Thanks dude, great job! and a little suggestion : you can try carnac or something like that show your shortcut on the screen, so we can learn that un-fimiliar tool much easier!
Thanks for the suggestion!
Welcome Back
Thanks!
My computer does not allow me to install new versions of Cinema 4D, so I model in P23 version, which does not have some tools, such as Equal Spacing. Thanks a lot for the video!!!
Thanks for the tutorial. I have two question if you don't mind. first I'd like to know when do we use the subdivision modeling method and when beveling method?! second do you have discord server so we can ask our modeling question there and ask for help?!
The Good tutorial. The only question is, how will you texture it after boole?
Curious what you think about cinema 4D compared to blender? Trying to decide which one I should invest my time into… I’m mainly interesting in rendering keycap designs
You should try making game ready assets, high poly then bake normals to low poly maybe, especially weapons, props, etc. That'd be fun.
Yeah, I am working on it actually and it works great between C4D, Marmoset and Substance.
Hey, thanks for your videos! Do you have any videos with using splines and sweep modifier?
Yeah, of course, check out my old tutorials.
Glad to hear that you are doing well after the terrible events. I'm interested. Why did you do everything through bevel? I somehow got used to the fact that subdivision surface is used in the lessons. Unusual to see such a technique.)
Thank you very much ❤
I used this technique because it is simpler and faster.
You need to choose a modelling technique before starting off any project, in my case, it was gonna be a waste of time if I tried to model this keybord in Subdivision Surface technique, that is basically why.
But SubD workflow is gonna be always superior and more professional, I just wanted to spice up the content on my channel, I will also start to upload game model tutorials, these tuts will also have a different modelling approach, which is kinda similar to bevel/polygon modelling.
@@polygonpen Thank you very much for the answer. In general, it is very pleasant that you communicate with the audience so easily. I have accumulated more questions (maybe you can't answer all of them :)). You said that before making a model, you need to choose a technique. How do you know which one is better to choose? Does it come with experience or do you try one technique first, it doesn't work, try another technique?
I'm very interested, what is your job? And is it possible to see your commercial work somewhere?
Thank you in advance)
Merhaba Polygenpen! super bir tutorial sadece kucuk bir sorun yasadim 16:25 kisminda bevel kullanirken bu edgeler disariya kaciyor yani farkli direksiyon anlatabildiysem "angles go outwards" diyelim. Bunu nasil fixleyebilirim acaba ? tesekkur ederim!
Merhaba, yüzeyde bazı alanlar/kesitler yada extrudelar birbirine çok yakın büyük ihtimal, be eller birbirine deyince olur bu genelde.
Can we expect a tutorial for a laptop, using the subdi method?
Not soon I guess.
at 16:25 , when I use a bevel, I have certain angles that go outwards... I redid a second time from the beginning and I still have the same problem, I am on C4D 2024 ...
edit: I tested with version 2023 of Cinema4D and it works perfectly… 😅
Nice!@@NICOP303
23:23 My "Close polygon hole didn't work like you
Do we have alternatives on Cinema 4D R25 for Equal Spacing Tool 30:52 ?
You need to do it manually unfortunately or there might be some scripts out there.
Ok, thqnk you@@polygonpen
im the one !!!
in the years I tried dozens of poly pan lessons but i didn't finish A SINGLE ONE, for example here, when we do our first beveling one of the corners is still poking out, like an empty polygon, i'm trying to fix it, it messes up whole model, starting over, same thing, starting couple of times again getting stuck for hours it these first minutes of the video...again...realizing that i literally hate modeling of any type with all my heart
I know a solution to this, I highly recommend starting slowly and gradually, so instead of jumping into complex modeling tutorials, try to focus on the basics or basic tutorials, otherwise you will just give up and get lost in the complex tutorials and you will start to think that you can't model but it is not true. It is all about learning process.
This method seems faster.
Yeah, it is waaay faster but has limitations.
Hi, Man! Cool tut!
Is this based on a real keyboard?
Yeah, it is real, it is called A80 Gaming Keyboard.
when part2? 🙂
It is on my Patrepn, I will upload the part 2 on youtube next week.
@@polygonpen ok model done and waiting for the update 🙂
@@JotaTorre I will upload it on Monday!
