It's surprising to me that no one is gently providing any counterpoint to Iljin? Maybe those comments are being deleted. I guess I'll find out soon! The title of this video is misleading and has the potential of really damaging an institution that's training pastors. But "seminary student has different view of secondary issues than his seminary professors" wouldn't get the same amount of clicks.

This guy is amazing. My new hero. Speaking truth when you're facing opposition from almost everyone else is so hard, but so crucial. Thank you. God is with you. Secondly, my thought on why seminary professors are swallowing and perpetrating this stuff: it seems that for theological intellectuals, believing in the Bible without qualifications, or basing your views on the Bible alone, is viewed as naive and unintellectual. So they swallow the world's theories and ideologies in an attempt to be seen as intelligent and relevant. They seem to be almost ashamed of Scripture. But God says his wisdom trumps the so-called wisdom of this world. Don't be ashamed to keep standing on God's wisdom, you'll make a stellar gospel-based pastor one day. God bless you.

That Native American speaker at 19:46 seems to be very bitter and with hatred in his heart. The way he talks about a brother of a different background makes me think he needs to go re-read his bible. Even worse is that while he was talking about corporate/collective sin, he began to sound like the colonizers that he so despises. The thought of the past was the the Euro-Christians were okay in conquering entire people groups because they were all pagans. Every tribe and people group was the same, and deserved the same fate. They all had corporate/collective sin in their idolatry, as well as holding the innocent (women and children) accountable for the actions of war parties. That ideology is how Sand Creek Massacre happened. The only difference is that the Euro-Christians are not the ones doing it anymore, but are now at the receiving end of it. We have gone from "this is bad to do to anyone" to "its okay to do this to these people, because other people in the past that looked like them did this to people that looked like me". Its foolish, and evil.

Also if we take a look at our present system, all being equal under the law.(judeo christian) then all under that system are free to pursue there God given talents. We now want to replace that with Big Brother being God and dispensing law to the people. We will worship something.

I definitely understand how this video paints Mark Charles (the Native American speaker) as very bitter, however this video did a disservice to his points and created what I believe a straw man out of him. Mark states these things not to tell him to forgive him, but challenges his brother to sit and feel the very pain that he has lived with all of his life. I looked up the full video and I found it very insightful, ruclips.net/video/wxc-a1gz3oo/видео.html

It is good to know there are a few true biblical teachers still there at the moment, but sadly they will soon be made to feel like outcasts, I’m sure. Sometimes it just takes the courage of a few to get the rest of us to stand up. There is a lot of fear from people trying to remain orthodox on this issue. Many are afraid of the name calling, the cancelling, and facing the reality of being in a small minority that is portrayed as immoral. Iljin's example is exemplary and emboldening. May the rest of us take notice and do likewise!

The speaker demanding that the man sit and dwell in his shame and remorse for past "systemic" sins is just utterly repulsive and saddening to hear... even if he were addressing someone's individual sins for which we are called to repent of, this tone sounds like nothing of Christ and how he engaged with people...

Thank you for your response. One of the huge problems among Bible believing men is forgetting that Paul condemns not only homosexuals but also "soft men". There's an English word for a soft man: gentleman. Men aren't called to be gentle in their response to evil, only in their response to the broken, contrite and humble. Some of today's "poor" are proud arrogant people who die of obesity, drug abuse and violence. These "poor" people of any color are only poor if morals; they don't fit the true poverty I experienced as a child.
We Bible believing men ought stop being gentlemen. While Trump is an arrogant hell bound pagan; at least he is a man. I rather Trump than most pastors today.
Stop being nice when wolves run the Church. You're not going to reason the woke wolf into the Kingdom. Be a man.

Also, it enrages me to hear this slander of telling people to repent for things they've never done! I'm telling you, if I ever get back to church and I hear something like this, I will walk right out. Sickening!
I can't tell you how sick this made me! No one controls where or in what circumstance they are born. No one! So how can you repent of that? In fact, GOD is the one who determines all of that. So you're basically rebelling against God.

It’s so ridiculous that the social gospel would be part of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Why then, did Paul tell the slaves to obey their earthly masters instead of telling them to rebel because of systemic oppression? Or to obey the governing authorities instead of to rebel against them because they were oppressive to Christians? With God there is no favoritism and so it should be with us. Simple as that.

Faithful local Churches should exclude graduates from many seminaries from consideration. They are taught post modernism and so have no commitment to telling the truth but are wolves taught how to clothe in sheep's clothing. Local churches should start considering hiring people like this man or even those who have self studied and avoided seminary altogether. It should be made clear by the faithful Churches to the denominations they no longer will accept the lies.
It's encouraging to hear there's some faithful professors but they're no longer in charge. As to the students, if this man is correct they're an even bigger problem than the leadership. Listening to many young Christians today , I think he's right. Laodicea is ascending.

The Native American in this video is Mark Charles. You can view his entire presentation at Trinity here: juicyecumenism.com/2019/03/26/mark-charles/
According to Wikipedia, aside from being a public speaker and author, Charles is also a journalist, blogger, Reformed pastor, and computer programmer. He is the son of a Navajo father and Dutch-American mother.
    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Charles
He is also an independent candidate for president of the U.S. in 2020.
    www.markcharles2020.com/
His designated VP running mate is Sedinam Kinamo Christin Moyowasifza, who, incidentally, is also running for president as a Green Party candidate.
Mr. Charles' own Navaho tribe -- described as "predacious" on one site -- may well need to lament its past violence and plunder against the Pueblo, Hopi and Zuni tribes, as well as the Apaches with whom they were sometimes in league in deadly raids on other tribes, where enemy warriors were killed and their property and women seized. Had the U.S. not conquered the Southwest and enforced peace among those tribes, the "predacious" behavior most likely would still be happening.

