Dr. Charles Walker used to come to my former church for revival week. I still esteem him as one of the best handlers of the Word in the recent generation. It was only the leading of God that had me search for him just now at 3am. Mr. Trevor Dawson, thank you soooo much for preserving the treasure of the Word that God gave to us through Dr. Walker.
AHHHHHHHHH now this right here is my PASTOR! One of the bricks in my foundation till TODAY his memory and teachings continues to hold me up!!!! Why? Because he knew me as a little girl, he baptized me, may sure that he was present in the lives of young people and taught us what being of service meant. Some of my best memories of my childhood was learning NOT ABOUT CHURCH PEOPLE but HOW TO GROW MY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD!!!! You knew when that arm flung back while he was preaching he was about to take you to another level!!!!!!
Quite possibly the best message Ive heard in my life. Thank you @Trevon Dawson for sharing. His teachings took me through college. Twenty something odd years later I get it now.....This message spoke to my soul then and now because it completely glories YAHUAH.
I am so grateful to Rev. Wilbur Wilburn, pastor of 19th Street Church and a son of my eldest brother for keeping my brothers memory alive but most so, the profound preaching of the gospel of Jesus the Christ!
THE LATE REVEREND DR. CHARLES WALKER NINETEENTH STREET BAPTIST CHURCH IN PHILADELPHIA PENNSYLVANIA...PREACHED AT THE FELLOWSHIP MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH OF CHICAGO ILL...ELDER CLAY EVANS PASTOR WE NEED TO HEAR MORE OF REV CHARLES WALKER
@@Walkerboy88 was that your dads saying? No one could close a sermon at the end about the cross like your dad. He was like an old car who starts off slow and speeds at the end haha. Him and caw Clark were like this.
Mikey Wayne it’s where 19thStreet got the idea from, The SHIP!! Had dinner ALL night, and breakfast @ 6am!! The ONLY church that did that in Philadelphia.
He started at Providence MB Church where his mother was a member Sis. Mercedes Walker. He was at the SHIP for a few years before moving to Rochester,NY. To attend seminary at Colgate-Rochester Divinity School. He was at the SHIP when I was born in 1963.
No words to describe the way he preached. Took me through premedicsl school. The best there was. Did it all in 22 minutes. I think what it is is his messages are always YHWH centred.
Pastor Charles Walker is one of the best and deepest preachers I have known in my 44 years of breathing and blinking!
