The Average Sniper I'm a new sub and when I saw this video it helped me figure out which sniper rifle would be good for me and I've been doing good with the Russian 1895 sniper,thanks man.
Hell, I do it to counter snipe. Fao Fortress' ridges from G to D are always lined with snipers. Just sit back at A, B or C and pop heads. One guy killing 10 people on a roll definitely helps.
yeah "camping" is compeltly fine in battlefield. if done right, camping is definitly ptfo. better than run and gunning around the map to no avail for the team. id rather have more camping defenders in my team
+King Tubby Yeah if they push for it, there's been many times I've cleared the area, for no one to run in. So I've had to leave my nest and take it myself. Who then leads to everyone running in lol.
Camping is only problem when suddenly 80% of your team are snipers far away from objectives scoring headshots leaving no one to do the job of capturing points lol. I had such game last week.
The difference between the average reaction time and aiming between this and PC blows me away haha. I couldn't get away with any of this, people drop you so fast. Awesome video man!

Accuracy on PC is obviously higher but I have had many games where people just have bad reaction time on both platforms. In the end it's the player, not the platform. Just my opinion though :)
Kylen Phillips has to do with physics. Bullets with high fps with travel straight through a target and just leave a little hole the size of the bullet. When you get further out, it gives the bullet a chance to slow down and spread or flatten inside the target.
Kylen Phillips the bullet has to accelerate. that sweet spot is when it's at peak velocity. After that it slows down. The faster the bullet, the more damage it does
I find picking a gun and sticking with it helps and don't focus on your stats too much that will come in time and when them headshots start rolling in woop woop can't beat that feeling

That would be the speed with which the vertical velocity of the bullet changes, as it is the derivative of the vertical velocity. However, bullet drop is a velocity, as it describes how many meters a bullet drops per second.
I really don't see why would anyone use martini instead of mk3, they both seem to be one shotting people from the same ranges and the mk3 has the advantage of a scope

I've always used the Lawrence of Arabia SMLE since I got it. It's a good class, you just gotta learn it. Played objectives in one game of conquest and went 42 13. Now I use the "winner" of this and the Lawrence
DMProDuctions I love the Lawrence of Arabia SMLE. It's basically the perfect gun to complement my play style. And with iron sights it's easy to hit headshots when you take your time, but if you get surprised it does just enough damage to the body to follow up with 2 shots with a side arm to finish then off. And it just looks amazing.
Yeh its powerful for sure but i like the fact you are rewarded with something good for getting scout 10 so hopefully they don't as the gas grenades are more in need of a nerf.
Raffica it's not a tough adjustment to make after a little whkle. the bullet only comes out like 2 inches off, so unless you were aiming at the enemy's earlobe the side mount shouldn't make you miss
At 9:00, you talk about reloading the bullet into the chamber. Just so you know, for the terminology, you don't reload when you pull a lever action. You are chambering a new round. So you should say, "It's really fast to chamber a new round." It's semantics I know but it's nice to use the right words for us gun nuts

My personal favorite is the Russian 1895 Sniper. Great sweet spot, fast re-cambering time, and I think the "smooth" thing about this gun you mentioned (For me) is the sight. The zoom, sight is clear, and the lines are very skinny. Amazing gun.
5 bullets in the clip? yes you reload it with clips, but it's. called an internal Box magazine, if you do future reviews please say it correctly. It drives me nuts and I'm sure others nuts aswell.
Technically its the internal box magazine has the max capacity of 5 rounds but it is fed by 5 round stripper clips or just clips in the heat of the moment

