The best way to significantly reduce poverty is to increase the financial intelligence and financial opportunities of the impoverished. Give people fish while you teach them to not just fish but to own the pond.
Imagine creating the largest socio-economic impact ever when low-income earners are taught how to create multiple streams of passive income to replace their employment income. Meditate on that for a moment.
The wealthy teach their families how to buy assets while the non-wealthy teach their families how to buy liabilities. Financial intelligence should be a primary mission of all individuals and organizations that are passionate about making a social impact. Don't just teach low-income people how to spin a wheel in the rat race and live check to check until they die, teach them something more useful like how to become financially free and escape poverty and the rat race forever so they can pass that knowledge on for generations to come.
Low-income earners deserve the ability to invest their hard earned money just like accredited investors are able to. It is unfair that the SEC only allows accredited investors the ability to create wealth through investing while hindering the ability of non-accredited investors. Current ridiculously hypocritical laws prohibit and/or absurdly limit low-income earners to invest but allow them to gamble. These laws are created by similar hypocritical people that directly or indirectly support the sale of alcohol and cigarettes but do not support legalizing marijuana. Maintaining hypocritical laws like these are hindering progress but I'm sure the people that are making money because these laws are in place do not mind hindering progress for the people who do not benefit.

Instead of whining and complaining about what other people are doing and not doing how about "you" come up with a way to do a better job than our so called leaders. People spend more time complaining and criticizing when they could be spending that time masterminding and taking action.
Solution to Poverty: The formation of a hybrid for-profit and nonprofit organization that uses profits from investing to support the mission of providing wholistic (mental, emotional, physical, & financial) training and support to low-income earners. Jobs can be created that provide a source of income for the unemployed. Housing, food and transportation can be provided. Various insurances can be provided. The point is to help put people in a more stable and healthier situation while increasing their financial intelligence and providing opportunities to create passive income so people with no income or low income can join the program but eventually will no longer need support from the program and move on to financial freedom. All of these things can and should be provided from one social program. From homeless and broke to being financially free. A social program like this is needed and overdue and I'm going to make it happen no matter what but it would be nice to have support.

All of these things can and should be provided from one social program. This creates a comprehensive way for people to go from being homeless and struggling to being financially free. Would you invest in a "Flip My Life" program? A social program like this is needed and overdue and I'm going to make it happen no matter what but it would be nice to have support.
