This medley was released a couple of weeks ago with no fanfare and no advanced announcements that they had even recorded it. Even the most ardent Pentaholics were completely taken by surprise. Now we're all wondering what they've got up their sleeves. They STILL haven't announced if this is the leadoff single for a new covers album or what it is. Matt is wonderful. He sings in Sound of Silence, Amazing Grace and Can you feel the love tonight. And of course, Mr. Grinch. New Rules x Are you that Somebody and Havana show off his bass work.
Kirstie's hair in this is giving me life. I would shank someone for perfect curls like that. Do you know how many spiral curling irons and gallons of hairspray failed to achieve that look for me in the 90s!?

Bass Avi Kaplan left the group (amicably) in 2017 and assisted them in selecting Matt Sallee to replace him. Matt's done a great job of filling some enormous shoes with a rich smooth voice and a great range. Have a great one, Javon, thanks for coming back to PTX!
Ughhhh my fun teenage and early 20’s right here. So fun. Such great times kinda makes me sad I can’t go back for only a bit. Omg Sonique Feels So Good!!
I have been so obsessed with this since it came out - all these songs are so nostalgic, it takes me right back to being a teenager and clubbing at uni, so good. But also they are so talented.
@ 4:26 when you asked what song it was, it was “Every Time We Touch” by Cascada :) Love your videos, you keep a smile on my face and I appreciate you for that!! ❤️
Cascada - Everytime we touch, great dance club sound , always got me on the dance floor, lots of my favourite 90s night out music can't believe its all 30 years ago, x
The "Everytime We Touch" song is by Cascada, released in 2005/2006. It's actually a cover from the Scottish female singer Maggie Reilly who had a pop-rock hit with it back in 1992. Cascada used the original chorus in their version but changed the verses to their own lines! Hope it answers your question. Have a great day.
I'm so happy that you reacted to this. It's so much fun. The guy in the red jacket is Matt Sallee, the bass. He joined the group in 2017 when their former bass, Avi, left. Matt has an amazing voice besides his incredible bass. If you'd like to hear him sing some more, he has a solo in two of my favorite covers by PTX. Simon & Garfunkel "The Sound of Silence" and Elton John's "Can You Feel The Love Tonight". Both are great songs that you would love.

First time Pentatonix autotuned, but they did is so deliberately and obviously to mimic the ridiculous autotuning of the era, it brings a smile to my face every time. I laugh, because the last people to ever need autotune are these guys. :D
Except, the only song from this medley that featured obvious autotuning in the original song was Cher's "Believe" - None of the others originally did (that was as obvious as Pentatonix did in this medley, anyway).
Also, 'Ridiculous autotuning of the era?' ... We're talking 90s music here, not 2000s or 2010/2020s ... Nowadays every other track (dance or otherwise) truly has a 'ridiculous' use of auto-tuning.