So I was hoping this would finally be a video from someone who understands that there is no "best" in a balanced game... and then he ruins it at the end. By definition with everything balanced perfectly there can't be a best. Of course nothing is perfect but its certainly close enough that the "best" revolves mainly around the situation and partially around your playstyle. The SMLE he liked can't manage long ranges with its low scope, has no bipod, has a slow bullet, and the fact that it has a poor cycle rate doesn't help either. It is designed around mid ranges. Add the fact that sniping you will regularly know the distance of your targets before you spawn and there really shouldn't be anyone sitting there thinking one gun works for everything. Also either DICE has changed the stats or he gave some misinformation - the M1903 has the sweet spot between 100 and 150 meters, not 98 and 118. I somewhat doubt the 98 and 118 numbers since none of the other guns use anything but whole numbers but I didn't look for the figures a month ago. The M1903 is a very good gun with the longest range sweet spot and still has a marksman variant with the smaller scope and no glint useful for counter sniping.
I actually said this in the video and mentioned that the best sniper rifle is always the one that suits your play style. I also corrected myself about the M1903 in the video and in the comments section.
Martini is great, but you can't judge a gun just based on its power. Plus, it's only great for close to medium range snipers. Long range snipers wouldn't like it at all
Not counting the Martini Henry, meaning scoped rifles only, the best sniper rifle depends on the person. Figure out the range you personally snipe at most often, and equip the gun that's sweet spot is in that range.
Also one of the best things about the M.95 is that no matter how many shots you've fired he'll always reload a whole 5-round-clip. No individual bullet loading:)
Are you sure? Because every time you reload the 5-bullet-clip does a pop-out animation and then you load the new clip back in. I just thought it was a mechanic to buff the gun compared to the others, seeing as there is no sweet spot. The 5-bullet clip also looks a lot different to the others. I'll have to research into that..
The bullet count doesn't match. I did some math but got it wrong and I'm at work so I don't have time to give example lol. But watch the bullet count next time you reload. Seems glitchy.
Alright will do:) I hope the mechanic stays though because that's what makes the M.95 such a good PTFO sniper gun. You just do work with it, especially on Argonne Forest. It'll still be a good gun but that's one less reason to pick it over something like the SMLE.
i like them all really. it depends on the situation. i think dice did a great job balancing the single action rifles. although i do think there are optimal variants for each. definitely sniper with the 1903, marksman with the 98, and infantry with the smle. i find the m95 works well with both infantry and marksman if you want to track your targets easily for the second shot since you dont have to think about the sweet spot and everything about it is fast
Dang I thought for sure it was going to be the gewehr 98 infantry, sniper or marksman but that's what's great about BF1! I like it because of the velocity and the sweet spot and because it's a straight bolt
For me, the gewehr 98 is the best scoped rifle at the 6x zoom, and the best non scoped is the Russian 1895 infantry, or the Lawrence of Arabia SMLE. I don't use the Lawrence often but it just looks awesome. But that's just my opinion

anyone else been using the flare gun to finish people off after you hit some one and they duck behind cover? its hilarious
I use the flare gun offensively, Put it in heavily used path's and listen to people scream. Not to mention nice bonus's for spot assist.
They also often die when you put it in those places. Plus the panic from being set on fire gives our side the advantage in a team firefight

I honestly don't notice a difference between the side mount and the regular scopes from BF4. All I need are the cross hairs and I'm happy.

Add the fact that sniping you will regularly know the distance of your targets before you spawn and there really shouldn't be anyone sitting there thinking one gun works for everything. Also either DICE has changed the stats or he gave some misinformation - the M1903 has the sweet spot between 100 and 150 meters, not 98 and 118. I somewhat doubt the 98 and 118 numbers since none of the other guns use anything but whole numbers but I didn't look for the figures a month ago. The M1903 is a very good gun with the longest range sweet spot and still has a marksman variant with the smaller scope and no glint useful for counter sniping.
I actually said this in the video and mentioned that the best sniper rifle is always the one that suits your play style. I also corrected myself about the M1903 in the video and in the comments section.

Martini is great, but you can't judge a gun just based on its power. Plus, it's only great for close to medium range snipers. Long range snipers wouldn't like it at all

Not counting the Martini Henry, meaning scoped rifles only, the best sniper rifle depends on the person. Figure out the range you personally snipe at most often, and equip the gun that's sweet spot is in that range.

Also one of the best things about the M.95 is that no matter how many shots you've fired he'll always reload a whole 5-round-clip. No individual bullet loading:)

Are you sure? Because every time you reload the 5-bullet-clip does a pop-out animation and then you load the new clip back in. I just thought it was a mechanic to buff the gun compared to the others, seeing as there is no sweet spot. The 5-bullet clip also looks a lot different to the others.

The bullet count doesn't match. I did some math but got it wrong and I'm at work so I don't have time to give example lol. But watch the bullet count next time you reload. Seems glitchy.
Alright will do:) I hope the mechanic stays though because that's what makes the M.95 such a good PTFO sniper gun. You just do work with it, especially on Argonne Forest.
It'll still be a good gun but that's one less reason to pick it over something like the SMLE.

i like them all really. it depends on the situation. i think dice did a great job balancing the single action rifles. although i do think there are optimal variants for each. definitely sniper with the 1903, marksman with the 98, and infantry with the smle. i find the m95 works well with both infantry and marksman if you want to track your targets easily for the second shot since you dont have to think about the sweet spot and everything about it is fast
I like the carbin and the Russian trench really nice for close gun fights
Dang I thought for sure it was going to be the gewehr 98 infantry, sniper or marksman but that's what's great about BF1! I like it because of the velocity and the sweet spot and because it's a straight bolt

Gewehr m95, being able to quickly follow up with a 2nd shot, is very good at longer ranges (after 150m, all rifles require 2 body shots anyways).

i really like the smle mkiii infantry or the martini-henry, perfect for close to medium range.
For me, the gewehr 98 is the best scoped rifle at the 6x zoom, and the best non scoped is the Russian 1895 infantry, or the Lawrence of Arabia SMLE. I don't use the Lawrence often but it just looks awesome. But that's just my opinion

also 1903 has low drag meaning it loses muzzle velocity at a slower rate resulting in more consistant performance at range
