I always hated playing this game as a kid, the music and sound effects, not to mention some of the characters' expressions, always scared the crap out of me (in particular whenever the knife was involved in anything).

Mr. Green and Cornel Mustard scared the crap out of me. The lack of music and their expressions terrified me.
Also, if you are the murderer and guess correctly, your character basically is like, “oops, I guess I just exposed myself.” Pretty cool attention to detail!
