Bruce , they are NOT '' Hamburgers '' !!! There is NO HAM in those Ground Beef Patties ! Just BEEF !!! They are just BURGERS !!! The Hamburg Steak originated in Hamburg, Germany ! It's a Thick Ground Beef Steak patty cooked and topped with a brown onion mushroom gravy. The Original Burger & Cheeseburger originated at a Truck Stop Cafe in Athens, Tx in 1898 by a man named Uncle Dave Fletcher who introduced it at the State Fair in Dallas, Tx in 1904 ! Two different food items ! And if the Bacon came from a Pig born, raised, butchered and processed in Canada, then one can call it Canadian Bacon !! LOL
