Plot:
On the run in the year of 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie, on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken.

Bumblebee is a 2018 American science fiction action film centered on the Transformers character of the same name. It is the sixth installment of the live-action Transformers film series, and was developed as a spin-off and prequel, later declared a reboot of the franchise. Directed by Travis Knight and written by Christina Hodson, the film stars Hailee Steinfeld, John Cena, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., John Ortiz, Jason Drucker, and Pamela Adlon, and stars Dylan O'Brien, Angela Bassett, Justin Theroux, and Peter Cullen in voice roles. In bayverse he was 18 feet tall. in knightverse he's just 11'6 .
@@ashwanikumar-gv6ir He was only ever 16 and then 17 feet tall in the Bayverse. The 18 foot height was a mistake made in the marketing department. The Knightverse version also has two distinct heights that he seems to mass shift inbetween, 11 feet for when he needs to fit into small spaces, and 15 feet for when he needs to fight. This is also evidenced by the size of his jeep kibble in robot mode, with the wheel size on his back and legs putting him at 15 feet tall
Wow, from a design standpoint, it's phenomenally better that we can actually identify who the 'Cons are. With Bayformers, nearly every bot was almost unrecognizable.
I agree! Bay's transformers are harder to tell apart than these are. I also like the graphics of this movie and how they gave them the vintage look!
@@jordanclark6629 The only way we could have told them apart was when they were in their disguise mode. And that was hard to figure out until we were told by writers and designers who they were.
@@romankvapil9184 You could also tell them apart by looking at their eyes, IIRC even in the Bayformers movies they kept the old rule of autobots having blue eyes and decepticons having red eyes.

I hope so too but all hints points to him being mute in these movies which is fucking disappointing. Also, the fact that they ditched Dylan for Keegan-Michael Key for the Cybertron prequel and that Bumblebee is involved in Prime’s origin just sucks

Blitzing was so badass, he was so powerful he almost overthrew Megatron on many occasions, he loved to torture his opponents, and was a very was a high ranking officer, but it was his war crimes that made him incompetent.
I think Bayformers had the right idea, translating these (admittedly goofy) designs to a more serious format. But for some designs (Mainly the Decepticons), they are borderline unrecognizable. Like look at Frenzy, Soundwave, or even some Autobots like Wheeljack and tell me they even look remotely similar to their original designs.

@@j.jonahjameson1164 I was replying to this comment because I misread the comment. And I'm not on crack and no reason to insult me. The reason Blitzwing looks like Starscream is because in movie canon Blitzwing is a seeker. And in G1 seekers have the same body type with different color variations thats why Blitzwing looks like Starscream. And at the point the movie came out it was a soft reboot that's why dropkick doesn't look like is G1 counterpart they were still using Bay type designs for their characters.
Did Blitzwing have a split personality? It sounded like there were three voices. I'm not too familiar with him.
I love how at 1:06 and 1:57, Blitzwing sounds like a crazy bloodthirsty villain, but then at 2:35 he’s talking like a calm and put together dude as if he didn’t just drop Bee down a cliff side and rip his throat out lmao

To be fair, a lot of those *were* speaking some Cybertronian language. This *is* better, though.
Most of the deceptions spoke cybertronion in the bay movies
To defend bay a little bit, it was realistic because this new trilogy the bots speak english but the old trilogy most of them spoke in cybertronian and gave a reason why the bots spoke english, instead of just them speaking english from the get go

I don’t know about everyone else but I actually like Bumblebee’s jeep design, but nothing beats the Camaro!
I tend to disagree. Bumblebee translforming into a VW Beetle was the best decision ever made. Goes perfectly in line with his bug theme, and his design was never simpler.

I kinda love it if Bumblebee already lost his voice on Cybertron at the hands of Megatron. Since that's the origin of Bumblebee's lack of a voice I grew up with.

Honestly-? This and the cybertron scene are the only moments in this whole movie that I can truly say I outright love-
And the whole final battle with Bumblebee vs Dropkick and Shatter?
@@TaunTaunTundra4477 I only really enjoyed the Dropkick part and yet the constant cutting away didn’t appeal to me, I loved all the cons in this movie. It’s just out of all the fights this one I outright fell in love with and actually come back to revisit.

I'm honestly really torn! I love the sound of Dylan O'Brien as Bee, but I also really love how flexible and creative the media of radio-chatter is. Any clip anywhere could be used to convey what he's saying as well as recording those around him. Now, with the release of Beast Wars, we also know that Bee can record movies! So cool
If BumbleeBee never lost his voice, his mission would be way too easy. Ref the animations, he has the best relationships with the humans and his the Marty McFly of the autobots.

This movie represents the real Transformers in my opinion: decepticons are violent and cruel, and the Autobots are protectors and not crazy killers.
here blitzwing, Shatter and Dropkick are much more violent against the Autobots (particularly Bee) than bayverse decepticons, as it should be.
Megatron: Tell me where the ALLSPARK IS.
Bumblebee: I'll never talk Megatron!

Megatron pulls out his hand held sword as it forms into a purple energon blade.
Megatron: Then let's make it official. Megatron dives his sword in Bee's throat. "So that you will never utter a single word ever again!" Megatron said.
"You will forever be SILENCED! Megatron pulls out Bee's voice box out. Then when he's done with his sword in the next scene it's in Megatron's hand as he crushes it before droppong Bee off the Cybertronian cliffs.

I like how blitzwing is practically just doing his job professionally and does what is necessary while the other two are more barbaric.
I relate to Bumblebee so much. To avoid pain in my youth, I shut down and when I started working on healing in my 30's, come to find out that my throat and neck area...somehow it affected me in an adverse way. So, I found myself trying to communicate the deep feelings and thoughts thru music and I started hearing someone or something communicating back to me!!! I dunno. But, I think I'm in the final stages of healing that part of my body. 🙏🏻

I literally forgot of how suprisingly durable they were compare to the Bayformers. I mean like bumblebee even barely get a scratch nor damage when Blitzwing tries to throw him off the cliff and crushes him against the wall. Blitzwing also took a damage from him on his wings and he's still perfectly fine. As of the Bayformers movies, Their bodies were very fragile when it comes to battles until the age of extinction because I notice there's a few characters that had become more durable.
To be fair, that was mainly due to humans getting better at killing Cybertronians. The first movie really showed it. Transformers in the first film were tough. They could tank 20 missle rockets and still look completely fine. Back then, the only real damage was largely with the help of the Autobots' weapons. But as the film series progressed, humans got even better at killing them. Got to the point where a single missle could severely injure/fatally injure a bot
