  • Dear friends
Danny and I ventured north west to Butterworth to look for street food. Our trip actually extended further than Malaysia to Thailand, however this trip is all about this town known as the other side of Penang. The food featured here is more or less the same with Georgetown although it’s a little more authentic. Apparently, there are food items here not even available in Georgetown. Please check out our choice and see if it suits your taste or not. Thanks, and see you in the next video. Bye now.

The summarized historical portion on Butterworth is really good and gives me an educational tour of that area. Good well known hawker’s delicacies like Lor Mee, Hokkien Mee, Northern style Chee Cheong Fun , White curry mee, Keow Teow T’ng and right until the dipped rojak in skillets form makes me mouth watering all the time. Nice choices to visit and it also give the audience the type of hawker food that Butterworth has to offer. Yatt Lau ! Mou Dak Deng ! 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽. Thank you Elmo ( and also to Danny ) for bringing this Butterworth food haunting episode right in front of us and surely it is ‘BUTTER-WORTH’ the effort and keeps us waiting for more good food haunting episodes from you. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Note :- When there is another opportunity- don’t forget to visit another 2 locations at Butterworth ( Tokyo restaurant - Chu Char dishes and May Fong restaurant - keow Teow soup / white chicken restaurant. They are nearby and opposite each other.

Hats off to you for the amount of effort you put into researching the history of the places you visit! Your channel is underrated, you deserve a lot more subs.
That toasted wheat bread reminds me of the roti baker from Paparich restaurants, used to order them regularly, they were my favorite!

Thank for a good sharing , Sir Elmo
Otherwise, I was visited Butterworth just mid of May , first time
Because my family members , last time can said a year would several time visited Penang , but always skip Mainland and went to Island
Can be said a great experience, visit some township , house for some decade etc
Also that got an unique food, is a lemon kueyteow soup in Taman Mega (poorly close after 12pm,but that time my ETS reach ) , and an Octopus' fishball just in front the Ganesha temple
of course a funny story , I mistake seen the time of bus make me early of an hour and a half reach Penang Sentral
So in that case, I just go upstair the balcony on top of the new jetty, to seen nightview
The island, old ferry & sea view at night
In this case , I met a Malay young man , an USIM student from Nilai , but this Malay student is hometown from Kedah ,Alor Setar it not mistake
Just back to his hometown , and got time so he visited Island ,just because he never been to Island yet, and that time he just wait for the jetty open gate only
So ,I told him a lot of a story ,just less that 20minit ,but look like said for several years, theory of relativity
From the time ,I visit Penang with my family what was enjoyed , unique place , for example Georgetown ,Kek Lok Si temple
Also , many food and stall you can enjoy , of course some is Chinese food, for example the Laksa , cendol ,rojak ,otherwise ,also got other Malay food lah
also including a case was happen during Komunis period , a chinese principal was assassinated, by a Komunis people when he present a lectures meeting , and also said the principal for the school ,is an independent Chinese high school , and the is a school not a normal school , is very famous until now ,and some Penang people knew you not graduated from the school , is a joke for it
    Also some haunted story
Also , I first mention I from KL, and said many unique KL, Selangor local food , including non-Halal , like Bak Kut Teh ,
also the 三间庄, I said is 'Mee 3 Warung , and said many unique for the noodle , otherwise I also said it the food can from pork change to other suitable meat , even beef also can , just I would hesitate about it
what a nice journey too lah
