    This is extremely useful. You can look at this in a different way: the door is closing and you're rushing to get through them, while blocking the door from closing while going through.

    I like how it isn't entirely coreographed. He just shows you the block and push back, and the offense is up to you. From the defense you could throw knees and run, throw a knee and then start bashing their head in, take then down, throw them and run, or throw them and break something, etc. Whichever works best and you can think of it yourself.

    You gotta keep in mind this is only a demonstration of a single moment, if you were actually getting attacked things go by much, much faster. Just because you stopped the initial punch doesn't mean there won't be another one coming. Your attacker could easily resist and attempt to back off or kick or stomp on your legs. Don't view this video as a catch all for hooks just an idea of what you COULD do

    • @veliapustetto5068
      @veliapustetto5068 10 лет назад +6

      That's for sure. And what happens when it just seems that a hook is coming and suddenly it becomes an uppercut?

    • @dmoney5340
      @dmoney5340 9 лет назад +22

      He blocks and counters at the same time simultaneously so the opponent won't throw the second punch because you intercepted his attack

      Nah that a whole load of bullshit my guy. Trust me I've boxed and I love boxing and mma.
      You're not going to go into any fight with this "Defend all move" you saw online. If the guy your fighting is thinking 2, 3 or 4 steps ahead of you like most boxers with solid experience should and your still thinkin like "If he throws a hook it's over" you're going to be waiting or react to that hook and the counter is already there to fuck you up

      The main thing that people need to remember when it comes do tutorials and such is. 1. You need to repeat these with someone and practice over and over until it is a smooth and controlled reaction. 2. You can NOT just learn 1 thing. You need to go in depth with this and learn all of these techniques to use the simultaneously if a bad situation ever were to arise. 3. This takes years of practice. Like going to a gym to get in shape. You must do the same for any martial art. You must make time daily to keep yourself sharp and learning the art. People should definitely put time into self defense training to protect themselves and others.

    JEEZ this is the most practical and awesome self defense system. Note that he is not concerned with "finishing" his opponent. He blocks, counters, then pushes him away and runs the hell out of there. Just the sequence of techniques you would need in a bar parking lot.

    I use this consistently. I hear alot of people say how is it if you dont see it coming thats why you have to be present minded during the fight, work on your reaction time and watch body movements and tells. Unexperienced fighters often pull back or lean in or show their move before they perform it and think you only counter once its over if you follow throw with proper combo.

    • @mir8985
      @mir8985 5 лет назад +6

      Dipende, non sottovalutare mai un avversario, soprattutto in stati di alterazione emotiva; non esiste nessuna tecnica efficace in ogni contesto, avvicinarti, accorciando la distanza e intervenendo sulla parte con meno potenza della leva, mentre copri la nuca, ha il suo senso certo; ma, l' avvicinarti, ti espone comunque all' altro pugno o colpo avversario..ergo, è solo una millesima parte; un avversario che non sia un manichino e intenzionato a reagire, reagisce appena ti avvicini. E non pensare " eh, ma mica ti trovi corpi speciali e professionisti..ecc" secondo me, se vuoi veramente allenarti, devi analizzare e abituarti alla " malizia combattiva" dei professionisti e dei " ceffi di strada". Dire a uno, che pratica solo nel tempo libero, che è pronto ad affrontare un malintenzionato, quando quest' ultima figura probabilmente pensa, in molta parte del suo tempo, a come fottere il prossimo, mi sembra un' esagerazione. ( Parlo in generale, non sto accusando nessuno dei qui " presenti"..per ora)

    • @shotokhan4078
      @shotokhan4078 4 года назад +1

      non faccio KM, ho fatto varie arti marziali ed ora faccio lotta libera. PRIMA REGOLA: se fai a botte per strada sicuramente ti fai male anche se sei molto allenato perché l'aggressore ti vuole fare male e non ci sono regole. Certo, se per assurdo poi l'avversario è la metà di te e pure disarmato (in quel caso è matto) questa regola magari non vale :D

    if you have the cold blood to pull it off then you'll be alright, cause the principle indeed is simple, effective but most important accurate but average fighters might have real trouble getting used to the coming forward to the hit instead of backing up...but this is truly the way to do it, attitude...
