I've found using 2nd out of the hairpin preserves the rears a bit more without losing too much time whilst also giving you something to push with later in the race. Great vid Dave!
Thanks for the tip. I tried it and found that 2nd is just much more stable coming out of the hairpin (less worry about spinning out) without any significant impact in time (at least in my split)
Good too see survived the rain....I'm kinda glad my shoulder ruined my "career" Intense(?) racing in the rain...Still..always good to see your videos on racing...sadly rigs and equipment are way too pricey here in Thailand....but who knows the future :) Love your videos man, keep' em comin'
Question for you Dave. I am a man of a similar age to you and I play F1 but notice that my reactions aren't what they were, and thus, I am not really competitive. I am certainly not in your calibre and do not suggest that you wouldn't crush on F1 but would you suggest I try a race series where my older racing brain might be better suited?
Thanks for the video Dave, it was great fun to watch again. 🙂👍 Especially because I drove Porsche Cup for the first time last week on Hockenheim. I drove seven or eight races. It's so much fun, but I realized that it's not healthy for the safety rating. I dropped from A4.99 to A2.2. I'm mostly in the third split with 1.4k IR, as I've only been driving iRacing for 3 months. Somehow there's almost always rumble and touches, off tracks rather less, yet I've lost so much SR. I know that with an A license you lose more SR if you drive races that belong to a lower license class. But to this extent? Is that really what iRacing wants? Should you only drive IMSA races with an A license? In any case, I find this totally stupid and strange in terms of logic and somehow I can hardly believe that this is what Iracing wants. I want to drive Porsche Cup or Ringmeister without the fear of losing my entire SR. What do you think? What advice can you give a "beginner" in this regard and how can you compensate for this, which you apparently have to do? Thanks for your help 🙂
@@davecamytcould we get a shoulder view of your new 48” monitor? Also how far are your eyes from this monitor? Love to hear your thoughts on this screen vs the triple 27’s. I’m considering going triple 48’s. Thanks 😊
Another amazing Race Dave Cam what’s the settings on your force feedback you are amazing and handling it and saving it when you need to I have a Fanatec GT3 McLaren wheel
How come your "Jim" is a lot more chatty? Is there a setting which does this on Crew Chief or is it just (and more depressingly) that i am bang average at sim racing and he has little to gwt excited about lol?
@@davecamyt Good to know! They've been at the top of my list for load cells, I just wish Barry and SRG was still around to give them a full run through
I thought you said your were stopping using the alternate account and staying with your main? Shouldn’t be concerned as a content creator losing/gaining IR and SR with your main.
You may notice this video is a little 'blue'. I've had some issues with the tone mapping which are hopefully now fixed. We'll see on the next video 😁
That's the "Europe" filter in US tv shows and movies xD
matches my mood, so all seems right
BF3 tint
“You may notice this video is a little blue” a bit like Jules video🤣 nice job Dave anyway.
i enjoy the rounded corners of your webcam. from a viewers point of view the single screen is nicer also. thanks dave

Dave, your down shifts are music to my ears bro 😊
Your intros always make me laugh, and always remind me to hit the like button straight away. Cheers for the content

Thank god for a dry race, kinda sick of the rain already…
Wish Iracing would give some love to the in game UI, love how yours looks
Apparently it's in the works 😁
@@davecamytAwesome, appreciate the reply.

Too good! What is the value of ur main sim rig these days? Any scope for a but kicker / proper movement gyros?
I've not added up the cost, but way too much 🤣
No, motion is great at an exhibition but I wouldn't like it on the rig permanently

4:52 LMFAO
I’m not the only one who heard that right 😂
I was just about to comment the exact same thing 😂😂
Have you adjusted the fov? It doesn't look right at all and I think the sun has stopped working
I absolutely love this Car and Series but my god ive been messing up the last 3 races 😂
How do you know what split your in? I hear people say it all the time but never know how to check it before a race

Everyone forgetting what a "racing line" ( whatever that means) is 😂
Thank you, Dave! Where can I get this Spotter from? Is it Racelabs? If yes, I can't find it there..
The spotter is a program called crew chief 👍
Ah thank you 👍
Huh? The gt3 porsche cup car has rain? It’s not on the list ive got hmm 🧐
Are you still running the XP1 pedals? If so, how have they been holding up?
I am indeed. I love them 👍

Great video! How are you liking the tv over the triples?
I'm really enjoying it. Being on a single has so many benefits
you get less incident points in the rain??? haha. Good Job though, the hairpin seemed to be you nemesis?
Your FOV looks really different. Are you recording the replay now so you can use a wider FOV?
I'm on a single screen 👍
I came here to figure out how you launch and have been foiled 😂
Dave what wheel/wheel base are you using? looking at upgrades.
he has his rig specs in the description, pretty sure he is on Rig 1.
I use the Asetek Invicta
“Ride that sausage”
*sighs and goes to the comments*
0:16 😂
Love this combo... whats the weather overlay you are using?
That's part of Racelab 👍
@davecamm shows how long its been since ive gone into my racelabs settings. Thanks Dave
You know I love you.
Why no triples? You're the reason I run triples. I couldn't imagine going to a single, maybe an ultra wide, but not a single.
Triples are brilliant, but being on a single as a content creator has so many positives. Plus, an oled screen in HDR is something else 😁
Nice...
How similar are the cup cars to the other gt3 porches?
Completely different. Less aero and no TC or abs 🫤
@@davecamyt gotcha. I’ve driven the other ones and they seemed pretty tame compared to these cup cars haha
This fov is definitely worse for watching on an iPad than when you’re running triple!
You did what on that sausage? :L
This and your previous video has some weird blue "tint" over it.
Yep, tone mapping issues. Think I've sorted it. We'll see on the next video 😁

Who said I was concerned? I think I've proved that numbers don't matter.
@@davecamyt Apologies Dave. I didn’t mean any disrespect by it. 🥂
