    What I forgot about, is that Mormonism also teaches that everyone is saved, because they believe that Christ died for ALL sins for ALL of mankind. The Mormonism view of Hell means to be in one of the 2 lower heavenly kingdoms, Terestial, Telestial Kingdoms, which they claim everyone goes who does not believe in Jesus or those who do but lived a sinful life, you do not live in the presence of God but still in an eternal living body of perfection.
    This makes no sense when we actually read, study and understand the Bible, that Hell is the Lake of Fire which Jesus warned us about more times during his ministry than he talked about heaven.
    When we read the book of Revelation, written by the last apostle, John, we learn and know what Heaven is, what to expect, and that there are no multiple degrees of glory of heaven. Those who are born again, truly saved, will be with Jesus and God the Father and the Holy Spirit forever, in the same place. We will be "in" God's presence.
    There is a huge difference between Christianity Biblical teachings and Mormonism beliefs and teachings.

      Well there is also “outer darkness” the Mormon equivalent to hell but yeah basically anything below the celestial kingdom means you can’t progress to godhood so basically if you go the 2 lower kingdoms then you don’t get to continue your “eternal progression” and you don’t get to dwell with “Elohim” Heavenly Father, basically the only way you can go to outer darkness in Mormonism is to accept Mormonism then become an apostate, the Mormon concept of heaven and hell are 2 heresies wrapped up into one, basically everyone including atheists, Muslims, Jews will go to a kingdom of heaven (universalism) while at the same time basically everyone is “saved” in order for you to attain total salvation in Mormonism you have to follow the Mormon gospel to the best of your ability, do a bunch of stuff for the Mormon church, get baptized, receive temple endowments and get married in the temple for time and all eternity to help
      You ensure your placement into the celestial kingdom where you according to Mormonism can become a god then have endless celestial sex with your wife creating a bunch of spirit babies to populate your own world and then the process will repeat, an infinite production of gods, the Mormon god factory 😂

I can tell you as a 45-year-member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that is incorrect! Those whose names are not written in the Book of Life will have to endure the lake of fire. Revelation 20:14 (AKJV) “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” The Telestial, Terrestrial, and Celestial kingdoms are for those who were resurrected to a resurrection of glory. 1 Corinthians 15:40 (AKJV) “There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. 42 So also is the resurrection of the dead.”

    Thank you, Sandra. Today would be my 45th anniversary of receiving my temple endowment. Yikes, pretty scary penalties back then. I was a good latter-day saint. A Bishops wife, etc. 5 years ago, I found true Christianity. I love the Bible, and I love to serve the true Jesus Christ. It's not a duty anymore but a joy. My family members are TBM. I am considered an apostate. It is quite challenging. I am a sinner, and I am thankful for his mercy and grace. My shelf broke 5 years ago. God bless you.

    Thank you for this video. An LDS loved one and I are in conversation about the concept of being a sinner right now this weekend. Praising God for the timing of this video. Certain things said were exactly what I needed to hear from God’s wisdom in the Bible. God is good- & never late.

      [1] “Judge not, that you be not judged. [2] For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. (ESV)
      God doesn't condemn judging (would be hypocritical as THE judge of Israel), but commands that we judge righteously, with the same standard that He judges us with.

    My poor ex-mother in law, a Mormon convert at 15, died without ever knowing Christ. She never knew God's perfect love. She attended the Mormon church every Sunday. She went to BYU and married her popular basketball playing college boyfriend in the St. George Temple. She tried so hard to "do" the right things.
    Temple marriage and seven kids be damned... He cheated on her for years, and was ex-communicated twice for his affairs... once while serving in a Bishopric.
    Regardless of the grim facts, his basketball pictures still grace the halls of BYU. He's still hailed as a sports star.
    To this very day... few of his grandkids know about his dark, lie filled, immoral past.
    My kids know the truth. But, other than that? His adult Mormon kids have kept a tight lid on all of it. Why they wish to grow and propagate these lies is beyond me?
    My ex-mother in law finally divorced this horrible guy, after he gambled away every last nickel they had at the blackjack tables in Vegas. This happened after he was fired for sexually harassing women in his office. Crazy, but all true.
    The philandering cheater went on to marry another Mormon woman... with money, of course... money she'd inherited from her first, older but now deceased husband.
    My ex-mother in law considered herself "lucky," when she met an old Mormon boyfriend from high school, who'd recently divorced his wife. His wife became a Christian, left the church, then left him.
    So, once they were both single, happy Mormons again, they got married in the Temple.
    This story doesn't have a happy ending. My ex-mother in law died far too young, after developing an incurable disease.
    What became of her faithful, loving, "doting" new Mormon husband?
    Shortly after my ex-mother in laws' death and at over 80 years of age... he married a third women... in the Temple!
    It's shocking to me how my ex-mother in law's family can't see how wrong all of this is! Even in light of the sad truth about their mother's life and the solid information out there about the deceptions in Mormonism... they still cling to Mormonism. They still cling to it, even though the church ruined my ex-mother in laws' life.

