Bens death was last minute. They actually didn’t even film anything about him dying.For example it wasn’t really Ben falling backwards after the kiss. It was originally Rey pulling him upwards but they put it in reverse, you can tell by Rey’s shoulders, they are going upwards instead of downwards when he falls. Ben was also supposed to be in the sunset scene at the very end. Rey was in the same position before and after the sun set. They just edited out the lightsaber in her hand. I really wish they just kept it how it was supposed to be

well there’s been several theories about ben coming back. i think my favorite was that the planet exegol is a planet connected to the world between worlds (also how palpatine came back) which in the clone wars, ahsoka dies on the planet mortis which is connected to the world between worlds. they’re basically stuck there just like as if it was the soul stone from avengers. anakin uses the life force to bring her back and they both live. i think i also saw something about future films in 2022, 2024, and 2026. i hope in this they possibly show a new generation of jedi as rey as the teacher and in one of the books she has, she finds out ab the world between worlds and those who are stuck there and she attempts to bring him back.