It seems like the only thing that is being "systemically oppressed" is the truth of the Gospel. The dean of students that Iljin mentioned got me fired up. I can't help but wonder if some of these people in leadership aren't deliberately trying to subvert the Gospel for political/financial reasons.

Jon, I did not start watching you until very late last year (2021), and also began to hear of this from other sources (John MacArthur, Voddie Baucham and others). A fellow EFCA Pastor wrote a book on the Woke EFCA, which I got along with your book, and I finally came to quickly understand the issue cause it was always connected to the gospel, and not the post conversion sanctification, but justification. I think it is wrong either way, but especially justification. I still did not know visually and by hearing that this was so entrenched in TEDS. I'm having other issues with EFCA, so I have been seriously considering surrendering my ordination of many decades with them. I discussed these with the leader of our district, who says all the district leaders oppose the Social Justice agenda; but I know that over a year ago the district east of us had a woke leader who did leave, apparently after a church departed from the EFCA over his wokeness. This chaos and struggle was not part of us for so long, and perhaps that is one reason it has taken so long to recognize it.

I graduated from TEDS with an M DIV in 1987. This is very distressing to see. I have heard reports from friends who have left EFCA congregations because the pastor has taken the church into WOKENESS. Now, I know why some EFCA churches are moving in this direction! I fear that eventually the EFCA could start losing members like other mainline denominations.

I think the best way to understand the behavior of the administrators and profs that are either going along with or don't push back against the CRT/I and Social Justice and Anti-racism stuff to realize that they are careerists. So for example, if the cultural winds change, I fully believe that Trinity and Al Mohler and Russell Moore et. al. will change with it. Ok so Russell Moore is a Democrat, yes. But he rode into his position pleasing and winning the trust of a lot of Repubs in the SBC. The most consistently viable lens trough which to analyze and predict the behavior of these folks is that they are all first and foremost "careerists."

We confess? WOW. Real repentance of Sin to a Holy God is being sidetracked to a collective sin vs. Individual sin. This will eventually lead to a generation not recognizing it. (personal sin, individual repentance.) Satan is so deceptive. The new sin is collective (which is communism) the old is individual Sin. Ive always said don't look at society for signs of the end times look at the condition of the church. It will tell you. and we are there. For All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God, not Society.

Here is my 'white privilege' short story. My ancestors include those who survived the potato famine in Ireland in the 19th century joined by Germans and Dutch with no money came to North America. Early 20th century, My grandparents had a one room log cabin with a sod roof on a homestead in Canada. One horse and plow. Grandfather died in the 1918 spanish influenza. No welfare. Single mom with 5 little children. So much for 'white privilege'.

Some of the revelations of TEDS are very disturbing to me. Some of the speakers you posted are at the edge of apostasy. They are adding to the gospel with the philosophies and doctrines of men. Social justice and CRT are not scriptural in the least. How can I as a white man repent for things that other past white people did? I can only repent for myself for the breaking of God's revealed law.
Thomas Sowell points out that slavery is much more than a racial occurrence. It is something that has been with us for millennia. There have been slaves of every race and ethnicity, including Native Americans taking slaves from other tribes; Mongilians taking white women slaves; Turks capturing slaves from other countries. But this does not fit the white guilt narrative.
Christians must keep the gospel pure. Paul warns us "See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ," and "As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed." It is a dangerous thing to adulterate the gospel of Christ by adding human philosophes.

12:20 Gospel is soley the verticle reconciliation. The horizontal comes after due to a regenerate heart.
Thank for making this crystal clear.
    13:50
26:30 "It was just feelings, you know". Wow, that is really telling. Paul says he will "buffet his body " until it is under control of his mind. (We christians have the "mind of christ"). Paul in 1 Thes 4 says, God's will is for your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality... that one is in control of his body and present it as holy and honorable.
The bible is clear that one needs to take control of his own vessel and keep it under the mind of christ. When ever I see people following their emotions rather than their brains, that demonstrates that the person isnt controlling their own vessel but rather is letting the body/flesh take control.

I finally got to the point if saying "I'm sorry your native culture was treated badly and you're right it was wrong for that to happen but it is not my fault it happened." It did not change his opinion but it helped me realize the truth of that.

The Australian minimum wage is higher than the USA because everything costs that much more here. For example Revlon foundation = I can buy two for $14 US compared to the standard price of $40 AUS each. my Dell laptop I brought for $800 US back in Australia it's $3500. My monthly rent is $1,240:00 for a one bedroom tiny apartment directly above a double garage. And that's considered cheap!
I've travelled to a dozen Reservations in the States and the attitude portrayed in this video is sadly predominant among natives from my experience and deeply held by their Christian native leaders.

@@Yesica1993 don't let me put you off coming. Australia is a fantastic country and you will have the time of your life. The AUS$ is weaker than your greenback so it won't hit your wallet that much but i would suggest doing your research first so you don't get any nasty surprises. For example we don't tip here and waiters get around $25 per hour. Food is expensive, retail rental is expensive, power is expensive, insurance is expensive... as all that up and you will understand why your dinner at restaurant for 2 is going to be about $100. But hey we have koalas you can hug and 1000's off beautiful beaches. 😉
