Ditch the shades-the candle bulbs are sooo much better! The candle bulbs give the chateau authentic ambience and you already have Lots😊 of shades (which these don’t match).

Just want to say this is my fav chateau channel. I don't know why. I really hope you will put in a kitchen. I know you don't want to spend the money when you are selling but it will only increase the chateau value by even more than you spend.

For your hallway shutters perhaps a small rosette that matches the one on the ceiling. Just one on the center panel and some gold trim of course

Hi Carole, Adrian & Beth, When you get together with Terry and Ashe it's always a fun time. As for the lamp shades, it's been trial and error this week. You always figure it out in the end. Glad to hear your getting a change of use for the carriage house. I can't wait to see what you turn it into. I hope you leave the "Sellerie" pretty much as it is. Every carriage house needs a tack room and the oak paneling just needs a little TLC to really bring it back to life. The room would certainly serve well as a boot room or a coat room for guests...and as always, no rest for the weary, onto the next project. Mark & Scott

I got so excited when I saw the beautiful coach house again. It made me hopeful that you will be keeping the chateau! I did like the tassels Terry picked out for the lampshades. Maybe it's a good thing that there wasn't enough of it. That made the decision easier!

I'm excited to see you start on the coach house. I remember ages ago you gave us a tour and you and Carole were talking about converting it into an apartment and perhaps letting it or having your daughter live there? If you did convert it into one or two apartments, you could let it for income to use in maintenance of the Chateau (and you'd have someone there when you weren't to keep an eye on the place!).

Carole, I have some dark blue trim if you still want to go in that direction. Bought it from a brocante. Also if you are doing the coach house I know of the perfect rustic chandelier that is in our local antique market (more brocante) locally in Stockport. Every time I see it I think of your coach house. You might want something with a little bit more glass though.

Does this mean we get to have horses and an Ox or two? I will come and help with the coach house, it's awesome but that poor harness hurts me that it's been left unprotected. It's a great size room for rack and other equipment for work and pleasure animals.

Take the trim of lamp shades for the bright gold you used others
One of the most valuable aspects of converting the coach house to a complete living area is that whoever owns it (whether you or a buyer should one come along), can live IN the coach house while doing the more complicated renos on the chateau (like fixing/raising the hall floor underneath the staircase).
I would imagine your vision for the coach house does not include a garage space. Any ideas for converting any of the other outbuildings to garage space? I know it's difficult because the coach house is the only one that's accessible from the main gate.
We also have a gate at the back!
@ Have you ever used it? In videos it looks like it's been unused for a very long time. I was all sorts of surprised when you said the whole area back there is actually cobbles underneath the grass.
@@alexac3098 never used it as the gates need replacing but perhaps a spring job!

The blue glass in that antique shop was beautiful. When anyone is going to shops like this in France, u never see blue glass. I have a window full of blue glas. Just love it, and the regular bulb looks the best with the shades u just bought ❤

If not, you could do a LiDAR scan and have Billy’s friend convert it into a virtual 3D model.
It would give potential buyers an idea what the place could look like.
Billy has used to different Apps to scan the building and the kitchen.
Can’t remember their names but it’s all on video, or you can call Billy.

Too bad you have been working on a chateau and not playing tarot, the French game taken from the Tarot card during the Renaissance by the nobles of France...it's a bit like bridge but fun to play once you have people that know the game and can scheme really well.
