This is by far one of my favorite songs by BB! And Lacey is my all time favorite female vocalist! Been a fan of both since they came on the scene. I too have a hard time understanding the "love pull me down, hate lift me up" line. On a side note... great video/reaction bro! Keep it up!
I love this collaboration, I love this song. BUT. I do have a bit of musical/production criticism. I feel like in certain spots where Ben is singing out in his upper range (mainly during the chorus when they sing "Dear Agony..."), Lacey's voice gets buried. I'm not sure if it's the production mix, or if it's because the frequencies that they are singing are just the same. I wish they had either pulled her voice more forward in the mix during those parts, or they had arranged it so they were singing with a different harmony/octave during those parts. But anyway, I still love this song and my criticism is purely a missed potential/me wanting more, kind of thing. Keep up the good work! This is always a great way to experience music in a different way and discover new things.