    Yes a man telling you that you are “Worthy” because you have a temple recommend is not counting on Christs Righteousness and His Work on the Cross. Until Jesus opens your eyes you can never realize that only the Lamb of God was found worthy, and you never were .

You cannot access the atonement if you don't go to take the sacrament, if you don't renew your covenants, if you don't go to the temple, if you aren't sealed with your wife for time and all eternity. In other words, you prevent God from being God, and that is a woefully weak God to worship.

    I am a forty-five-year member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Standard Works of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is our doctrine/scripture accepted by common consent and published. Doctrine & Covenants/Introduction/paragraph #3: "The book of Doctrine and Covenants is one of the standard works of the Church in company with the Holy Bible, the Book of Mormon, and the Pearl of Great Price." Where is the doctrine/scripture that says, "man has the ability to progress to Godhood?"
    We, members, accept the Authorized King James Version of the Bible. Romans 3:23 (AKJV) "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Mosiah 3:19 “For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father.”
    The spirit of man is eternal according to the Bible. James 2:26 “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” A living soul is a mortal body in which exists an eternal spirit. The spirit at death goes on to paradise (Abraham’s Bosom), Hell, or spirit prison depending upon the righteousness of that person. Luke 16:22 (AKJV) “And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.” 1 Peter 3:19 (AKJV) “By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;”
    The resurrection will permanently reunite the eternal spirit and its resurrected mortal body permanently. Each person who does not receive a resurrection of glory will be sent to the lake of fire. Revelation 20:14 (AKJV) “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” The rest receive different levels of glory. 1 Corinthians 15:40 (AKJV) “There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. 42 So also is the resurrection of the dead.” Only those who are Baptized, Sanctified, and Justified will inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9 (AKJV) “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.”

      Hello there, I hope that this will challenge you some!
      The passages you referenced do not support a soul being eternal past. Scripture actually directly contradicts this idea many times…
      Genesis 2 is the most obvious and clear point of this - God formed man from the dust of the earth, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.
      Zechariah 12:1 says that God formed the spirit of man within him…
      Further Isaiah 44:24 says that God “made all things”.
      So everything outside of God, has a beginning. And humans beginning started with Adam, the first human.
      Pslam 139 speaks of us being knitted together.”

    I'm a member of the church.... Sandra Tanner doesn't sound like she understands the true beliefs of her former church.
    The Book of Mormon teaches...
    We can merit NOTHING of ourselves....
    Alma22:14 And since man had fallen he could not merit anything of himself
    That we are unworthy creatures...
    Mosiah 4:11 even so I would that ye should remember, and always retain in remembrance, the greatness of God, and your own nothingness, and his goodness and long-suffering towards you, unworthy creatures,
    it teaches we are literal beggers of Christ...
    19 For behold, are we not all beggars?....behold, even at this time, ye have been calling on his name, and begging for a remission of your sins.

      That’s why she said it’s in the Book of Mormon. We don’t believe in a closed canon (or in other words, we believe in a living God who still wants to speak to his children, not ONLY tell them to read the words he gave his children thousands of years ago). We revere the Bible and hold it as a testimony of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is another testament - a record of God’s dealings with his people in another nation. I’m excited for the time where even more ancient records from ancient civilizations comes forward as God is father over all the earth - so we should assume He would have made covenants with His children in other lands than only the near east.

    So...most Christians believe God sends the sinners to eternal hell. There is no Godly love in this. LDS know this is not true and that most all will receive a degree of glory after their judgment. That is a loving and merciful God. Tanners are sad apostates.

    As someone who has also been both Christian and LDS, you've gone frying pan to fire, dear. You're not a sinner. You're simply a human being. You don't need an invisible parent or dictator hanging over you in 24/7 surveillance. Personally, I quit striving for nirvana or heaven or being god-like. I'm HAPPY being a human with all the problem and issues that humans have to face. Then it's not a struggle any longer. Don't be deluded into Christianity that simply promises you one more way to be subservient to other humans (your priest or pastor now instead of your bishop, stake president or President of the Church) by feeling bad about yourself. That feudal way of living is OVER. Humanity is going on to a more celebrative, cooperative, and collaborative way of life.
