Is the Hilton Head real estate market shifting?

Is the real estate market on Hilton Head Island shifting to a buyers market? Well, I don't know if we can call it a shift yet. Inventory of Hilton Head Island homes is staying relatively low and we won't see much of an increase in the coming months, although homes are sitting on the market a little longer.
Interestingly enough, Hilton Head Island home prices are being negotiated more than they have in the recent past, but final sales prices are remaining strong with little fluctuation.
So have we shifted? Sure, out of a sellers market with above asking prices, not inspections, appraisal waiving... yes. It hasn't quite turned into a buyers market here on Hilton Head Island. If we continue to see more homes come to the market, and homes staying on the market longer, buyers will have more opportunities to negotiate and find the right home for them.
