Happy Old Dog Trying To Catch Fish In Calm Water of Sand Hollow Reservoir During Triathlon 6-8-2024

We took our 12 year old English cream golden retriever to Sand Hollow State Park in Hurricane Utah during the Sand Hollow Triathlon (swim, bike & run).
Since the boat ramp was closed from 6am to 11am for the swimmers, the water was very calm and our dog was able to see the fish swimming near the island.

Hi Susan, thank you for the kind comment. 🙂😀 Yes, we have very much enjoyed being with him these last 12 years. I'm so thankful that he is still so healthy and strong for his age. He didn't want to stop "fishing" at this spot when we had been there for about two hours. I had to pull him off the island and back on my paddle board so we could head back home.

Hi, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. It was a really great day on the water. Usually, the Sand Hollow reservoir is very wavy due to all of the wake surfing boats and jet skis zooming around. The boat ramp was closed from 6am to 11am for the swimmers participating in a triathlon so it was glassy and calm. You can hear the triathlon spectators cheering in the background.
