I find it easier in a Supercar to left foot brake. Only time I use the clutch/right foot braking is top of the Mountain to prevent wheel spin and drive line locking.

    Great vid.. thank you..
    a vid on how to do setups would be great.

      I trust in others guidance for this stuff. I like a pointy nose and controlling oversteer on exit so find the vrs setups typically work well for me.
      Thanks for the kind words.

    Hey mate how are you not stalling the car when you fully stop without using the clutch?

    • @gibilator
      @gibilator  4 месяца назад

      Auto blip in iracing is accepted by all ladies
      Leagues that I know of so I haven't bothered to teach myself to use the clutch.
      The auto blip setting basically over takes over the clutch when required.

    how come your using paddles for upshifting and sequenstial for downshifting?

    • @gibilator
      @gibilator  2 года назад

      Have them both bound you may notice that i do pull a few upshifts with the sequential in this video. Predominantly using the sequential shifter now and will be during the race. Not sure why but I feel quicker with it.

    With auto blip enabled, do u still need to manually blip. I struggle with this car regardless of track

    • @gibilator
      @gibilator  2 года назад

      Manual blipping is definitely superior to auto blip! Slow everything down is my suggestion.

    • @johnmifsud6007
      @johnmifsud6007 2 года назад

      @@gibilator thanks for the quick reply. So what settings do u use. I stayed with auto blip cos I found that under the anti stall option, I failed to blip constantly at the required rpm.

    • @gibilator
      @gibilator  2 года назад

      I use the anti stall as its allowed in my league. I manually blip, down shifting as I give the throttle a good wack. I don't the co ordination currently to heel toe or indeed use the throttle very much at all.

    Lol driving gloves.

    • @gibilator
      @gibilator  2 года назад +1

      I have worn out parts of the glove and id rather that then my hands. It's a requirement for high end direct drive gear, especially when your trying to protect equally nice wheels. I invite you to try a 20nm + wheelbase for an hour plus.

      @@gibilator Why would you want to wear your gloves out, then your hands?

    • @gibilator
      @gibilator  2 года назад

      @@bremCZ I work with my hands and want to protect them! The gloves have more grip them my hands as well so require less grip force over long periods of time this adds up less muscle fatigue. All in all they are cumbersome, somewhat unconfirmed but an absolute necessity on a high powered DD setup.

    • @gibilator

    • @bremCZ
      @bremCZ 2 года назад

      @@gibilator No, that doesn't explain why you'd want to wear your gloves out then your hands. I can't figure out why anyone would actively want to wear their hands out.
